Hey man! I love the truck and the content, I'm actually looking at getting a frontier myself, what size lift and tires did you put on there? it looks awesome!
What up brother?? I'm in Asheville NC just got cell service no power or water but I can't tell you how happy I am to turn on RU-vid and see your video. This will be the first entertainment I've had in a few days.
That's interesting to watch. All these other youtubers were showing off their TRD OR/TRAILHUNTER/TRD PRO that pushes $70k and yet this little SR5 that's almost stock is doing just fine. It just proves you don't need to spend 60k+ on a higher trim and you'll do just fine in majority of the off-road situations in a base model trim
yea, find another dealer. its a 1.5-2 hour process on the computer. you likely wont be able to get it on the weekend tho... oil change techs cant do it. I had to take time off work for mine.
I went through a similar issue with my 2017 Taco and a TSB for the transmission and its goofy shifting. They wouldn't do the update because they couldn't replicate the issue and said if they did it with replicating the issue they could generate problems with the transmission going forward. I eventually got a kd max tune and that fixed the goofiness of Toyota and their stupid shifting issue. Next vehicle I get is a stick ftw.
Sounds like that lady is clueless and was just talking crap to make you go away. My jeep is currently at the shop and has been for over a week because it’s having the clutch assembly recall done and I’m pissed because they’re telling me they “have to wait on the computer program to get there from jeep” to reprogram the computer. Like bro? You’re a jeep dealership? I can program gear ratio and tire size with a $150 tazr but you guys can’t do it with a billion dollar corporation backing you? I hate dealers. I’m about to raise hell.
@@4wdAdventurz when the technology to do anything more than a basic brake change started requiring you to go to them for maintenance, I guess. Plus it’s free, compared to a clutch job elsewhere that would be $2000. Jeep is also probably going to declare bankruptcy soon because the only thing that’s selling is wranglers and even those sales are down like 20% over last year because the things are too damn expensive for people with normal jobs to afford.
Another good video! Thanks for the trans update, I worry if I have it done it would make my downshift in the lower gears worse or cause another issue trying to fix a minor annoyance as I’m not experiencing hard downshift.
Yeah. I didn’t experience any issues until about 48,000 miles. But, like I said the video it seems like it’s gotten better recently. And I wheeled all day with no problems.
Can't wait to see when you have the locker installed. Game changer!! The transmission update is a TSB it is not a part that is needed. Sorry, the woman at the dealership is talking nonsense. She is clueless. Go to another dealer.
That lady at Nissan has no clue what she even talking about bubs. Don’t give up on it though. Get it done. I’ll be going in and having that done soon on my ‘24 Pro4X.
NTB24-005 Is the update you want. You have to specifically say that "ENGINE RPM HIGHER THAN EXPECTED WHEN USING INTELLIGENT CRUISE CONTROL". Took the dealer 3 hours to complete for me. I had to fight them to get them to do their job lol. For me it took two tries, the first time they gave me some bs like they did for you but after I called them out and complained to the manager (and gave them the printout of the TSB they got it done). BTW its only a software upgrade.
@@4wdAdventurz well I was referring to the nitwit at the dealership you had to deal with that had no idea. What's crazy is she could be your nurse tomorrow or your pilot.
@@4wdAdventurzI'd call them first and make sure they are familiar with the TSB. Mine took 25 minutes at Fox Nissan in Grand Rapids, MI. It was only the second one they had done.
Did you say one of your boys is off-roading with a spacer lift? How’s the ride quality? I got the the NISMO suspension coil overs front and rear with the remote reservoir, but I’d like another inch with out compromising anything
It would be fine. Just keep an eye on the clearance of the upper control arm and the coil bucket. I ran a spacer for almost a year. Ride was basically the same as stock..🤷🏼♂️ I Couldn’t tell much difference
I know you said you are coming up on 50k, so what’s your thoughts on a Fuel Induction service? Everyone(not just shops) seems to recommend it for GDI engines because of the carbon buildup. This is my first gdi, so idk.
@@dennisybanez no. This lift was fine. Just wasn’t what I needed/wanted anymore. This is one of the videos I did a while back talking about why i switched. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5AoJ4eXLpio.htmlsi=4hC0G5N7OsvkRnMM
There is a relocation mouse that comes with the bumper. It’s relocated to the top of the bumper behind a plastic cover. You can see it directly above the winch.
What do you think about the performance ignition coils from Z1? I've heard everything from both sides of the spectrum. Some say they are totally worth it and some say they couldn't really tell any significant differences to justify buying.
I don’t really have a an option on them honestly. I’ve also heard both sides. 🤷🏼♂️. Everything I’ve seen z1 out out has been solid so…I’d say they are probably worth it.
Would they be something you would put on your truck and test out? I don't know how it all works but would they give them to you to test and review?@@4wdAdventurz
My pro4x didn’t have a hitch from factory. Also the bed size can be selected larger by configuring the truck the way you wish. You saw the truck before you bought it right?

My only reservation with the Dobinsons rear shocks are only designed for up to 1.5” lift on d41s. They actually don’t have much travel. I wish they offered a long travel version like I had on my Toyota.
To Buy an E locker is about $1600. And get the same skid plates that come on the Pro 4x would only be a couple hundred dollars. So if you didn’t do the install of the locker yourself, you probably would spend about $500-600. Let’s say Altadore you’re probably looking about $2500 to take a base model 4 x 4 into a Pro 4x.
@@4wdAdventurz I appreciate that brother! I like the pro4x but they want an arm and a leg for vehicles these days. I prefer function over looks and in my opinion the base headlight housing is more appealing anyway.
