Okay, I graduated from science high school and I wasn't the best there. Everyone was a monster in physic but I was not as good as them, even though I was definitely above average. Anyways, I could go to some good cs faculties in my country but I didn't think I could do it and my DUMBA&& CHOSE LAW FACULTY INSTEAD (one of the best in turkey.. we can go to law school without going to a 4 year major beforehand). And I graduated and I regret it so so much, its mainly because of economy ofc and engineering is a competitive field too i knoww but.. at least I could study abroad easily. Sorry for yapping
I am literally entering my third year with my average at a 60. Always been a dream to get a first class. Computer Science ain't easy at all. Remember to use past papers to revise for exams and cats they are always repetitive.
In 20 years, computer science careers will be one of the highest paid careers, potentially exceeding doctors. AI and machine learning is the speciality that is likely to have the highest median income, closely followed by cyber security. Finance will have a slightly lower median income compared to computer science, as for law, it will go down in the rankings, still a lucrative career but oversaturated and not as high paying as it once was in the new technological revolution in our economy.
Hi there do you think it is possible to get a uni requirement covered for CSE major if I take Business, Pure maths and computer science in my Alevels and was a full commerce student in olevels?
What if you're a CS student and enjoy CS, but want to learn law to be more exposed...what do you say about that? I'm a cs student going to y final year, and thinking of furthering my studies, but then i want to also try the legal aspect of tech(i don't know if that make sense)....what do you advice or think?
I disagree that a Computer Science curriculum isn't practical. The mathematics and logic used within the field can absolutely translate into practical critical thinking skills outside of the field.
I'm considering to apply to Loughborough as an undergraduate international student and planing to live on-campus for the first year. Could you provide more details on how you can find out if the halls you chose are close to your major department (psychology)?
Should i still choose Computer science engineering in 2024. I've always dreamt of choosing CSE for university but now I'm seeing everyone discouraging to do it and major tech layoffs. I'm really confused and depressed.
Hey mista it was a nice informative video , i wanna say that i am planning on studying msc in sports management in Loughborough, so is it worth doing ? And also i am from india and i am going to be taking a loan to fund my studies and loving costs so are the placements good and also am i gonna be able to repay the loans with the salary they are gonna offer me?
Mannn you just saved my life . Tbh I was about to take computer degree but I’m not very good in maths plus I was kinda interested in law ( especially crime part ) . I was thinking which one to take . Your video gave me an idea 💡. Thanks alot !!!!
Thx for the video mate! I'm thinking about majoring in CS but I'm not sure I would love it. Personally, I am a huge pure math guy but I don't feel strongly about computers and programming. I mean, it doesn't engross me or intrigued me as much as others. I've heard people say there's a lot of proof based mathematics so that may be up in my alley but I'm not sure how much of it is true or if I would enjoy it? Can you please share some more on this regard? Thx
saame iam also too much into pure math and lets say to pure science in general some times and in theories i wonder what have you done, did you get into studyind cs
What should i study?I dont like CS.But my family wants me to study in CS.I want to study an easy subject and complete graduation n do a decent job.Can you suggest me what should i study?
yeh speaking as someone who just graduated from CS, dont do it f you dont like it - maths is a good general degree but is very hard, u could look into apprentship degree schemes i would say - depends of ur country but if u uk or us and have to pay for degree or only have one chance nothing wrong with just working for a bit trying to move away from ur family and have more of a think on whatnyou really want to do, id say in life friendships and relations are some of the msot rewarduing thing. system is fucked, give yourself grace, mother often DOES NOT know best
i meant relationships like romantic, like gf bf, finding my boyfriend has changed my life much mre than any career bullshit cos he makes me happier then i ever been, -- dont just do what family says often they dont have a clue, you the ne who has to tolerate it, dont do it if u hate iut or not sure about it probs
Hey! I am thinking of doing my undergrad in CS & Data Analysis this yea! I'm quite interested in all things related to computer and quite enjoy the basic coding that I have self-learnt. But I'm pretty average in maths. I am an international student so my education system is completely different from most (I did not do A or O levels, instead we have SSC & HSC). So I wanted to know if I need to be very good at maths in general to pursue CS? Or is it okay to just be average in it? Also, are there any particular topics of mathematics that you think a freshman doing CS degree should definitely know before getting started (like- vectors, calc, trigonometry etc.)? If yes then could you please mention some? I start in September 23' so I still have plenty time to teach myself somethings in math that I might directly need to apply in my first year of uni.
For a cs degree having a strong foundation in calculus, algebra, discrete mathematics, physics and statistics is a necessity. But luckily most cs programs require you to take these classes.
Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.
Hi I need a career change and was thinking to apply for a job as sales estate agent. I am middle aged and wander how many hours per week I will be required to work. Thanks.
hi. I want to study computer science but i've got to do my a-levels first and i wanted to ask which one you think will be more beneficiary for me. Under mathematics, do I take mechanics or statistics?
I feel it’s more likely to take away Law related jobs than software engineers. Ai will most likely always, or at least for a while, need at least one engineer for maintenance.
Its not at all possible. Probably the most block-headed statement perpetuated by non-techies today. And that's not I or others being protective etc. If you think this, then you are very naïve about the career field and should actually read into it before perpetuating this cliché.
At the time, it honestly varied a lot. Usually when I would work on my final year project, it would be long. I can’t really give a number to it to be honest. Just be prepared to work like at least 4-5 hours a day. Sometimes it might be less and sometimes it may be more.
Hey! I really love this video, really insightful. I’m currently a med student but I realised it’s not for me. So I’m considering switching to CS since I find it interesting, I’m fine with maths and I want to potentially start a business one day. How helpful would you say a CS degree is in terms of entrepreneurship?
