My #2 cylinder misfire was from a burnt/melted exhaust valve. the misfire was only noticeable at idle and below 2k. above 2k it ran great. changed plugs, wires, coil and confirmed timing with a timing light. nothing fixed it and was still throwing a general misfire code, and #2 misfire code. did a compression test and bam, 0 psi/dead #2 cylinder. pulled the head and confirmed that one of the exhaust valves was melted. dropped off the head and new valvetrain at the machine shop 3 weeks ago
