Feel the showrunner is using these early epidodes to show us the motives, the jealousies, the resentments within the family, both Greens and Blacks, before the fighting starts. Found it ironic that Daemon dreams of Rhaenyra as a child, sewing on the head of the King's heir. He's beside a Westwood tree. Any connection to the dream? The reason for the dream maybe?
Was not a fan of how this ended, was really a bit lacklustre for me... Time travel shows and movies are my jam though. Maybe I've been spoilt by shows like Dark and Outer Range, I did like the song at the end... Roost by Big Black Delta, not a total write off 😅
I don't think the finale was in Jason 1's original world but sooo similar to his. I saw slight differences in though things could have changed while time passed in his absence; however, the characters had slight differences. So if this is Jason 1, he may have snapped up someone else's family. This situation may indeed be happening on many alternate worlds, to include but not limited to, the prime world where it all started. Furthermore, there may be a world(s) that Jason 2 (or variant) has NOT broken the cement seal of the box. All this proves is that the possibility of even thinking it possible and plausible by physics conventions, it can happen. BUT the aspect of "...you need to go to a world where you exist or have existed to visit it.." is implausible because there were a couple of worlds that nothing seemed to have ever existed.
I would love to see an anthology series where each episode deals with the aftermath of each world effected by Jason's influence. Maybe follow the experiences of different versions of the different other characters. Each episode would stand on its own or can spawn a potentially new mini-series. Finally, maybe even watch an episode or two where we see Jason variants that do NOT come back and how the settle in or such.
Ryan1 offered Jason1 a job in his new venture, which he got investment because off his lavender fairy, that's why when Daniella found Jason 2s amples at the storage locker, and gave Ryan it to test, then he confronted Jason 2 because he thought that he either stole his drug, and that's why he got rid of him.. So both Ryan's 1 &2 from Jason 2s world created the drug at the same time and that's how Jason 2 was able to work the box in the first place!
I think the reason Jason 2 made the box first was because the box was his idea, Jason 1 confirmed that so Although Ryan 1 created the formula, he didn't create the box.
All of the Jason's minus the Jason that didn't escape from Velocity and Amanda was shot in the head! Were split off in the box, and there was over 50 uses.
No, the Jason copies wouldn't be able to follow into Charlie's world, because even though they could exist in that world, to open the door to get to it they'd have to know exactly what he would imagine for a world he'd want to go to and then think that themselves to get the same world. Remember that there are INFINITE possibilities of worls they could end up in with some being super-close to each other in similarity but not quite the same. Daniela and Jason1 must have told Charlie to think of a world that neither of them could possibly think of to mitigate the possibility of the other Jason's replicating his thought process and "guessing" the right world. The other Jasons can only replicate or re-imagine through Jason1's thought process and not Charlie and to get to Charlie's world they'd have to get it exact like his exact thought process or just end up in an adjacent similar and almost identical, but ultimately different and separate world. I would love to know what happens to Jason1's original world with all those copies. Especially now that we have a whole bunch of bodies of Jason copies all over the place that have been killed by other copies and likely been found by other people by this point in time. I don't think even a Season 2 would be able to completely clear up that mess, and the only resolution I can think of is that that world is messed up - Rick and Morty "Cronnenberg World"-style. (For those who get the reference)
I hope we get a season 2 but if they decided to end it here I am happy with how they wrapped up this season. I do not like unanswered questions but the Dessen's got their happy ending. It was sad watching Jason's doubles who stood by Daniella's decision, watch Daniella and Charlie leave them. They achieved their objective of getting home to rescue their family but the gut punch no one saw coming was that themself would be the final barrier stopping them from reuniting with their family. I agree with your theory of different variants of the compound. If there are many, many Ryan's, there must be many, many compounds. Ryan2 was coached by Jason2 to formulate a compound for Jason2's intended application. We see Ryan was formulating his compound for his own application but saw an example of what Ryan2's finished compound could do in the box. Ryan assumed it was the same compound he was working on but had he found his missing link, his compound might have worked differently from Ryan2's compound. Leighton appearing in the end sequence felt like a bit of misdirection after watching