PREDICT NBA Games on Excel | Adjusting Player Minutes 

Hi lad, that’s a tricky one. The model recognises the five players who have the most xMP as actually starting and playing all of their xMP, the rest of the players share the remaining MP. However, those sorted into the five positions just have the most xMP for their position. You could present the data differently by removing the positions, and just presenting the top five players according to xMP as starting in the first five rows. The model only uses a player’s xMP as an input, so it doesn’t matter if they’re starting or not. You can always adjust a player’s xMP manually 👍

I just rewatched the video lad... Unfortunately, there was an error when I typed in the formula under the 'Player' header in the 'Player Working' worksheet. The formula is all right, until the last ROWS part of the formula. This should actually look like: 'Raw Player Stats'$E$3:E3))) Rather than: 'Raw Player Stats'$E$3:E4))) That is why the first player in every team is missing, because in the video I mistakenly put E4 instead of E3. However, in this video there is no such error in this video as in the last video titled 'PREDICT NBA Games on Excel | Account for Player Trades' I change the range to 'Raw Player Stats'$AF$3:AF3 to grab unique players. So sorry for the confusion lad, I hope I haven't caused too much trouble 👍 Let me know if this fixes this problem 💪

That's a great idea lad 🔥 Unfortunately, everybody is in the same boat with this "Game Time Decision". To account for this, you really just have to know a player's history, e.g. if they're listed under "Game Time Decision" do they normally play or not? While it's very general, if you think a player has a 50% chance of playing, then maybe you could multiply their xMP by 0.50...
