This is funny as fuck. He just wins neutral over and over again by playing reactively and his opponents can’t adapt then Borp obliterates you with his good punish game.
melee is just so damn defensive and rewards the wrong style of play. Its a shame because the game has the SICKEST MOVEMENT of all time, but it is used in the most degenerate ways imaginable, defeating the purpose. I played unranked one time on april fools and a samus got a small lead and proceeded to ledge upB camp center stage on corneria lol I'm like bruh really? Every nerd you fight tries to gain a lead and just NOT INTERACT AT ALL. But here's the whole thing about this degenerate bs that drives me up a wall. There's like, a CHAIN of bad mechanics that require one another to make the game run in the first place. What do I mean by this? Let's run an example! The ledge crap I just mentioned. Ledgestalls are a pivotal part of being good because they prevent you from dying to respawn invincibility. Respawn invincibility is absolute horse shit because I've played other fighting games and lemme tell you, NONE OF THEM punish you for getting a kill! Why THE FUQ do I have to be on the defensive after taking a stock? Its a momentum killer. Either reset to neutral or let the player keep their momentum like in MVC2. This bad mechanic then encourages ledgestalls so ppl don't immediately explode after getting a kill, but oh wait, now ledgestalling brings it's OWN HEAP OF ISSUES and ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the broken game of melee. This game... CAN be sick as hell, but god jesus lord the mechanics are just not well thought out. I mean, it WAS rushed, so why should any of us be frikkin surprised...

Roy’s reverse up B on jigglypuff only kills on fd without platforms, the battlefield match with the puff he tried it without platforms which is why it didn’t kill, he did get the right hit box
