Great vid. I have no flange, European style windows. They sit flush with the sheathing. You got any pointers on how to finish off the edge of the Hardie panel before I install the window trim?
When my headboard rythmaticly bangs that wall in the middle of the night, you can trust me. They will hear it in the next room. They will be hearing it all over the house.
I by can’t you have a birds mouth? Should still have one. If you can’t have an overhang, at the end of the seat cut, mark that line plumb up and cut it off. No tail.
@@MattBangsWood well I’m not really sure something about a pivot point at the top plate? All walls are 8ft high, only one section is vaulted 2:12 pitch. I was told the 2x6 at a 10ft span would just sit ontop of a “second wall” built atop the level of the standard height walls? This is technically just ceiling framing as the structure is supported by steel. No weight of roof on the lumber?
Matt, I watched you for years. You’re an amazing person the world needs more men like you. Thank you for all you’ve taught me. This video just like the rest of them are all amazing and full of information.

No money in it unless you’re overly efficient with massive crews that don’t have problems.. Multi family in the area pays $12-14/ft. Custom pays $25-40/ft. I can build 3,000SF custom for $99,000 in labor.. or 8,000SF multi family for $99,000.
@@MattBangsWood I was the PM for a general contractor on a 400 unit / 450k sqft apartment complex. The framer’s contract alone was $10mill You have got to get into that.
It’s not for everyone - I’d thank yourself for the discipline and self control in your beliefs! I enjoy art, it’s all over my office, my film studio, etc. It’s a big part of who I am. Judging is a bad look though, you’re on an educational video where I helped what is now hundreds of thousands of people for free.. Have a good one!
