Welcome to my RU-vid channel. Here you will find videos where I "work" and ride some of my horses in liberty. Recently I also started uploading highlights of interviews I made for my website www.matthiasgeysen.com. The full interviews are only visible when you are signed in to our Discovery Program which you can find on our website. Hope to see you guys there ;)
Our pony Ruby was on your Alp in the Swiss mountains and got badly injured after two days. She hit against the wall of the house on the Alp, barely survived and will be handicapped for the rest of her life. We have a sanctuary with almost 60 abandoned animals and Ruby is a member of our equine herd. We do not blame you for her fall. But we do blame you for not paying back the money we paid for Ruby to be on the Alp and which your friend Chiara promised us to refund. Ruby had to be taken down from the Alp in emergency by a helicopter and brought to the veterinary hospital. You took a video from her departure and illegally, without asking us, posted it on Social Media. After two weeks of reminding you and insisting to delete it, you told us that you have deleted the video. We could check on FB but we did not have an Instagram account and trusted your word. Now, it turned out that you let the video on Instagram until we found out three months after Rubys fall. For three months, you entertained your followers illegally with a video of Ruby hanging miserably on a rope from the Helicopter and with news about her situation. No person who loves horses does something like that.
Hey Matthias! just a reminder to finally repay the alp boarding fee that you/your acquaintance has been owing the owner for more than 3 months for Ruby (the pony that got badly injured on your alp - remember her?!). show empathy and integrity instead of posting airy-fairy videos. just a friendly reminder. 😊
Also, wann kommt denn diese Rückzahlung endlich? Come on!
I needed this...I just got done with a difficult groundwork session where i just said " why am I even doing this" so I got on the horse and justcwent for a ride and she did everything I asked and we had a great ride...poor training session but great hack....whats more important 😊
I love what he is saying about technique. It's a shallow box, inside which people tend to stay, not realizing that steps of techniques give them an illusive sense of self superiority, authority, and validation. In my case, horses showed me from the very beginning that my "way" cannot be inside of the technique, schedule or routine way. Instead straight jumping into spontanous dynamics of unpredictable. And I am so grateful for that ❤
Wonderful plans Matthias - I can't wait to see how this is all going to develop for you and Chiara! It sounds like this place will be very unique and will be a blessing for many on their (horse) journey 😊
Hello Matthias, thank you for your interesting video about your plans for the future. You mentioned, that you also plan some lectures in Czech Republic. WOW, it would be amazing. I am from Czech Republic and I would like to attend your course. How can I register to your course?
Would it be possible to send me a message on fb or Instagram under the name matthias geysen. Then I can send you the mail address of the person who is organizing the lecture in Praag if you would be interested in joining us 😊
Just found you today. Food for my soul. I have a question: How do you look after your horses' backs with riding bareback? I love bareback but I have a boney bum and use a deerskin but not sure my horse really likes it?
With every breed it is different. Some have a very strong and comfortable back and it causes no problem and for some horses it is indeed not so comfortable. Best to train the back muscles of your horse so he is able to carry you on a good way and build up the time you are riding bareback. Start with 5 min and slowly build it up to longer period of time.
I'd love to know the exact steps you took in doing this... I don't even care so much about liberty just about my horse being about to slow down and think, trust and remain calm. LOVE THIS!
Wow, wonderful story, I listened to it twice. I identify with everything you told us. I understand how the journey led you to the final solution of what you are doing with people and horses now . Amazing! Obstacles on the way and inner feelings, when we listen to them, will lead us to where we are best. I'm happy that someone else sees the world of horses the way I do. For me, the most beautiful feeling is just being with the horses, being part of the herd and watching them. So exactly what you mention at the end of the video. There is no need for any training, special dressage and tricks with horses. I stubbornly did things my way, even though my equine community finds it ridiculous when I go for a long walk with my horse to the nature. My questions for you. 1) How many your own horses do you have? 2) Do you still ride without a saddle and without a bridle out into nature? 3) How many horses do you and your girlfriend have together in the herd now? 4) How will the summer camp with the horses at your place turn out, what will the program be and for how many days for one tour? I'm rooting for you so much, you're a wonderful person, I wish you all the best. And I'm really looking forward to more videos with you. ❤
Amazing connection. Two different species together as one. However, you put yourself out for everyone to see and maybe try and copy. In that vain please wear a helmet. One brain uses it and protects it. Brain injuries have ongoing problems if not death.
Love this! I have a horse just like this one, so sweet but sensitive, but completely falls apart emotionally when ridden. Do you have training videos? Can I join your club to receive training aids?
This is at an other level of communication I have seen - notice The horse looking fore cars when crossing The Road is out of this world You are Living my Dream - hope I Can meet you one Day
I just found your videos, i dont believe what im seeing. I will follow the journey! I have an Arabian mix that is very sweet but can suddenly go nuts, she is almost three, it must be her age, and more connection making.
