After a two year break from RU-vid, join me to see how I run my surf & wellness retreat Marnie Rays, how I live my life and how I get dressed, I guess? Enjoy and thanks for being here!
Morning Lindsay, can you tell me where your sunglasses are from please. Not the glasses that you,ve put a link to, but the sunnies you wore in the first part of the Vlog. Enjoyed this vlog as always. Xxx
First time I have seen your channel, but anything regarding Cornwall and I am there - absolutely love it, but more so down south for me - your hotel looks absolutely amazing Also by coincidence we share the same 1st name, spelt the same way too (don’t normally meet anyone with the same spelling as mine) and you have my great grandmothers surname - would love to know the origins as I have no idea expect that some of her family were French
Welcome!! So lovely to have you here. Honestly, I fell in LOVE!!! I would also love to know my origins, I always think I must do the ancestry tracking! xxx
A move to Cornwall would be a really good idea! You look so happy there and you could still go to London and up north when you want to for work, events and family time! Also that first hotel is absolutely beautiful. X
How could you not show the damage to the car? haha So good to see you in your element, it's been inspiring to watch you find this passion and fully embrace it. Cornwall's beautiful.
I've also been struggling with lower back pain lately (due to stress and work). What really helped me besides movement, massage therapy, etc. also simply was to simply fucking slow down. Prioritising more gentle movement, sleep and most importantly rest ! Here's the little reminder to normalise and celebrate slowing down and resting again ❤
Oh Lindsey. I'm not a founder, but a head of department and I totally related to what you said about doing everything, but nothing well. Some moments feel so overwhelming and imposter syndrome hits but we got where we are because we CAN do it. Be gentle with yourself. ❤🩹
I think there is absolutely some extrovert in me, but as I get older I need more alone time to recharge. I LOVE hosting the retreats but I just need to follow them with silence hahaha xx
If you have a tough time with The Power of Now, you might get a kick out of Dan Harris’ book called 10% Happier. It got me interested in meditation and a pleasure to read
Great video Lindsey - I work with people who have migraines and IBS and different , what we call chronic issues going on. My background was in neuroscience but after a serious health period of over 4 years I moved into Mind Body work. Where now I have resolved my own health issues and that for many people xx
Oh let us know if you come across anything worth a visit in Cornwall. I'm going in August and looking forward to visiting concrete waves in Newquay for some surfskating and the Eden project is also meant to be amazing xxx
Cornwall is my fav place in the uk! There’s a cool Tate gallery in St Ives, but watch out for the seagulls when you’re eating outside round St Ives, they’re honestly hooligans. If you can get to St Michaels Mount and the Marazion area, it’s gorgeous around there
Lovely summery Vlog ☀️ Would love to know more about how you plan your weight training in the gym? seems scary so I’ve only ever relied on those OTT pump classes
You can be so proud of all the work, efforts and energy you‘re putting into Marnie Rays. You can def tell that you‘re putting your heart and soul into all you‘re doing ❤ Had to leave this here for once !
Thank you for sharing your Marnie adventures Lindsey ❤ would LOVE to come to a retreat one day but I'm a skint yoga teacher at the moment 😅...working on that. Looks like you have created something so special. And I've been loving all the behind the scenes Marnies content on insta ❤
Lindsey I just love higgeldy piggeldy 😂your vlogs make me feel like I’m on holiday I have a place in St Ives Cornwall so may get to one of your Marnie Rays at some point because I have a phobia of flying so couldn’t do the ones abroad You looked gorgeous in the jeans but the no button thing going on just had me in stitchrs😂 xxx
There are stretches you can do periodically throughout the day, then just before bedtime that will help your pain. It's the back leg stretch, then push the back leg over to the side, and you'll feel the stretch further around that area, stretching the muscle fibres that irritate the nerve. So your hands are on, say, a countertop, back leg being stretched out around the calf, etc, then back leg crossed over to feel the stretch more. I struggle with chronic pain, and I get nerve pain from muscle spasms.❤❤❤❤
How beautiful, looks wonderful. Love the wee gifts on the bed waiting to be used by guests (lucky them) ❤ Actually, can I jump into your life with you.....just for a day 😅❤❤❤❤
