didn't even bother to put off road tires on it to make it a fair comparison. those tires are a joke for this. put those same tires on the red truck and you would have the same issues
Isnt really a comparison video. In fact, the red truck has been stuck in every spot the cyber truck was stuck in. Even with good tires. Actually, I advised against going in every hole that the truck gets stuck in lol I spoke from experience
@@chakmiss No, I agree with Voxel that the Hummer EV would do better because of its approach / departure angle, wide tires and sheer power. But it would have to be the SUV version with the off-road package, not the truck version. Need the shorter wheel base.
lol!!! its not about the price because people in Australia for example busy brand new toyota land cruiser very expensive and literaly cut the chassis and extend up to 600mm, increases the payload and finally bigger fuel tanks..... wasnt the cybertruk supposed to be the "toughest" truck ever made?!
what does tesla people does with all the "saved" money?! all the money from stock....?! its people like heavy D that actually does some rough thing with that ev!
Props? WTH, that's SUPPOSED to be what its made for. I have one reserved for 41/2 years now. Glad I have not configured yet. The more I watch of this thing not being able to do anything expected. Didn't help that this guy has probably never driven in the swamp before. Babying it won't get it done out there.
thank you for sharing. Never seen a "real" video of the Cybertruck in the woods. Been following you because we are in the market for a nissan and really like your content and presentations. Great video.
I love that Nissan is finally digging out of that slump they were in, red truck looks good. I'm a big cyber truck fan, update and tires would help. cool video
Jesus finally a video without 99% bloat. Most are 50% b roll, 40% talking without saying anything, 5% braindead influencer hive mind, 4% cringe, and 1% no music raw footage of capability. Best video ive watched yet.
its definetly not you should try and learn about the mercedes gwagen professional very basic truck with 3 locking diffs and impressive offroad and overall capabilities, also available in 6x6 config.
Yes, never use Kinetic recovery on a vehicle stuck in mud. The vacuum of being stuck makes kinetic recovery dangerous. Steady static recovery is the best option in these cases. As someone who was a FF/EMT and a recovery/tow operator, I’ve seen some horrible things when people don’t do things right. Be safe!
You can build a hell of a rig for much less than $100k. I can understand if the vehicle was a better starting point for a rig, but I just don’t see that at all. In other words, a fully modded CT is not going to be more capable than a fully prepped ice rig costing less than half the price. I just hate the fact that Tesla fans are egotistical enough to say this thing is better than an ice rig. It’s not, nowhere near.😂
For anyone who's actually seen the Cybertruck in person, they know it's a pretty large vehicle. When looking at the size of the CT in comparison to that air lift at 7:30 that's A LOT of hang time!
The Cybertruck is worse than a truck because it isn't frame mounted on solid axles but unibody with independent suspension. This severely limits articulation.
This was filmed before the update that offers lockers. I'd like to see what I can do now..I doubt he'll spend the money on tires. As soon as his Cyberbeast is ready this one's getting traded in.🤷🏼♂️
I think they are fun to drive and ride in. I'm sure the Beast will be even more so..They obviously werent made for offroading but it's still fun to see.
@Deep.Development Toyota makes too much $ selling ICE designed to fail immediately after the warranty runs out. They won't produce a real attempt at EVs till closer to the mandate.
@@lowtech_1even a tank isn’t immune to certain rnds, what’s your point? It’s been shown to stop .22 cal, .45 cal, 9mm and 12 ga. 00 buck rnds. Seems better than any car or truck out there
Literally just saw one on my street today 3 hours before watching this… every single time I step away from social media I end up liking that truck. That thing could be a literal rock but if Kanye likes then I understand its purpose. It’s literally just a celebrity bulletproof truck, it’s sick & it’s massive.
Cybertruck is really the coolest thing out there, thanks for the video! It will be great when the stop selling the founders series so the dual motor can be bought for under 80’
Most unsurprising problem i have seen for Cybertruck is the automatic bed covering system loses alignment as basically the truck gets bent. Easy to break the windshield as well. Long way to go for what is an amazing machine tho.
Hahah. Yeah that’s it 🙄. It’s not the tires. My truck (the red one) has been stuck in all the same places the cyber truck was. It’s more than just the tires..
You guys did an awesome job! I plan on taking my CT off road 10% of the time. So the fact that it can do all of this without the off road tires AND I can resume as a normal truck when I'm done is more than great. Finally, more folk doing more off road with the CT!!! Cant wait for mine!
2nd poodle: absolutely terrible 4x traction control/diffs. Short overhangs front and back help a lot. Air bag lifter is, as they said. Naking the suspension stiff. It will also wear out fast in this kind off roading increasing thr maintenance costs exponentially.