the recap at the beginning. We are presented Leighton2 in the recap and I want to say this is Leighton2 we are seeing in the end sequence having seen better days. The only thing is this individual has the hairstyle (and eccentric fashion) of Leighton. Maybe the recap was to reintroduce Dawn2 who looks like she is considering entering the box herself to find Leighton2 (she must have been told Jason2 returned recently) and possibly their other pilots. She might even find a reality with advanced medical technology that could fix her hand. Blair2 might return home and take leadership of Velocity Labs with Leighton2's absence. If this is Leighton then we see he has developed an addiction to the compound as he now has to take the shot between his knuckles but he looks like he is having the time of his life. Also note part of the Roost - Big Black Delta lyrics that was playing when we see Blair2 approach the box in the ending sequence. "I'm coming home..." Will Jason2 also return home? At least Amanda2 is still alive in cold fusion world and we are left with him coming to terms with the damage he has caused but he appears genuinely remorseful. It was great to see Ryan in good health and now he has a compound it looks like he is about to make a play of his own. I wonder if he linked up with his double in that world who helped get him settled? I also like the nod to Lavender Fairy with the lavender coloured cardigan he is wearing as he approaches Amanda2. Interesting clothing colour choices in the venue Amanda2 has her meet up. The red/blue always remind me of Fringe. Great to see Amanda2 enjoying her new life. Hopefully the Dessen's opened the door to an ideal world they can start over on too but what could the meaning be behind the box re-entering superposition as they closed the door behind them? What will become of all Jason's double who stayed behind? Might be time to grab the book but I am hoping we get a season 2 as the show has been well received. It was also great having you (Q-Dads) and the many other RU-vidrs offering a place we could all share our thoughts and theories of the show. Thanks for your content and hopefully we all get to do this again if a second season is approved. Just to add, I watched the closing minutes with audio description on. It advises we are looking at Ryan in both scenes he appears. Leighton3 is identified as one we see enter the box. I imagine this is actually a double of Leighton as his box travels would have also spawned doubles of himself as he travelled through superposition. Hopefully a season 2 will give us more on what became of Leighton2.
It’s not impossible for a Jason to find them, would it be hard yes, but possible. As for Charlie to exist Jason had to exist, if Danielle had opened the door, she could have gone to a world Jason never existed. This would then stop a single Jason from ever being able to get there
We assume he had training. Blair 2 and Amanda spoke about the fact they had training too. Not only that, he was gone for 18 month, lots of time to practise.
It doesn't make sense there are multiple Jason Dessens at the end of the show. Does it mean the few hundred other Jasons are from other universes and they all ended up to this one particular universe? But why are they claiming they are all splitted from the original Jason at some point and why would they share all of his knowledge? If that's the case how did the box created multiple Jasons out of nothing? I thought the story is about multiple parallel universes that exists. I guess its also about photocopying a person.
I kinda hope that was the OG evil leighton and he found other nice worlds and it made him realize how small and pointless trying to find Jason and Amanda was and just lived his life
In a way I hope so too but he will be living with a guilty conscience knowing his past deeds. He has escaped the consequences of his actions for now but maybe his unfortunate routing is his karma for those misdeeds. What it shows is Leighton and Leighton2 (and all other doubles) do have the same core personality (restaurant discussion). Both decided they had their fill of their respective realities and took off.
I know we were all waiting for a jason1 v Jason2 show down but seeing him realize just how damaging his actions were and deciding to help jason1 really got to me. And then seeing the others helped them pass in to the box just destroyed me. I loved the ending but I do really hope there’s a season 2
Indeed. I was speculating that the two would have to team up but that was if he had a solution for the Jason doubles. This team up was great as Jason2 has come to terms with the harm he has caused. The three Jason's he killed you can see he never wanted to do that. It was also the part where he told head scar Jason he thought he would love the life he traded him that makes his situation sadder. Add to this the grief that he realises his actions cost Daniella2 and a Amanda2 their lives also. He was very remorseful and maybe one day he might be reunited to the Amanda2 we have been following. The gut punch was all the doubles who found their way home to get back to the family only to be stopped by themself. No one saw that coming.
