I think some of the funnest, most interesting games I've played were indie, and HEAVILY INNAPROPRIATE games from "Certain" sites lol. The dialogue was funnier, the mechanics and story was cooler, and some of them just tickled the micromanager brain I have for farmsim-like games.
39:51 I can't count how many times I've tried to get the women I know to play games like Stardew Valley or like Palworld or some shit. They REFUSE TO LISTEN.
27:35 So I understand that if you're not into car guys you'd be even less likely to understand this particular meme, because this one's for GUN guys. The joke here is that a Revolver loads in the 6 round cylindrical chamber in the center of the gun, and fires them by cocking a hammer back and hitting the blast cap on the end of the round which spins the chambers. Hence the name "revolver". Now, the action being done in the image is a magazine load for modern pistols which have spring loaded mechanisms in the magazine to push rounds upward and into the chamber. You then pull the slide, or "Rack the slide" in the lingo, to chamber a round from the magazine. You can't do any of the modern pistol loading and whatnot on a revolver from how fundamentally different the mechanics are. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk lol P.S. Not trying to "mansplain" or whatever, but I figured it'd be interesting to know a bit more about, and might make future situations like this have more meaning.
22:21 Ok but when you're using contouring to IRL graphics design your person like it's a video game with sliders?? That's what we're talking about. It's gotten to a point where some women look like they've been worked on by Hollywood make-up artists.
That’s only women on the internet. I’ve never contoured in my life. It never looks good in IRL like it looks in pictures. Plus a lot of picks are using facetune too. You can’t hide it real life. Plus men can contour too.
Sounds like the solution is using the full scale and giving multiple scores for different categories (story, gameplay, ...) so people can look at the one they care about
It's very lucky people didn't go along with the mismanagement and lies. The Milgram experiment proved 70% of people will obey authority no matter how immoral but the engineering crew and the passengers did the right things.
Kinda wish that reactors, after they pause to comment on a point, would hit that sweet sweet "rewind 5 seconds" key, just to hear back the sentence of the _next_ point they paused in the middle of. This is a universal problem, not just this channel btw; I wish it would enter into the Reactor Ettiquette.
@@camellia_vt pretty sure on PC it's the Left and Right Arrow keys to go backwards or fowards 5 seconds (the default is 10 secs but it can be changed in the settings, and 10 secs is too many imo). It's just a nice way to sort of "reset" whatever sentence is being spoken, without sacrificing too much time.
My rating critera is quite harsh i think. 5/10 is a good game, not one id recommend but one to play if u like that genre of game. 10/10 is given to only 1 title that i think is the game that "should" be the game to get others into that genre. Honestly like you said nothing should be given 10/10 but I still give that 1 title a 10/10 to catch peoples attention. It extends to anime for me as well... "in another world with a smartphone" I still enjoyed even though its the most generic possible isekai anime that doesn't have any interesting powers or concepts. 5/10... id still say some1 to give it a watch. Then Log Horizon I would give 8/10 because it tackles some extremely unique points that I still have yet to see in any other isekai.. id put it side by side with overlord both honestly go to the extremes on different spectrums but neglect something else in return. If i was to give an example of 1 of my all time favourite games it would be command and conquer generals. If you want to get into RTS this is the game. Typically RTS is about micro management but this game condensed the resources into a single hotspot that greatly reduces the micro management but instead makes them points of conflict to spice up gameplay and the units are so large that for the USA they tipically run 3 units to 6-7 late game as a group (Damn humvees and amulances with an avenger to say no to planes and lock on) ... no trying to manage 30+ but it rewards proper placement and point of entry much more. Basically removes most of the overwhelming con of RTS of trying to manage too much and exchanges it with a much more interactive gameplay.
Also of note is sometimes games get better or worse post release so the launch review numbers feel off long after. Cyberpunk 2077 had a bad launch thanks to all the bugs, but the devs wanted to do right by the players and fix it and now the game feels like what it always should have been (related: sometimes mods also help some games, the infamous Daikatana actually becomes a decent game, past the opening levels, if you play with a fan patch that fixes the infamous partner problems). Meanwhile Overwatch no longer feels like that amazing game I spent hours on back in 2017.