Maybe! I want to do a second video with all the updates, but it honestly hasn't rained in a while (like 3 months) and there isn't any water or mud right now lol. Hopefully soon!
Hey enjoy seeing your truck hard to find content on these new Frontiers. Question is did you have to cut some of the body for 35’s or you wanted to for more flex on trails ? Was there rubbing on just normal daily driving or just rubbing on trails? I’m really trying to figure out what truck I want to buy. I know I can fit 35s on a Tacoma with same rough country lift and no rubbing but I really love the look of the new Frontiers and to be honest the price of them are hard to beat. Thanks for the videos enjoy all of them
Things to love about EVs: 1. Child battery labor 2. Range anxiety 3. Risk of garage fires 4. Paying 20k more than a comparable vehicle 5. Battery degredation 6. Poor resale value 7. Reduced performance in cold, highway 8. Higher repair costs 9. Awful charging network experiences in the weather without restrooms 10. Higher insurance rates 11. Replacing tires more frequently But hey theres a tax credit! The Cybertruck is hideous.
Child labor? Yeah right lmao. You would sell everything you have and live like a monk in the woods if you really cared about that. Your list has valid criticism and nitpicks, condense it to just the valid stuff if you want people to take it more seriously.
@D-yf7kc No, it's not. And he didn't preface his points by saying a 100k truck. He said all EVs. Complaining about battery garage fires is like listing a reason for not taking a cruise- because it might sink, or a plane might crash. It's ridiculous and pedantic for essentially a non issue, unless you buy from manufacture known for (a)shoddy product(s). Ex: garage fires as a valid reason for an unknown Chinese EV brand or plane crashes for Boeings' new 747 that they cut corners on. Listing a reason that you don't want to take a bus because the bus driver might crash is valid, but it's a nitpick because of the statistical improbablity, and anyone who isn't infantilized is not going to take you seriously.
Most EVs don’t even use cobalt. You charge your car every night. A Tesla even without the tax credit is cheaper than the avg cost in US ($48k). The resale is poor, mostly due to Tesla lowering their prices which affects used vehicles. You think a 99.6% up time on Tesla chargers is “awful”? Makes me think you’re a 12 yr old. Actually research your claims
I'd be nervous taking anything electric through water, those electric motors probably would have some kind of breather on each motor, if so they would probably have to be extended up out of the way so water and mud don't get in or block it
Absolutely misrepresentation of CyberTruck capabilities: 1- learn how to off-road 2- learn how to use all incredible features release for CyberTruck 3- Recent update v12(2024.14.3) would provide you an incredible options for all terrains conditions mud: slippery/ Baja/lock front or rear deferential: trail assist mode/ ride handling with load - the biggest update with stand alone App in the cluster panel will custom design your ride and choose literally everything to fit your mission - for all fairness bring CT back after the new update with little more experienced driver ! Let him use front/rear cameras with a little button to the right side of the steering wheel ! That will help a lot !! Right now I’m rating your video bias with one ⭐️only
Just got a tactical green pro-4x, saw the other video for the bump stops for the current gen frontiers, definitely on the shopping list, up here in Jax, maybe i'll run into RED on the trail sometime.
Join the FB group and if I got out anywhere I'll post there and your always welcome! I want to get back up to Osceola national forest while it's still dry out and give that another shot.
I always thought that there would be no way in hell I would ever buy something like that silly truck. After watching that video I can say for absolute certainty I would never ever buy anything even remotely close to this or anything like this. The error code at the end was just icing on the cake.
That's a good question. I was distracted with pulling him out and making sure we didn't fuck up this $70k truck that I forgot to ask what exactly the code was saying..
That’s about what I expected! To each their own but I just don’t “get” what that thing is for. Also, I don’t know if cybertruck hitches are the same, but instead of putting the rope on the ball, you can take the receiver out completely and just insert the rope and put the hitch pin through that. No projectile danger in that scenario.
Yeah, I now have a shackle receiver. But at this particular day, my truck only had a ball hitch so that’s why if you notice in the video when I hook up the kinetic rope I don’t yank on it hard. I slightly pull on it. The cyber truck had a freeway hitch that also had a hook on it. So I was more confident with that than I was with the ball hitch on mine. We got all the proper gear now. But on this day, just may do with what I had.
Yup I was surprised to see it spinning tires, even the Frontier and Tacoma have brake-controlled slip limiters I'm surprised with all the tech in that thing it couldn't do much to control the spin. Then again with an offroader it's all about tires and the stock tires on any 4x4, especially that Tesla, aren't doing it any favors. Good video I'm enjoying your channel a lot
Don’t worry the Apocalypse will be held on pavement. The truck really excels at going in a straight line really fast on roads. Really futuristic even shed’s body panels for weight reduction.
