Shame I didn't see this before buying mine. Awful thing. It goes flat by itself in a couple of weeks and is always refusing to put out AC power. Live and learn.
What the guy didn't tell you is that this invertor ups steals power from your battery, even though it's still connected to the grid. I haven't had solar for a week due to cloudy week. And this inverter drained my battery to death.
I’ve got this panel and recently managed 92w on a September day in the uk, I have it paired with the ALLPOWERS r600 but I’d like their more powerful power station
This is a very complex situation with earthing and inverters some inverters using isolated terra earthing of arrangement this means that the Earth does nothing you may be required to devolve your own Earth from the neutral that is really important to look at this properly as you think essentially be pointless. You may also have some reference this earth to the actual earth or not. Please thoroughly research this and get a professional because it’s not a simple answer also consume units are switch gear and should really be metallic in construction and design now also any consumer unit that is installed has to be notified to build a control and you really have to be qualified to do that otherwise things like insurance can be invalid
u confusing Amp with Amp-Hour, u said 1 more Amp than 1 year ago, u shd have said 1 more Ah... (so that VIEWERS be AWARE of A and Ah 2 diff thngs, just with similar names)
Is no longer advisable within the regulations to use a main RCD board for a consumer unit. It’s much preferred now to use one that has a main switch and RCBOs as there is selectivity so only the circuit was a fault is disconnected
Hi, Do you have any current sellers that sell to the UK? Have recently bought a van and I'd like to have a go at a smaller battery like this before I decide between building, a leisure battery or a power station. Thanks bud, very interesting channel. Subscribed.
I just purchased this folding panel and its quite a bit heavier that I expected but its built solid and has a good stand. Once it's set up it's easy to re-position. Built very well and should last a long time. I''m getting good output from it as well.
I have 3 SOK batteries, when I click on ( search ) in the app all 3 of my batteries show up and then I have to click on which one I want to monitor. I seen a guy with a different brand battery sun fun products be able to view all 3 of his batteries at the same time. Doesn't look like SOK allows to do that
So how do you monitor the batteries using the Bluetooth (SOK-BMS app ) when you have 2 batteries wired in parallel? Does the app show both batteries info at the same time or does it show it like it's one big 400ah battery? Or does it only let you look at one batteries info and then you have to click on the 2nd batteries info to see it ?
hello wonder what is the range of cell high/low protection on these ?.. mean to say wonder can these be setup for li-ion as they have slightly different voltages ? TIA
I have this battery paired with Renogy 20A MPPT. I'm very confused about whether it is even charging. Arrived today. Measured in isoltation, the battery shows 0.4V. But shows 14.4V when being charged. I'm not really sure how to test. I read somewhere that it arrives at 30% SOC. The app also can't find the bluetooth module, so far not going well!
Would have been great to see the UPS function tested with an actual sensitive device such as a computer. Each to their own but I'd rather my tv turn off unexpected rather than my computer considering the risk of data loss and corruption. Thanks for sharing
You should be running a UPS backup to start with. As these condition the voltage to remain stable when switching to backup power outage..Why I have 1500 APC backup plugged into these types of inverters for Computer, Monitors, TV..
@@MasterChief4U I'm well aware of the specifications of a UPS however the content in question can mislead viewers into believing that an inverter will provide the same functionality as a UPS. Good on you for having a UPS but most people would not realise that a UPS is approximately 30 milliseconds quicker than an inverter when switching between AC and DC. Cheers
@@cyclemoto8744 You're not switching from AC-DC.. It's always AC even if the Utilities goes out without an inverter. The real issue is Bonding and Grounding. Use the wrong inverter. It doesn't matter. As grounding the unit to the Chassis is still a floating ground. Which is what ruins Computers and electronic devices..You need a real inverter\transfer switch that changes to bonding when the power is switched from Shore to Battery as the source. Why I suggest people always install a GFCI breaker.
Hello Chris. ive got a renogy 200w folding solar panel, a eco-worthy 12v lithium 100ah battery and a 42w cooler box. please could you tell me how to work out how long a fully charged battert would power the cooler box for please. im trying to work out if the solar panels will keep the battery topped up for 3 days. thank you very much
Nice video, just got this model for my van. I notice that you have 2 positive leads going out, one to each battery; is this for a more efficient current draw? I have 2 batteries in parallel also, but was just going to do a single positive.
The Renogy Inverters ship with 2x Parallel cables for Positive and Negative. So that you can bend these around a little easier..On the up side. Parallel cables are more efficient in voltage loses. As it gives the current more surface area to use. As current flows on the surface of the wire. Called the skin effect.
Great review! I have searched everywhere but simply cannot find the rated current for the pass through circuit when on hookup/shorepower. I have a 1000w UPS Inverter but when on hookup, I want to be able to power devices far above 1000w. As this is simply an internal bypass relay I would assume this is no problem but again I cannot find any information on this. Appreciate any info at all on this. Thanks again!
Renogy can not sell a remote for this unit. Be aware, get the remote with this unit or you will have to look for an after market. This is something that Renogy doesn’t suggest but that’s about all you can do.
