Just a fun channel where i fish different places chasing jewfish an whatever else is about. Plenty of tips aswell along the way. Im mostly fishing lures out of my boat but will occasionally fish the bank to mix it up. Enough talk lets get fishing.
@@skippersbbq2528 thanks mate. Still learning it all but got a few hours of flying up now at least so i try to improve each time. One day itl all come together 🤞
Good to see you back on the water Andrew not good your still not feeling the best. Hopefully you and your family get well soon. I'm heading off in the morning for a fish at Mulwala. It's been a long time since I've been out so hopefully I get something. Try and rest up mate and get well
@@RR-bm6od i just cruise when im using the side imagining usually under 10kph , mine will read bottom and find structure going 40kph but its not as clear as when i just idle along. An the slower u go the better the quality of sounding u get back which makes identifying the bottom much easier. An its much easier to see fish aswell an bait schools when going slower.
@@zaiakhamis4 most of the time i cast at the edge and bring it back into the deep water. Unless i mark bait balls deep then il just cast deep straight away 👍
@@rondg5651 thanks mate. The legal size in nsw for jewfish is 70cm an there is a limit of 2 fish per boat. Most fish between 70cm to 100cm will roughly weigh between 5-10 kgs 👍
@@foxandbladelifestyle when i seen them busting up i was pretty happy, i new it would b a fun session. There a great fight and put on a show thats forsure 🙌
@@steveterrasi4509 i do have favorites but the fish just seem to eat most colours. Maybe when there not biting as good colour might make more of a difference. I like most colours that have uv in them 👍
Great session you legend!! That certate screaming is a beautyyyy! Well done bro - keep the videos coming!!!! Good mix of fish - loving those salmon they are super aggressive and are an awesome fight on the light gear. Fishing in Sydney harbour once they started busing up in front of us and chasing them on 2000 gear was the best feeling haha Get well soon mate!
Good way to finish a day Lowy!...Wouldn't worry about sambos not seeing ya topwater in chop mate they will spot tiny white raiders in the suds no worries!..another 2 months or so of cold to go.
Hey Andrew, I'd be happy catching salmon all session cause they just go hard👍and the anticipation when you see them chasing your lure on top water like your video shows is just super addictive
@@Stevos_HookedonRods4844 give an take stevo 🤣 stuck at home sick now however not in a great way. Doubt il be able to fish this weekend unless i make a miraculous recovery.
@Lowysfishing unlucky mate not good. Well rest up for all and get set for a big return. By then hopefully the weather will be better and you get some great fish
Sick video as always - love ur straight to the point style & the results speak for themselves. Ive got one question tho, and it's a bit of an odd one, I know... where's your accent from? Obvs it's Aussie but I'm from Melbourne and I haven't heard an Australian accent with a broad "w", like in "know" or "through" down here. Anyway, hope it's not rude to ask, just curious. Tight lines & keep bringing out the great vids ✊😎🎣
@@Lowysfishing yeeah true - now you say it, I can hear it. It's cool how these things are passed down... Every now and then I catch myself using sayings or what have you from my grandad, even tho I was pretty young when he passed away. Its nice how he's still around like that. Anyway, cheers for getting back to me + tight lines 👌🙂
I noticed the last couple of vuds you've been using heavier than usual jigheads. Is it just me or you upsize for the windy conditions? Or you fish heavier normally? I'm always shy about using heavy jigs even in deep water because I would guess the fish are bolting at size of the bombs coming at them! 😅
@@danielsvozil7177 i definitely go heavier to keep some feel when its windy mate. I cant stand having that big bow in my line an usually ive had no dramas getting fish on the heavier heads. Alot of the time i current im using at least 5/8 oz aswell. Fish dont seem to mind. I will use 1/2 or 3/8 if its in the lake and not windy.
Hey mate joey here that use to work with ya at NET. good videos u got going mate keep up the good work might see ya at the ramp one day might have to get some plastic lessons off ya haha
@@DaiwaAustralia thanks, definitely makes it hard to have fun when it blowing 30plus but made it work. Also getting a variety of species on the bait junkies shows how much the fish like them 🙌
Tuff day in the office Lowy, slogging it out in those conditions Ya got the Jew, Just. Yeah there's some sketchy ground through there, but i've got some nice fish at times up there Cheers
Good on you Andrew, another good video👍 As you know, with 10lb leader and oysters on rocks etc, you did well to get that jewfish across the line, easily could have ended in disaster. I had to laugh when you said that flathead are all you're catching. Thats me just about every weekend including the one just gone.
There just seems to be more flattys then any other fish at the moment. And there not massive either but better then no fish. Yer 10lb doesnt hold up very well against oysters.
Terrible conditions Andrew you did great hard to find a area out of the wind. Got a reward at the end that paid off. Tried the bait junkie prawn last weekend great plastic fish seem to like it look forward to the next adventure
Yes Andrew it was awful, so limited in where u can fish. An definitely the best part of casting all that time was the reward at the end. Made it all worth it so happy i went out. Thanks for watching mate 🤙🏻
@MrStateman its shallow mate an has rockwalls there that would rip the motor off ya boat. An theres also old oyster rack poles too in an around there to dodge.
@@Clemohunt was good to get out there mate but not much fun fishing an moving spots in the wind. Youll have to get back out there mate an get that jewy u lost 🤞
@@Lowysfishing yeah always good to get out none the less, never had braid slip like that before, I’ve probably caught 50 odd Jew on that outfit with the same braid🤷♂️ lesson learned, will back it with a little mono.
Another top video Andrew your definitely having a good go in not so good conditions. Also just comes to show that you definitely know your area. Your giving us all a master class when it comes to get out there no matter what to enjoy what fishing brings us all. Thank you Andrew and look forward to your next adventure
@@regkershaw fishing for so many years mate ive learned alot of where to fish in what conditions. Its still hard work to get bites sometimes but i enjoy the challenge of it in bad conditions. Thanks as always for watching Reg 🙏
@@thewoodboystv thanks alot, almost didnt bother going in this wind. Lake has bn very hit and miss atm with jewies from what ive seen. An very scattered aswell. Try in shallow early around points near deeper water and if the baits there u should be a good shot. An by shallow i mean between 10-20 ft ish. Once the suns up fish deeper around 25-35 ft. Plastics or vibes an no more than 15lb leader. An try to fish around the whitebait schools as much as possible. Good luck mate il have to get back into the lake jewies soon when the weather improves. I hate fishing the lake in howling winds.
@@Murphyshephard23975 cheers mate. Glad i went i almost didnt bother with all the wind about but wanted to keep consistent with the videos so im glad it worked out ok. I havnt tried those yet next time i make my way into a tackle shop il have a sus at them 👍
@@ronabdilla5306 thanks mate. Geez sounds like a tough day there. Ive had plenty of those days, no good fish lost lures horrible weather. Makes the really good trips much better. Hopefully u get into them next trip mate 👍
Hi mate, I will be launching from Brooklyn boat ramp this Saturday late afternoon. You mentioned about debris in the river. Are there still debris out there? Thanks!
