How much in weight silver is silverware set?Truly, not depends...answer,but have u actually gained anything doing metal other than hobby,or for some money from advertisement on numbers of viewers and subscribers?I am trying to process palladium, will this work,as I see people do gold plate in this fashion with sulfuric.
Thank you for the video! The plan of action is to accumulate all of the items needed to implement this process and get a hold of free or cheap silverplate and then wait until the silver price stops being suppressed. When the price is over $500 an ounce (and it will be), get to work!
The demand for silver probably won't drive the price up very far. There are too many mines with silver content too low to justify specifically processing for it. However, if the price were to hit $52/oz again, like it did with the help of the Hunt brothers, then the supply of silver from these numerous low-grade deposits would dramatically increase. So, if silver hits above $75/oz, or so, it would probably be due to a weak US dollar (inflation).
You must be precise with the time and the amperes of the current you need during the process of peeling the silver from the objects. So the material you get is pure silver, so no further cleaning is needed. Thank you very much.
I hope you test your electrolysis solution for silver ! There is usually some left over in the solution that can be precipitated out as silver chloride with hydrochloric acid then converted. I know this video is supposed to be with no chemicals, but might be worth it to save your solution for later extraction !
@@kassiman5307 wish I could send pictures, I did reverse electrolysis, and put the blue sludge into a coffee pot filter and Im left with a turquoise paste, what am I supposed to do with that without chemicals ? I have drain cleaner but unsure if its chloridric or nitric
@@MrMikedejeuner I'm not an expert to answer you, but i think that without chemicals, you can't clear it and get the silver. Unfortunately only nitric acid can separate silver from base metals. BUT it's VERY DANGEROUS, be careful with that.
Man you are F-in awesome the way that you filmed your video helped me in so many ways I was able to retrieve silver and had a great time doing so I will continue to do so in the future thank you so very much you are very much appreciated if I could buy you lunch I would thanks man Tim from Florida
Hydrochloric acid is also known as muriatic acid which can be found in most hardware stores. However, you may be put under a watchlist if you buy muriatic acid along with other "listed" items/chemicals because it is a main component in making heroin and methamphetamine. If you are thinking of buying muriatic acid, make sure you are not getting any other precursor chemicals or hardware with it.
Tried to smelt 10k gold, but it made borax turn green and blue and brown and now it seams the metal has dislaved into the borax I was using a small hho torch it was about 2g of 10k gold what do I do to get the gold out of the borax?
Nothing that you can do now. Probably wasnt even 10k. or maybe was plated. Now you must refining it with chemicals. Difficult and dangerous proces. Dont try it at home if you dont know exactly what to do. Sell it as scrap gold.
@@byrdhemenway1213 As i can see at your video, i think that, wasn't clean 10k gold material..! I think was some basic metal or other alloy metal gold plated at 10k.
I did this with the same type of boards but added hydrogen peroxide. I was left with a lot of lead and plastics in my filter with the gold. I can't use a magnet because it picks up the gold pieces. Does this every happen to you with just HCL? Or did you clean everything somehow?
No it's not the same. Peroxide how much different and slower reaction. It's not so strong to clean gold, from other metals. For this reason I DONT use it.
@@jimmiewood4071 thanks man! You guys are smart as hell. I should have went to college for chemistry instead of physical science. This stuff is so interesting!
Idk,.I used this process for at least 4 yrs. I did not experience any chlorine poisoning or explosions. I was running it 8 hrs a day. no side effects. I did have a small fan blowing in my garage though. Now you got me wanting to use a fume hood though.
Car batteries average 650 cold cranking amps. This is a lot of amps. It can boil water easily. If you are going to use a glass container, use heat resistant glass or you may break a glass jar.
@@kassiman5307 why not recover it? I don't see how you give it to a recycling factory, you never could have as you burnt it away with the black silver residue, while you melted the black silver you collected.