There are Nightshade plants that are actually pretty deadly especially the Atropa Belladonna or ‘Deadly Nightshade’ while not that bad for animals is very much poisonous to humans, and can kill you if you eat enough of them, they can be identified by having purple bell shaped flowers, pale green oval shaped leaves, and shiny black berries generally growing individually instead of in bunches but are very pleasing to the eye. I’ve even seen some before granted not in the wild.
@@camellia_vt yep I believe that is one of the species that are safe to eat but I probably wouldn’t risk it for anyone who isn’t really well versed in botany, that being me also.
Fun fact: Corn was actually first cultivated in what is now Mexico, from a wild grass called Teosinte which only had a few kernels and were so dense and hard they had to be boiled first for risk of chipping teeth, but the people who first cultivated it saw a lot of potential in it and began selectively breeding it for larger and more numerous kernels that were softer. But over time that led to corn that couldn’t as easily regenerate as Teosinte did. Even then before Europeans cam to the America’s any mention of corn in writing or other historical documents more or less referred to other grains like wheat and barley.
Maybe the Greater Will is long gone... just invested the world with the Erdtree and goes own to spread its kind of order into the universe, because that is what it does.. and the people in Elden Ring are doomed anyway.
so you agree with me, that the only reason vtubers are getting banned more than non vtubers is because boomers think cartoon and anime are for kids and they push our content to their young audience. Just because I am animated does not mean I am children's entertainment
@@camellia_vt i dont care about this avatar you use. Twitch has a very large audience of children. Creators keep making adult content on twitch. Twitch is baning Vtubers as a blanket action for its own public image.
I think the mindset truly started all the way back to when cartoons started airing on TV. Producers had a strangle around studios to make their animations cheap and appeal to children more so than adults. This is how Hanna Barbera worked around their limitations and built a empire in animation on television, and when competition eventually rose, they saw what worked for Hanna Barbera and did the same thing, cheap animation appealing to kids. Now, there have always been adult animated movies, but they didn’t and in ways still don’t have the wide spread reach to families and children. Also, taking shorts from the 30’s and 40’s and slapping them on TV (whether with or without censorship) made the idea of “animation is for kids” mindset worse. We are living in 2024 with decades of mature and adult animations (including anime) being just as popular and as marketable as children’s cartoons. Yet, producers within the entertainment industry which includes RU-vid and Twitch still have this incredibly outdated way of thinking and judging animation, and as long as these people are still in charge, nothing’s going to change and VTubers (because they just so happen to use animated characters to represent themselves) are going to suffer for no reason.
yeah, it is really annoying because I once got told that all the stuff I play and watch is for kids, just because it was animated & that they were video games & the anime that I have watched and the games I have played are definitely not for kids and to be Frank, I was told this by my stepdad, which he hated the fact I was even born so it's to be expected, he would think like a boomer and run on one brain cell 24/7
genuinly, i think about the roman empire maybe every 2-3 days, sometimes it may go down to once per week or so, but usually every 2 or so dar the roman empire is seriously so fascinating and i have around 7-9 youtube channels i watch that exclusively talk about it, everything from food culture to war strategies
I mean I don't think about the Roman Empire that often nowadays, I did though and I don't anymore since I'm currently more interested by the caliphate, the punic wars, the napoleonic wars and the Frankish Empire domination over Western Europe. But I don't know why camellia thinks this Roman Empire thing is a myth ?
1:00:08 They actually did announce a big follow up game, it's currently under development - this time without the pressure tho. It's called "Light No Fire" 😊 (you can check out the trailer) + they just released a big new update for No Man's Sky, which overhauls the whole game visually and it looks amazing. There's also a video with Sean talking about it on Hello Games' youtube page.
The roman empire all the time because we drive on the left due to the romans marching on the left to keep their right hand free for their swords for when they get attacked they can defend themselves and that is why we drive on the left since everyone kept the habit and there is no reason to change it.
