Nope. That's a theory by Hawkshaw; it's also one immediately disproven by the non-existence of the Fortress in the DLC( three hundred years ago) along with the entire Undead Burg complex. Only Anor Londo appears, as well as what would become Darkroot Garden. For comparison, Gwyn linked the Fire a thousand years before the game, and thus seven hundred years before the DLC. By the time the Fortress was built, there were no " new" Silver Knights. Moreover, the Fortress is explicitly built for the same purpose as the Battles Of Stoicism in former Oolacile; winning allows you to reach Anor Londo. With Oolacile's destruction, a replacement was needed; the Fortress was the replacement. The armour possibly indicates Silver Knights once were part of the " test" of the Fortress, before most of them left. Would've given us a taste of things to come up above.

Regardless of the fact Andre isn't "the game", or all-knowing, he also says in the same breath that many have tried to cross it, implying it is primarily used by Undead like us. This,combined with the former existence of the Battles Of Stoicism for the same function( reaching Anor Londo), as well as the non-existence of the fortress on the DLC's world, indicates the fortress is younger than the Battles Of Stoicism and therefore,could not have been used to train Silver Knights during the Dragon Wars, thousands of years prior(or do you think they happened after the DLC?). It's simply absurd; the timeline doesn't match. In other words, yes,it is an old proving ground built by the ancient gods.... For us. Stop clinging to one man's theories; expand your horizons.

I'm going by what the game literally tells us (also, you seem to forget the whole 'time is convoluted' thing, which leads to places not being where they're meant to, etc). Let's break this down. On one hand, you have me, going by what the game tells us. On the other hand, we have you, with wild theories and conjecture. Who is more likely to be correct?

I'm using the timeline given by the developers. What are you using, precisely? The game literally tells us nothing of the sort. Untill you give me a source, the burden of proof is on you. Also, it happens specifically when the Fire fades; you'll need something better to apply to the DLC. I genuinely hope you're being facetious right now.
