Progress! Looking forward to the coolant flush, and if that gets it happy. I took the time to kinda look around on Row52 and ... are there NO large salvage yards around in Sante Fe? Or do you have to skip to nearby states to visit one?
My #2 cylinder misfire was from a burnt/melted exhaust valve. the misfire was only noticeable at idle and below 2k. above 2k it ran great. changed plugs, wires, coil and confirmed timing with a timing light. nothing fixed it and was still throwing a general misfire code, and #2 misfire code. did a compression test and bam, 0 psi/dead #2 cylinder. pulled the head and confirmed that one of the exhaust valves was melted. dropped off the head and new valvetrain at the machine shop 3 weeks ago
