I just got into Woods a few days ago. Hiding Places was my entry point and I haven’t really left it yet, to understand more of the album. So thanks for putting me onto other songs. I’m pretty stoked to go down this rabbit hole with Woods, and Armand Hammer. Last time I did this was a decade ago with Aesop Rock, and he’s now one of my favorites of all time. Hiding Places is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums ever.
I think you should watch the breakdown of 616 by what's the dirt because it also explains a lot but you also should know at the end he mentions MJ because you are not alone a song written by R Kelly and ask yourself what Mike would do he would look at the man in the mirror Drake was his own snitch throughout the whole battle it had nothing to do with this always referring to him being Michael Jackson and Kendrick being Prince he's telling him you're disrespectful to Michael and his legacy no matter how much Michael and Prince fought against each other they had respect for their music because their music and their work and it meant something to us he doesn't care about any of it even is going against the Michael Jackson family he's just disrespectful MSY and 616 he's asking God for forgiveness because now Kendrick has to go and take down this person and he has to go against everything that he believes in but it's needed
2nd Trilogy Theory 💡 If we take Kiss Land (tears in the rain leading into) Beauty Behind the Madness (begins with Real Life and ends with Angel leading into ) My Dear Melancholy (which begins with Call Out My Name) Is that not a 2nd Trilogy story-wise? 🤔 He said Starboy had no story and was a collection of random hits. Note: I'm only skipping Starboy because i think Abel said in an interview Starboy as an album wasn't a story but a compilation of hit songs, i think. Not directly quoting him. I think he said that. I am from india, i have heard of kendrick lamar here and there, how he got a pulitzer, winning grammys. But since the whole rap beef situation, i delved into his discography. All of it is so profound. Even though i am not from the culture, the way he talks about his struggles, his childhood, his family ties, it just hits you right in your soul.

Kanye's influence, Lupe's influence, had inspired lots of young artists. This is some backpatting trash thats more offensive than pedestrian Drizzy defence. You hold onto a Drake that never existed, one you imagine respected woman - his tragic bitching reflected a man who viewed them as nothing more than objects to soothe his insecurities. His ego driven obsession with the likes of Rihanna. That was reflected in his output from day 1. Kanye opened up another lane in hiphop. Not Drake.
Him being different black celebrities are all people that wanted to give back out of love but eventually made a mistake and everyone got amnesia for what they've done thats why he says look what ive done for you i want the hood to want me back

I loved your Mac Miller video, but I have to say that this one is so out of touch. You lost me with, "I don't understand how Kendrick could stoop so low..." Have you even listened to the Control verse? It sounds like you just entered the chat, my man. I can't believe people aren't flaming you in the comments as much as they should be. Please take the time to research fully before you dip into this--it's way, way deep. I don't know everything about the beef myself, but to say that Kendrick is adverse to beef or that Drake hasn't ever gotten his hands dirty (Pusha T, Meek)--you lost me within the first five mins.
Hi. There were a few times that I wanted to tell you that you were analyzing the details too much, but that's a fault of my character, not yours. I'm grateful that I listened to your entire video bcuz you know a lot about him and I learn more when I stfu. I was very impressed with the fact that you're studying theology or something similar and either that includes Buddhism or someone taught you about the truths. Life is Samsara and when you also have the disease of addiction, you rarely find a release from that suffering bcuz you've already found, been using, and are a slave to another circle or problem. When your mind creates the pain/release or pleasure/ reward circuit, the habit makes it almost impossible to even see new routes. He didn't want to stop using even though it didn't bring him relief anymore but he did want something better, but he'd never known anything really without some distraction. Sorry for the long msg, but he got everything he wanted, and he never had to grow old. Sounds fckin great to me. I talk to him sometimes, but I'd bet he decided to be reincarnated and has been back for more years than ppl think. Idk, great review, bruva. W/♡,G
Honestly Count Me Out is honestly one of the best songs Kendrick has made in my opinion, it is very deep, personal, raw and also a vibe, something you kan dance to and comforting. It may not be his best song egen has ever made but honestly it is upp there for me, its just Not Like the a lot of other songs he has but still similar to the whole MMATBS album, i love this album and while it maj not be my personal favorite (GKMC) it is my second favorite honestly
It was a final conclusion on him soul searching and reality checking himself for getting off track of his moral purpose. Something anyone can go through & that’s what’s so relatable.
