It was a good movie. Will have to see it a second time to determine HOW good, but it definitely wasn't as good as Fury Road. I'd say it came across as more of a badass version of Beyond Thunderdome - some great sequences but too bogged down with plot. The run time was too long as well - could have easily lost 10 minutes and been a better film for it. The movie it most reminded me of was The Good, the Bad & the Ugly.
ngl though, that Dave Frees bar against Kendrick doesnt even make sense as an attack since it just makes KDot legit look like a better man for stepping up and taking responsibility of a kid who may not be his own blood but one he loves as his own all the same meanwhile Drake keeps denying children of having a father and leaving their baby mammas in the dirt like a coward
Great analysis. It's wild but despite how amazing this film is and how hugely successful Fury road was, this film bombed in its opening weekend taking only 30million at the box office. Damn shame. Hopefully all the positive buzz from everyone who's already seen it gives rise to a late surge in earnings or it might be the end of the Mad Max franchise.