So what happens to all the Jason’s that are stuck in the same world. They all have to same name, same history, same DNA, ect ect..if one commits murder do they all get charged with murder 😂
The book ended with the family leaving as well and Charlie opening the door. It never focused on characters other than Jason 1, Amanda, his wife and only briefly on her time with Jason 2. Some friends made brief appearances and were never main characters. They were used to drive the plot. I enjoyed the book a lot but it was not nearly as detailed about all those characters.
I wouldn’t say Jason two turned out to be good. It was more of the fact that he wanted to leave them behind anyway as he mentioned to Therapist Amanda he want’s to leave as everything isn’t how he imagined it would be, so maybe it’s just him leaving and leaving his family with someone to looks after them at least which would be original Jason.
Yeah, they were messing with us a bit on the TV show the book made it very clear that it is our original Jason, who we have followed that gets to the family first
I think regardless of who opens the door, they all must exist or have existed in that world… Hopefully they went to one where they all died but Max survived so they can be a complete family.
I suspect Kankakee was a location Charlie visited in the past. Maybe a school trip and Charlie goes again at a later date with his father. The bar scene and the weapon shop scene are what visually establish that we are looking at the same Jason. As a result they think alike. So once Jason (the one we have been following) scouted the family home and saw Jason2 there, he decided to leave as opposed to entering and confronting Jason2 in front the family. His decision to get weaponry and the conversation in the bar tells us he (and the other doubles) was planning to abduct Jason2, kill him and then dispose of his body at Kankakee. As he had already been to Kankakee once before, Charlie's knowledge of the area gave him the ideal location there where he could commit the deed and dispose of the body.
Ryan is very smart so i assume he mite have figured out who Amanda is. I didnt pick up on the color when Layton injected himself tho...🤔 mite be something there! Overall this was a great season and a great finale. Am looking forward to see what the other travelers of the box will do in next season
I think with Charlie picking the world, it would be less likely for them to find them. All the other Jason's think like Jason, not Daniela or Charlie, so either picking would have worked. They could easily go to a world where they all exist there too, but avoid their counterparts and go live in another state or country. I think that was Ryan2 making more more Lavender Fairy. I don't think they would have actually killed the only person who knows how to make it, they showed Dawn2 (with the missing fingers) right after that in Jason2's world. I think the Ryan we see approaching Amanda2 is Ryan1. Jason 2 dumped him in the same progressive utopia Chicago that she chose, like many theorized. She was there when Ryan 2 was brought in to Velocity for interrogation, so she was pretending she doesn't know who he is, but that was a different Ryan and he never saw/met her before. The injector always lit up green when over a vein, I looked back at earlier episodes. The fact that he's injecting between knuckles says that he's used it so much that he's probably ruined the veins in his arms. It's common among intravenous drug users, or so I've read. So, I'm sure there will be plenty of copies of him around now. Charlie and Max were not adopted, she (& Jason) talked about the ultrasound where they heard two heartbeats and one was abnormal at the end of episode 4 at the tree. She even said he (Max) was born first.
