Just an ordinary bloke who loves bush walking and checking out new bars on the weekends. A regular at Park Runs on Saturday. Blood 🩸, Plasma and Platelets Donor.
This channel was opened for fun and to document my personal journeys so that I never lose my videos due to memory issues.
Hey, they do not ask for Covid certificate anymore. However, they have recently started tourist tax. They have these QR codes once you reach the terminal and you need to self pay. Not sure if this is tracked somehow once you reach the immigration counter against the details you enter. We paid and were not asked to show the confirmation. It’s a new rule so quite ambiguous. Just FYI :)
Very well done! As you mentioned those black bands are heartrate sensors which you can connect to your watch or phone. They are way more accurate than the infrared sensor on a watch. The bands have a accuracy of 95%+ whereas the watches only have 30-60%.
Thank you for your appreciation. We hope to keep the runners / walkers interested in their fitness journey and showcase what the pros and cons. We hope to improve our content and video performance and get better along the journey.
Great video & am pleased that I'm not the only one who found it challenging. This parkrun, is not for the faint hearted or accident prone people like I am. I went over three times, suffered bruises, cuts & a bit of tendon damage to my shoulder. On the day, a runner got taken to hospital with concussion & fractured ribs. Enough from me, although beware everyone thinking about running this one if you're vertically challenged. I shan't forget Lawson parkrun for a while 😀 Then again, I'm just a whinging tourist from the UK
You definitely are not the only one. Spoke to quite a few tourist runners there and they shared the same feeling. Surprisingly, the locals who were volunteering were shocked when I called it the most difficult park run in Sydney :).
My old hometown 😊 I spent part of my childhood in Nyngan and loved it so much. We were living in Nyngan when the entire town flooded and were evacuated by boat and helicopter, but the big flood that inundated us was back in 1990 (not 2009) Your accommodation used to be a dress and sewing supply shop when we lived in Nyngan in the late 80s - mid 90s. The same people who renovated your accommodation are also doing the big pub restoration across the road from the railway gate park as well. If ever you go back through Nyngan, the museum is well worth the look - a lady named Glad Eldridge who was a lifelong resident of Nyngan, was instrumental in getting it all put together. Thank you for the look around town!
@@lindsayg665 Can imagine. I was at my mate's house in QLD couple of years and saw his house go under water during the floods. It was couple of metres high and he almost lost his house.
Cracking 😂 what a total arsehole!!! Haaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrriiiiiiissssssssssse TBF the security guard did good shouting relax and then pushed him on his arse. The others rushing in thinking they’re all that. Little Whimps.
