why honda put the matte black dash in the type r when everything else is gloss black! now i have a sport touring and everything is matte black but glossy dash! WTH! and i hate the gloss! sun reflects badly and blinds you. nice kit! but hope that glossiness doesnt bother you!
My guess its cuz the R is a track car and alot of people that have them actually take them to the track and Honda don't want them to get blinded by the reflection of a glossy dash. I haven't had it bother me yet. I think my seating possision helps with that.
Question, how did you go about tightening up the the top nut that feeds through to the suspension bracket hole, my sockets didn’t fit I had to use a ring spanner with offset and turn it bit by bit - it was a long ass process 😢
U can finish fully tightening by turning the allen key and holding the nut with a wrench. Does not have to only be "tighten nut while holding allen key like i show i did for the bottom one.
I definitely wanna do PRL intercooler plus charge pipes on my TLX Type S but if you got no more hp it might be the Same for mine, but thx for the content

@grombs5911 I get them from Carbonsixthelement on Instagram. They custom make parts and so everything is made to order and can take 2 to 3 months to get after you make your order.
There's a guy with an Integra type S who has basically the same mods as you, but also a TSP downpipe, and he added like 50+ HP. I think the downpipe is key to unlocking the power in this car.
@MoisesEmpire I'm going to wait on tuning for 2-3 years. I wanna see which tunes are proving to be reliable over time and which ones are causing problems. So far, I haven't heard of any FL5s having engine or transmission problems but they haven't racked up many miles yet .
All those off the shelf tunes will be really reliable since they don't push the car to the max. Its the custom tunes that really push the car and can lead to problems if they are not done correctly.
Turns out the type R door panel trim is a different shape internally from the regular civics so i had to wait for the company to get some type R door panels so they can make them in carbon to the correct shape. They now have it available but i haven't bought them yet. I Need money lol.
Car culture promotes some dumb shit but StANCe would have to be in the top 5 most ridiculous. I would bet this car has lost performance after this "mod"
Would have been nice not to need to remove it but the screws that hold it in place are right in front of the crash bar so there isn't any room to be able to remove the screws from underneath the car. Believe me i tried to do it without removing the bumper lol.
The handle part number he used is for cars without smart keys that don't have a small button in the handle. If your R has keyless access with a black button in the handle, the correct handle is over $300.

Thanks for the video. I've installed 20mm ones. It seems as there is understeer now. What is your experience? Any understeer in spirited driving cornering after installation?
I don't think so but then again I don't live in an area with alot of twisty roads so I haven't really been able to push the car during turns enough to notice any understeer.
That's too permanent for me. I like easy to remove when needed. Also since those are a much stronger hold, it's more likely for your bumper to get messed up if the lip ever hits anything. Self tapping screws and 3m tape work just fine for this. Been over 100mph a few times and lip is still holding strong.
Hi Moise. I have a question please. When you upgraded the turbo on that car did you had to upgrade anything else at the same time for the car to stay strong?
No i didn't have to upgrade anything else but ofcourse it helps to be full bolt ons already before getting a bigger turbo so that u can get the most power out of the turbo. After time a better clutch maybe re required tho since a bigger turbo will make more tourque and the clutches in these cars arent the best since they not made for performance.

@julienvial959 yes the W2 is what I had in my car and it never upgraded the rods. As long as your tuner doesn't tune the tourqe over 300 you will be fine. Always remember that the parts like bigger drop in turbos aren't what cause damage to a car, its how they are tuned that can cause damage.
Hard to capture on camera but its a noticable difference. 15mm is perfect for the front for a flush look but I do wish I would have done 20mm in the rear. But its temporary till I get some wheels so not a huge deal to me.

I totally get it because I got the 2.0 T Honda Accord not too long ago and I have been seeing everyone getting the 25 mm by Bonoss And they actually come out a lot more stock and then I seen. They also had a 30 mm so I’m gonna go with that to get them to look a lot more flush.
I think they sound great but I do have them powered by an amp and not just the radio so im sure there is a bit of a difference between how yours sound and how mine sound.

Yes its still great. Its an OEM part from Honda so fit and finish is perfect but no its not worth $700. I got mine for $550 if i remeber correctly. But if i could go back in time id have got one aftermarket like from company Carbonsixthelement. Much cheaper and still great quality and fitment.
