RIP MF DOOM - Madvillainy album reaction! I've wanted to hear this album for a long time now. The full Madvillainy record has been critically acclaimed since it's release and is considered to be a classic among the hip hop community. With Mad Lib producing the record as well as DOOM covering the raps it is bound to impress. Did I enjoy this album as much as I had hoped? Find out in this 20 minute long reaction. I must mention once again, my condolences to DOOM's fans as well as his friends/family. It hurts my heart to see anyone die at such a young age, and it seems he was a truly good man. I gained a lot of respect for him hearing this record, and hope to appreciate more of his work in the future. Dumile Forever

On Fancy Clown DOOM is rapping under one of his aliases Viktor which he raps as on the album Vaudville villain. the girl hes rapping about on the track has cheated on him with MF DOOM.

Only two songs on MM... FOOD that weren’t produced by MF DOOM were Hoe Cakes (His late brother that MF DOOM has joined in the afterlife, Sub Roc) and One Beer (Madlib), but they’re still crazy asf

So cool of you to do a reaction to this RIP VILLAIN. His music means a lot to me because I listened to DOOM a lot growing up I remember seeing him on space ghost as a kid in the 90s

- Quasimoto is Madlib's weed smoking, brick holding, space alien alter ego (it's Madlib rapping with a voicebox) - The guest artists are mostly artists that are involved with Madlib somehow..... - Wildchild is in the Lootpack (which is Madlib, Wildchild and DJ Romes - Quasimoto. IS Madlib's alter ego and has two albums of his own - M.E.D aka Medaphor, is another artist that Madlib produces for

Thank you man. This man was and will be a big part of my life and his death is hard. Its really great seeing his work brand new to people and know his legacy immortalized. I suggest monkey suite next another madlib produced song one of my favs. Of course most people would suggest MM FOOD its his self produced album and a good next step as well as Operation DOOMSDAY. Personally I found him from adult swim DANGERDOOM album.. 8th grade and I remember hearing ATHF on a commercial and it was over after that lol. Quasimoto is an alias of Madlib the producer. It's a high pitch version of Madlib rapping, he usually takes shrooms when he records as Quas. I recommend the album The Unseen by Quasimoto. The rapping style is wacky and the production is unique.

Thanks for your suggestion and heads up Saman. I'm looking forward to hearing more of Madlibs work, I just listened back to those Quasimoto tracks and I should have realized it was him! It really makes the album more deep knowing that it was truly a 50/50 effort between Madlib and DOOM.

@@JacksonsMusicPalate No problem. I also recommend madlibs and DOOMs red bull lectures. They talk more about the process. Also the Fancy clown song is by Viktor Vaughan a DOOM allies. In the song Viktor is talking to his women about how she cheated on him with DOOM. " Don't make me have to pound his tin crown face in". Etc. That's why the hip hop community loves both of them, they have their own aliases and with them different styles.

Quasimoto is interesting because it's a mix between the high pitched Madlib and his normal voice. Also, the high pitched thing is him rapping slowly and then speed the recording up so it sounds high pitched. It isn't just pitch shifted.

Supervillain Theme does in fact work great in a playlist lmao. Skits are sick, add some spice to your shuffle If you like piano I hope you check out more of the Metal Fingers catalogue. King Geedorah has been slept on hard, check out Next Levels if you like the jazzy style of Madvillainy.

Great reaction, man. Like yourself, I remember my first time listening to Madvillainy & being consistently mindblown by both Madlib and DOOM. The sample flips on Fancy Clown & Strange Ways, DOOM’s verse on America’s Most Blunted and so on...just timeless stuff.

It's "Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name." AKA the name is "DOOM," no "Doom" It's hard to tell based on how you edited but it sounds like you may have skipped part after the clapping in Rhinestone Cowboy? I really hope you didn't.. The first time the applause starts, keep listening and DOOM comes back in and drops another sick verse. Also, you should read up the story behind Rhinestone Cowboy, it makes it so much more enjoyable.

I did listen to Rhinestone Cowboy the whole way through, I probably just cut some of it out if my reaction wasn't entertaining *in my own editing eyes, of course!* I also just read some background on Rhinestone Cowboy after seeing your suggestion... wow, that's dope. It might be in my top 3 off this album after reading about it!

absolute crime for DOOM to not spit on a beat as fire as sickfit, why do you think he chose not to rap on it? He is the villain afterall he was asked about it and he said he chose not to rap on it.

He wasn't a great man BTW, he was the Illest Villain the world has ever known (although he was apparently a great dad to his boys). Ay this a cool reaction. I suggest you listen to Operation: DOOMSDAY, his Debut as MF DOOM, and also check out his albums with his brother who passed away in 1993, when he was known as Zev Love X, and was a part of a group called KMD

If you loving madlib, you have to work your way through J dilla's catalogue, the best to ever make beats and its dilla month ( he was born and died in February)
