Hello! Welcome to my channel. I'm Darren and I'm here to share projects that I'm working on. I also hope to inspire and pass along information to other DIYers like me.
Saw the plates....only in my State does common sense and a little creativity create this. Nothing anyone can suggest will come in cheaper AND function better for it's purpose.
I just found your video and it's close to what I need. I have a 2014 Taurus Limited & I'm just going to replace the armrest lid of the console and It looks like I need to remove the air vents covers at the back of the console to get to the hinge for the armrest. The part I'm buying comes with the hinge. Hoping you could direct me where to start to get access to remove the air vents covers to get to the hinge for the old armrest and then put the new one in place. Thanks in advance, DJ
Love your setup I'm doing the same thing for my 01chev 2500hd I have a 350 small block chev engine planning to use hiniker plow frame so I can use my plow blade when I don't need the blower not going to be ready this season my question is what electric solenoid did you use to run the blower thank you. Glenn
This is a project that I built myself. The components came from various sources. I’m not sure where you could find something similar in Alaska but I’m sure it would be useful.
Nice setup my friend! I want to do this with my truck. I have a PTO port on my transmission and I can buy a pto pump for it. I wanted to ask how powerful of a pump do you have? I can go as much as 300ftb of torque. Is that enough?
Thank you. The engine I have is rated for 220-260 lb-ft. So if you end up with a setup similar to mine I would think you will be okay. You need to make sure whatever pump you use can flow enough fluid for your hydraulic motor.
Physically quicker probably but plowing may not be faster for the entire job. You have to go back over a lot of places with a plow because of snow that’s spilled off the clean edge. This this is one pass and done but it is slower. So maybe it’s a wash. Neat machine though.
@DarrenReid Are you willing to share hydro specs and or model numbers? I know from working in the Agronomy field hydraulic power gets eaten up fast. I'm trying to decide between engine drive and hydro drive. I'm looking at going 92"+ on width and was chain/pto drive, until seeing your video. Thanks
I was able to find this website. Hopefully that helps with what you are looking for. www.carid.com/2017-ford-taurus-oem-interior-parts/ford-oe-center-console-2460634992.html?view=545259
Hello Darren how are you doing? I have a question, I have a ford taurus 2015 base I want to move the gear nob from the console to the steering wheel just like the police edition, can you make a video describing how to do it if you know how I promise you i’ll share it in every taurus group I know 🤣👍🏻 thanks in advance, wish you a good day 🌹
Hello. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with how to do that. I have a feeling it would require quite a bit of modification. I wish I could be of more help. Thanks for checking.
A veritable masterpiece! A marvel of American ingenuity that would be a welcome sight her in Montreal. Spring is here now, but this warms my heart more.
Quick Question: My car Taurus 2015 Police interceptor. Can i fit any used console from SHO, SE, SEL or limited trims? By the way keep up the good work. Thanks
Awesome set up man, really great work. Question about wiring up your switches, was it a hassle like it seems or pretty straight forward? I dont have great wiring knowledge so I was debating if it would be worth it to take it to a professional to get it all wired.up If I could I'd hire you lol
Thank you. The wiring on the switches is pretty straight forward but that depends on your knowledge and comfort level. Using switches that don’t light up will make it an easier task.
Very helpful, especially the information about what you get when ordering from Crutchfield. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. Putting my order in now.
This is the style lift kit that I used. Mine was from a different seller. www.ebay.com/itm/3-Full-Lift-Kit-For-1997-2004-Dodge-Dakota-4X4-Torsion-Keys-w-Blocks-U-bolts-/122940474231?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
