Your Excel skills are top-notch. Tell me, how can I update the matches on the excel on a regularly basis without interfering with the data in the table?
Hi mate, thanks for watching 👍 In the Fixtures Data worksheet, the games that have already been played are sorted into Winner and Loser. For the games that haven't been sorted yet, they're sorted into Away and Home. Because the table I built in the dashboard is only interested in games that haven't already been played, it ignores the instances where the winning team is sorted into the Away column. I hope that helps lad.
Hello, lad! Yes, all the models are able to be downloaded, including this one, by becoming a member of the Excel LADZ Patreon here: www.patreon.com/ExcelLADZ The data in these models are connected to the internet via a Power Query, so the data updates automatically once selecting the "Refresh All" icon in the 'Data' tab. I hope to see you in there, lad 😃
Thanks for watching mate 🔥 Yes, it is. In the LET function, I calculate the x_touchdowns for each team by adding three separate stats: expected passing touchdowns, expected rushing touchdowns and expected 'other' touchdowns. For example, this is the formula for the expected passing touchdowns for the home team within the LET function: XLOOKUP(D3,'Team Ratings'!$A$2:$A$33,'Team Ratings'!$N$2:$N$33)*XLOOKUP(D1,'Team Ratings'!$A$2:$A$33,'Team Ratings'!$O$2:$O$33)*'Team Ratings'!$N$35
@@excel_ladz man I'm trying to get the formula right for passing yards for each team. I added Passing YDS ATT and Pass Yds DEF just like the other stats but I'm not able to get a final number for predicted passing yards. Would like to do the same for rushing!!! it might be a great idea for another video with this model. Passing and rushing yds for each team. Possibly run simulation on those stats as well. BTW this model is bad A$$. I have built a few myself for different sports with different function/formulas and this is hands down the best one I've seen on youtube.
Good table. I am experiencing an issue with the league Table. The number of games played woks fine. But the number of win says N/A. I ttried averthing. but to no avail. Can someone help me sort it out?
Hello, lad! I can't guarantee that the model has a has long term ROI, as I haven't backtested the model using historical odds. It's definitely possible to build the model in Excel 2010 and 2016, as I've done it! It just involves changing all the XLOOKUP functions to VLOOKUP, as well as creating a new worksheet to do all the commands I've put in the LET function. I hope that helps lad 👍
@@excel_ladz How and Why should I hope to buy your model and use it for Business profitable purposes and make it as investment as I am not a math wise? Let me know what you can help.
Thanks lads! I would like to ask why should I buy your models if I am not a math wise and I want to make betting investment as value bet strategy using your model?
Good video. But i think it was nice to have a video explaining from zero. like to get the live data and updated. Because some times the power query gives erros and it is difficult to mantain the live data working specially if there are a lot of tables..
Thanks for watching mate, I appreciate the support. I get your point, unfortunately I just can’t add it in to videos like this. Setting up a power query is a different process for different versions of Excel as well as different computers. I build the models on a MacBook, so for most people the way I build it is pretty much useless. And of course, I want the first 10 minutes of the video to be as engaging as possible. I hope you understand lad. There’s a video on my channel about creating a Power Query using a MacBook, I suggest giving that a watch and seeing if that helps 😉
Thanks for watching lads 🙏 Yeah that’s a good idea. I can’t say I haven’t thought about that before, but I’ve obviously not done it yet. Perhaps I give it a try and see how it goes, what’s the worst that can happen? Thanks again guys 👍
Yes, it's quite large... but it makes the model way more efficient lad 🔥 There is a way to plot all the values defined in the LET function out in a new worksheet and formulate the simulated regular time & expected points values. It would just take longer and be slower 🤷 Thanks for watching lad.

I just want to say you are a fking lad for these videos ! I am doing a university assignment for Data Analytics and we have use Monte Carlo, whatif analysis (E.g. goal seek, solver), breakeven analysis, hypothesis testing or regression and other statistical topics such as median/mean to tell a story about something. I want to use monte carlo to predict the probability of a team winning when their best team is performing below. HAVE YOU GOT ANY ADVICE FOR ME or which videos of yours's I can watch that will help me ? We have not learnt Poisson Distribution or anything mentioned outside of the above topics. How Would you tell a story about how we can use data analytics to predict outcomes on sportsbet ?
try starting from the fact that 1 door is always eliminated from the beginning as if you couldn't possibly choose the door with goat that gets revealed. it's just 50/50 dude.
Having some trouble with the function for players in player working, rows are a lil different cause im using 2023/2024 data (teams are column D) but this is what I have written down: =IFERROR(INDEX('raw player stats'!$B$3:$B$1002,SMALL(IF('raw player stats'!$D$3:$D$1002=XLOOKUP(Results!$E$2,Teams,teams_id),ROW('raw player stats'!$D$3:$D$1002)-ROW('raw player stats'!$D$3)+1),ROWS('raw player stats'!$D$3:D6))),"") Thanks!!!
Starting an in house Darts and Pool league using this spreadsheet. Thank you so much. I enjoyed the process of setting it up and learnt some things I never knew along the way!
is there anywhere i can download this fixture and league table please sir ? ive started a competiotion and the league table im using hasnt worked. its giving me anightmare ???
@excel_ladz Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it. £20 is a bit steep for one spreadsheet, but thanks anyway brother. I'll check your video out properly and hopefully get myself somewhere near. Thanks again
@excel_ladz sorry mate, is there any way I can check this file will work for what I want before I pay for it ??? I'm really struggling to get it done. I need this sheet for my competiton, and I'm happy to pay £20 as long as it works 💪?
Hi there, if I wanted to add another criteria for "knockdowns/15 minutes", could you help me modify the formula on the 'Final' worksheet calculating the % chance of winning (starts with EXP('Fight Data'!A2+(D17-I117)*? Thanks
This has been such a huge help!! Thank you! Adapted it for a darts league. Having one little issue... On league table, Ive followed the goals for but is coming up with a #VALUE! error. I can't see a reason for this. In my 'away_score' column I do have a formula (just for ease as the score is always out of 11). Could it be this causing the problem? It doesn't seem to be affecting other columns in table. Any ideas please?
Doing research currently but do you know if it's possible to automate ESPN daily stats updates into an excel file? I go through every morning and out of the 50 or so batters, update their last 7 hit/hr stats, august hit/hr stats, if they got a hit last game and total games they got a hit out of games played that month. About a tedious hour thing everyday just seeing if you had any insight, thanks!
Is there a way to calculate the runs per inning that are simulated? I’d like to be able to see what % each each has for whether a run was scored or not
Let's assume 3 cards J,Q,K , who choose the card K is the winner, let us say I choose card 1 host open the card 3 which has Q. Okay now the probability between J and K, 50/50🎉 either in card 1 or 2
1/3 of the time you pick the correct one the first round. The only way to win when staying is if you were correct in the first round. That means you only win 1/3 of the time when staying. You pick the wrong one 2/3 of the time in the first round. You always win if you switch when your original pick was wrong. Which means you win 2/3 of the times when switching. You could think of it as choosing between the 1 you picked or both of the other. He just opens one of them before you've answered.
Hallo, can you create multiple leaderboards for goals scorers? For example leaderboard with Season 1 with the goals scorers, leaderboard with Season 2 with the goals scorers,..etc. And One leaderboard with the all time goalscorers. To make it that the leaderboard with the all time goalscorers it is updated automatically when seasons leaderboards get new goals.