If they had ampoules there is a very slim chance they could find the same world but it would be very difficult as they would have to anticipate Charlie's thoughts. This was demonstrated before as we got to see how Amanda2 and Jason2 are compatible for each other as they both were able to independently access the same reality from the box. One to abandon Ryan and the other to start a new life. Charlie's knowledge of Kankakee and the whereabouts of his friend's family residence show his unique knowledge from his life experiences. There is a chance the family could have unknowingly gone to a world where another Jason/Amanda2 double could be while those two were still trying to get back to Jason's reality. The box re-entering superposition after the family exit could indicate they were being stalked or doubles of the family now exist with a Charlie opening different doors. It should be next to impossible for Jason2 to find them again. The best way to escape would require someone who exists in a world the Dessen's do not exist but this person exists in their world. This means this person would also be a creator of the box/compound or have access to a box/compound in their native reality that was not created by a Jason/Ryan. If this person had a chance encounter with the Dessen family then that person could get them to a reality they never existed in. The family could start over and it would be next to impossible for the box double Jason's to find it unless they somehow got access to person who got the family to that reality. "Your home is a grain of sand on an infinite beach". The problem with box doubles is a double can now exist for each grain of sand on that beach. A ball for every slot on the roulette wheel. While 99% will be off target 1% will land on target.
I suspect Jason2/Leighton2 have already re-sequenced Ryan2's compound based from the first samples Ryan2 gave him. Consider how many box travel kits were hanging in the box hangar before they brought Ryan2 to the lab. There is a chance that they kept Ryan2 alive but there does not seem to be any clear interim leadership direction with Jason2/Blair2/Leighton2 being absent. Dawn2 was also very militant on any negative attention being drawn to Velocity Labs. They might have seen Ryan2 as a loose thread and with him knowing about Daniella2, he would have been scheming against them and also looking for an escape route. I was actually expecting to see Leighton2 in the ending as he appeared in the recap but we ended up with Leighton. Note audio description labels him Leighton3 so I am thinking he is a box double of Leighton or he is the Leighton we have been following and they made a mistake with the audio description seeing we have already seen a Leighton3 in the lab where Amanda3 got killed.
Did ANYONE notice that Daniela( Jennifer C ) character open up the chat room messenger and completely avoid the message that it said “there was two Jason‘s in her house…” And then the next scene showed them having sex😒🤦♀️
Did anyone else have a moment when the camera panned down to them holding hands entering the box and think "hey didn't he get his gold wedding ring back?! , is this not Jason 1?!" But then I guess maybe he just didn't put it back on immediately. Would have been a nice twist at the end.
In the book Jason 1 and Jason 2 fight till the death and Jason 2 dies at the end of the book , why would they change the ending and make it dull and boring
So that there can be a season 2. Ultimately he will have to clean up the mess there, otherwise the government WILL find multiple bodies and multiple Jasons arrested at some point. They'll sweep every abandoned area and find the Box and use it, wreaking more chaos. Jason 2 can't let that happen. He'll go find a world with time travel and go back to episode 1 to stop himself from going into the Box and somehow destroy it. That will paradox cancel out all of the other Jasons from existence in prime world. Then Jason 2 could use the Time machine to go back in time further and choose to have baby with Daniela, but this time he would be able to save Max's life by taking him to the futuristic Chicago where there's tech to fix his heart without a transplant.
Ryan 1 who was dropped by Jason 2 on to a world where Amanda went ... and he developed the new ampule formula n then finds amanda ... how he knows amanda ... thats still confusing ...
Amanda2 knew who Ryan was, she was there when Ryan 2 was brought into Jason1's interrogation. During the escape scene, Jason 1 even asked her about Ryan and she shook her head and said "I'm sorry", indicating he was killed. I thought maybe they didn't kill him and they were now making him make more of Lavender Fairy, because maybe Jason 2 took the last of them... and he's the only one who knows how to make it, so it would be dumb for them to to kill him. They probably just lied to her. So, I think that was Ryan 2 making more of the drug, Dawn 2 (with the missing fingers) was shown in the very next shot. Interesting for Ryan 2 to be the one who is making the new drug, everyone presumed he is dead. Question though, do you think the drug he is making is the same strand or has different abilities?
@@technauseated4208 Amanda2 knows about Ryan2 (through Jason) but she seemed more taken aback with Ryan confidently approaching her which is why she asked the probing question "do you know me?" She was trying to establish if this Ryan (whom she might suspect to be native to that reality) might have known the Amanda who went missing in that reality.
