Flicking lures around Pittwater and the Hawkesbury river

Finally got a decent day to head back to Pittwater and do some fishing and searching for wrecks to gain some more spots for upcoming trips. An on my way back to the ramp had a few casts in the Hawkesbury river. Great weather decent fishing come along an see how it all went. Thanks mate. Had a go in the hawkesbury today pretty quiet day. Going to wait for a weekday to fish those wrecks hopefully not too long away but im keen to see how they go.

Bit of an exploration mission mate looking for some good ground. I had time an conditions were perfect to do some searching. Still had time for a quick flick but as always 👍

Least you got the Net 😂 Weekday fishing again, might as well while ya can get them. Them salmon are fun on the light gear. I had a good session outside mid week, had a blast Cheers

Thanks Stevo, yer dont mind casting at the salmon when i get the chance. Good fun on the light stuff forsure. Had the net but still forgot the batteries. Next time 🤣

Thanks mate. Ive bn into cowan 1 time so im also keen to get back in there for more exploring. Very calm in there an fairly clear last time i went there.

Great fun sesh mate many keys to unlock in pitty ... fished it for 45 years know it intimately... keep at it.... pbs in pitty 27.4kg on 6lb 10lb leader 34.4 kg on 10lb leader and 42kg on 15lb leader ....over 4k captures on lure and over 2k on baits ... Followed your channel for a year you are on school grounds and one tip on lures keep away from the lures your using they are school fish catchers .... remember one saying I've said for many years.... elephants eat peanuts... good luck in your search that 20+ is around the corner... stick in pitty try ground that are deep close to shallow banks next to current flow on points they school up thr 4 months of the year good luck 👍

Thanks mate, i do spend alot of time chasing schoolies hence the smaller profile lures. I guess as u would know there far easier to catch than 20kg plus fish. Dont get me wrong id love to spend all day out there chasing those donkeys but i have to catch something for content. An i think the more i can get there to fish i will learn the better spots to target the bigger jewies. I was looking for wrecks this trip mainly to try for kinigies but im always happy if a jewy comes along there a special fish. Thanks for watching mate and awesome catches youve got there 👍

Very common where i live mate near the hunter river, hopefully i can get onto a few in the Hawkesbury this winter. Time will tell 🤞

Ive only had 3 trips there this bn the third, its bn really good for me so far. I didn't spend much time fishing there this trip i used alot of time out there searching for some wrecks so i had more spots to fish next time. Hopefully pays off mate 🤞
