Cool, thanks for this. Just started my car up for the first time this year and the motor was bad. Im a former HVAC mechanic and always work on my own cars when possible, but Im recovering from heart surgery now and kinda limited physically. Sorry for the wierd question, but was it easy to do just kneeling down, or did you have to lay on the floor to access? I ordered a new motor and resistor, so should have it tomorrow. Thanks
I used a dual sensor air temperature gauge kit from amazon. I really only needed the post blower sensor but the other sensor didn't add much to the cost. check out the motor meter racing dual air intake intercooler temperature gauge. it cost me 76.49. cool video.
I just replaced mine with a amazon upgraded part on my C7 full aluminum housing and I haven't had any problems so far you might want to look into that one.
no wayyyy, i started watching the old series recently, in hopes of finding enough info to turbo my own 2.0l jetta wagon, and i will say this now, you got a KILLER deal when you bought this kit, all the ebay kits are 700$ and you get absolute garbage parts, sooooo jealous that you were able to snag an american racing short runner too! cant wait too see her running again!
Is it possible to do this without a tune? I want to inject 100% water for fuel economy sake. I want decrease to diameter intake to trick the MAF into the lean condition instead of paying for an expensive tune for the water injection.
Got the same message on my dash driving home from work tonight. "Don't exceed engine speed of 4000 rpm" with the epc light. Car felt completely normal, no misfire or anything. I turned the car off and took off again with no warning. Then I tested it by giving it some more throttle and as soon as I did, the error message came back. Thanks for the great informative video man. My 2013 S5 has been very good to me, so I was caught off guard.
This belt absolutely sucks(i have the stock1:1)! they are cool and fun and all for a few months and then they start making a screechy/squealing noise constantly even at idle. idk if it's poorly made or it slips or whatever but enjoy for as long as it lasts (it won't be long)(you can do something to stop that for a little while: with a rag wipe the back of it while the engine is on, the red part, than enjoy for a while than when it becomes annoying do it again)
Thanks for this video! I’m now almost positive my dw fuel pump is failing. Priming sounds off and I get bad misfires on startup, can’t go into boost whatsoever, massive fuel cuts.. mk4 gli
very nice build. im curious, what 02j transmission are you using? the 5 speed from a 2.0 na or a 5 speed from 1.8t. they have different ring and pinion ratios.