@Q-Dads I think they just lied to her about killing him, Leighton probably suspected something with her. It's possible he's perfecting it, now that he knows what it's actually for. He wasn't even told about the box until they threw him in that room with Jason1. That is all assuming that's the same Ryan.
Indeed. My theory is Ryan might have gone to his double or third party on that world and/or has assumed his doubles identity similar to Amanda2 as they can prove their identity with biometrics. He either surveilled the box and/or his and Amanda2 presence in this reality leaves an unnatural biometric trail that can be picked up on (if you know where to look) making it easy to detect someone native to the reality verses an alien double trying to fit in. Amanda mentioning her native double in that world went missing three years back could be enough to clue Ryan in that this Amanda is not the native Amanda leading to a formal introduction after learning how to perfect his compound. There is also the possibility the compound we see him make might have assisted him in identifying Amanda2.
I really enjoyed the show unfortunately I’m very unhappy with ending… too many times good shows have fairytale endings. I was hoping for something like we were watching the wrong jason prime the whole time or something we all couldn’t comprehend because we’re not supposed to understand the fifth dimension. Idk 🤷🏽♂️ All in all, I guess it was a great show because it’s the first time they tapped into this type of story time, but I just wanted more. If they do do a second season, I hope they explain some more of the science of the box and their understanding of the fifth dimension. Great breakdown 🚛🫡
I agree, the ending could have been a lot better, we needed a clear loss or twist but for me having Jason 2 help in the end seemed like a bit of a cop out.
If they don't explain how copies of Jason 1 manifested in the box, I'm going to be really upset. And I REALLY hope they don't do anything like Oblivion, Avengers, I Robot, The Matrix, and so many other movies did; where if you destroy the original, then all the other versions automatically are destroyed.
Here is the issue at hand with the other Jasons, they all experienced some sort of Jason #2 that took their family, so can they all potentially get Ampoules made, and try to find their way back to their home where THEIR Jason #2 took their family? OR is the BOX creating additional JASONs, that JASON #1 thought of? Which means they dont have a home world to go back to? My understanding, is that for EVERY JASON there is a world, right now they made the confusion that all these extra jasons, didnt come from a world, BUT came from the BOX ONLY! Because they are copies with NO HOME! Which contradicts the multiverse theory that for every choice in a world, there is another you making different choice etc.. So technically if we follow that logic, all of those Jasons, need to MARK eachother with a #, and try to get back to their homes.
Ben: I think the mulitverse theory works and each infinite number of Jasons have been lost in an infinite number of worlds. Similar to that final scene, I imagine that would have also been happening in a variety of other worlds too -- but yes, I am surpirsed we didn't see some kind of cataloging system. The thought of all Jasoms having no home baffles me and I'm sure Ste would disagree 😂
I don't think it contradicts the multiverse theory. All these Jasons that were created, were kidnapped by the same Jason 2 and came from the same world. In order for additional worlds to be created, it must be altered in some way (choices/observation). Since the box is Schrodinger's box, it allows each Jason that takes a different path a way to make it back to the same home world.
You are assuming that there is only one Jason 1 world by the time he comes back. Tv series explain that new worlds are created when people make decisions/choices. When Jason 1 is forced out of his world there are billions of people left in it, making decisions, meaning there should be an infinite amount of Jason 1 worlds to come back to. It doesn't make sense that all versions of Jason 1 would come back to the same one

Maybe there's a world where the wife and kid died in the car accident, or a world where our Jason didn't meet the wife at the police station so another Jason won the family instead. Just a matter of perspective. As for the matter of many Jasons finding the same world, maybe it is a rule of the box where their limited comprehension only allows them to meet in the same world.
Jason prime made all those other Jasons IN THE BOX. So they weren’t created until after Jason prime was taken. This means they all remember that specific Jason 2 kidnaped them.
