Buddy... if they meant its confirmed in new game +, thered be a plus there. when these wikis say something is confirmed in NG... they mean "new game" i.e. the normal game. you could figure this out with context clues, like the fact that TWO LINES UP they actually say "confirmed in NG+" and not "NG" Maybe try for 100% reading comprehension mastery first.
The bosses are actually more punishing you for playing passive in single player you should go for an attack even during a bosses combo so long as they have a massive whiff it also encourages trading damage with the bosses if you think you can get the better end of that trade which feels really odd coming out of dark souls where attacking a boss during an attack was almost a garunteed death or net loss
I told a normal person at my job I was excited for elden rings dlc and she asked what Elden ring was and I was like…… how do you describe that which commanded the stars? That which gives life its fullest brilliance?
Silly Theory: Elden Ring is making fun of America. Evidence: 1. the goddess's name Marika 2. Obsession with gold. Ending the golden order f'd things up, as many feel leaving the gold standard did 3. Everyone keeps repeating the same behaviors 4. Areas of higher learning are heavily gatekept. Education is withheld, hidden, and insular. 5. Powerful leaders who are all old, crazy, and corrupt 6. The power behind the government is a space dragon thing, an analog of alien snake people. 7. Inbreeding galore lead to scarlet rot swamp (roll tide) 8. Bears. Bears. Bears. 9. Follow the "greater will", a higher power that doesnt respond to anyone except a chosen few...except doesnt really respond to anyone.
Its less about which game came first and more about what aspects Fromsoft took into other games. The mechanics of Demon's Souls, like levels instead of an interconnected world, healing herbs and the world tendency system.
Elden ring is about a young girl from a shaman village who are an oppressed and persecuted people from another land by the hornsent,an ancient and native race who worship the crucible. One day an ancient alien life form that was cast down or sent by the greater will from long ago begins to psychically communicate with a young Marika, seducing her with a plot to slay the than ruling god. Afterwards she fled to the lands between, where our story begins.
That’s the plot yeah. But I still don’t know what it’s about themeaticaly. The lore is also patchy at best. Why were the shamans being made into jars? What did it mean their flesh can meld? How is this relevant to Marika?
@@umwha They were being put into jars because the numen lacked horns, so to the hornsent they were seen as broken or incomplete. This was the hornsents misguided attempt to " fix them"

In the end you could say that elden ring is about the nature of humanity and the many differnt yet similar generations of our inheritance we exist in a cycle of life, death, love, anger, pain, pleasure, suffering, and peace in some way or form we are hypocrites but we are also true to ourselves just as much war is apart of our being as much as cooperation is apart of us in my opinion elden ring is the best representation of what humanity truely is hopeless hypocrites who wish for better who fight for better despite our flaws it is not evil nor is it good it is just us
You know, the fact the basic endings already help others, like the duskborn makes those born in death accepted (essentially redeeming Godwyn), order fixes the initial problems with the golden order (like the constant war and hate which is found in radagon who refuses to change and wants things to return to normal, hence him trying to repair the ring), then the stars ending overhauls the broken order and presumably fixes things. Thus, there's no need for the age of compassion because like with the hornsent and the golden order, there's no way to have a perfect order because there will always be a cycle of hatred (hornsent killed Marika's people, she killed most of them, then the Hornsent tried to kill everyone to do with the erdtree after you help him kill Messmer) due to how people are, regardless of if someone ascends to godhood or not. That's why Miquella could only achieve his age of compassion by pulling a Makima and dominating all things into submission, because people are inherently flawed. But, in the end, what Ansbach says during the final fight (if he dies, I believe). we should try to create an age of men, not of gods. So, what you said about the community being what Elden Ring is about is correct. Even the strongest beings in existence, the gods, can't stand up against people when they unite. That's why the endings are prominently about people, not demigods (save for Ranni) and even the Frenzied Flame ending is brought about by the request of the Hyetta (or is supposed to be, if you do her quest proper). It's because the game is about the people and SO is the World! The Greater Will cast aside the ancient dragons and later the gods, but relied on the tarnished, the people in the end! It's about making a BETTER world through the PEOPLE, not the gods! And that's also why there isn't an ending for siding with Rykard, or Mohg, or Miquella, because they are things of the past and the tarnished are the inheritors of the future!
i am fully convinced by your comment here. ive been extremely pro miquella for the entire DLC, and Ive been wondering why he doesn't have an ending. but you are right. its not about gods, it's about the tarnished. its not a story about which powerful person is better than the other, it's about how the people can be free and live for themselves, without these higher influences and their petty squabbles making a mess of everything.
I'm curious as to why the undead ALL start from the asylum, covenant of Way of White. However, Leeroy the first undead Paladin created, was created in the catacombs. Gwyn is weak to Occult, meaning he must be Holy as are Gwyndolin and the SilverKnights. Ornstein is also weak to Occult. So, could Gwyn be trying to keep the fire from being lit because he knows the truth. And the firekeeper who has been maimed and had her tongue removed to keep quiet and helpless.
I think, as beginning as a hollow, we only gain consciousness (being able to control the character) after being given hope of escape by Oscar (giving us the key to the cell door). For the Gwyn thing, I don't think he is trying to keep the fire from being lit. That is where his power came from. He is defending it along side those black knights leading up to the kiln. If he loses control of it, regardless of the undeads intentions, he will lose control of Lordran.
Algorithm reccomended this to me, and I wasn't dissapointed. Only minor quibble I have is that Sens Fortress was originally built as a training ground for the SIlver Knights, rather than being purpose built as a test.
Nope. That's a theory by Hawkshaw; it's also one immediately disproven by the non-existence of the Fortress in the DLC( three hundred years ago) along with the entire Undead Burg complex. Only Anor Londo appears, as well as what would become Darkroot Garden. For comparison, Gwyn linked the Fire a thousand years before the game, and thus seven hundred years before the DLC. By the time the Fortress was built, there were no " new" Silver Knights. Moreover, the Fortress is explicitly built for the same purpose as the Battles Of Stoicism in former Oolacile; winning allows you to reach Anor Londo. With Oolacile's destruction, a replacement was needed; the Fortress was the replacement. The armour possibly indicates Silver Knights once were part of the " test" of the Fortress, before most of them left. Would've given us a taste of things to come up above.

Regardless of the fact Andre isn't "the game", or all-knowing, he also says in the same breath that many have tried to cross it, implying it is primarily used by Undead like us. This,combined with the former existence of the Battles Of Stoicism for the same function( reaching Anor Londo), as well as the non-existence of the fortress on the DLC's world, indicates the fortress is younger than the Battles Of Stoicism and therefore,could not have been used to train Silver Knights during the Dragon Wars, thousands of years prior(or do you think they happened after the DLC?). It's simply absurd; the timeline doesn't match. In other words, yes,it is an old proving ground built by the ancient gods.... For us. Stop clinging to one man's theories; expand your horizons.
