Im going back to tokyo to do this itinerary again this year so i'll follow every spot lol some of this places i already went to but i go with some friends this time i will take them, I dont get tired of Tokyo
I went to shimokitazawa but could not see the sign with the name SHIMOKITAZAWA, have the sign been remove? google told I was right there but the sign wasnt, there were 2 columns like it was there but not the sign :(
Thanks for the kind feedback! I always like to mix a nice balance between decent food spots, and plenty of different places and areas to explore in one day!
This is a great video, thanks a lot for that Alex ! There are so many good suggestions, from very famous to less famous, for all tastes and ages. Two places that I really like in Tokyo, and that you havent mentionned, is beautiful Hama-Rikyu Garden near Tsukiji, and Yanaka off Ueno Park. And yes, they are touristy, but I think that if you are in Tokyo for the first time, you should include Omoide Yokocho, Golden Gai and Kabuchiko in Shinjuku. And if you like Korean BBQ, go for dinner in Shin-Okubo.
Thank you for the kind words! I really do try and make a well balanced itinerary for everyone to enjoy! As for the two additional places, I will definitely keep those in mind and consider putting them on future itinerary videos!
Go Karting is okay, but is pretty pricey and little gimmicky. I did it once with friends and didn't find it that memorable of an experience. Not to take away from any excitement about the go karting, but just my thoughts on it!
Mind blowing itinerary Alex and Matilda, you've covered every moment of the day especially the food aspect always has me stumped, I would like to do this exactly 💯😀
Best Tokyo video for short trips so far that I've seen! Well done & thank you so much! This video has really helped me plan out my 5 night trip to Tokyo next month!
Thanks, very helpful as some folks like myself feels the urge to do it all. Would love a summer edition being that it's muggy so thinking indoor recommendations with family would be another great video.
Nice itinerary, just trying to wrap my head around 8am being early. Breakfast is like 5-6am for me. Means for my trips I like shinjuku bc of the 24 HR places. 5am Coco curry breakfast was my norm.
Honestly, I think there are some things that are reasonable to charge tourists for. Folks are coming in record numbers. It takes a toll on infrastructure, crops, travel, etc. I see nothing wrong with instituting some separate pricing for tourists, but at a restaurant it seems weird to do it this way. They could give residents a discount instead so there is only one menu price for everyone.
Do I have to pick up Shinkasen tickets booked in advance on ekinet at the Station Ticket Office to go to Sendai from Tokyo. If so , can I get them at Shinjuku Station where I will be starting from? Thank you.
great video :) thank you. I was in Japan last year on business trip where our host from Japan have bought tickets for us. Every time he booked Green Car for us but without luggage reservation. We had oversized luggage with us in the space between seats. Cars were pretty empty so I guess it was not needed to reserve dedicated seats. Now, I'm travelling with the family and we will take a train to Kyoto (Nozomi). Do I need to reserve oversized seats for green cars?
It's stupid to charge tourists a different price given the issue is cost of living and a weak yen, not because of tourism which is actually helping in propping up the economy. If shops want to charge extra, charge everyone the same! It's silly tbh. Anyways thanks for your amazing work as always Alex!!
