Hi, if you're referring to Babish' recipe, it should be linked in the description box. But here's the link as well, just to make sure: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kDdUdvNQndo.html
and another recipe from my friend: (i lov them): 300 g butter 2.5 cups sugar 2 cups cocoa powder 1tps salt (more to taste) 3tsp vanilla 4 cold eggs 3/4 cup flour Butter sugar cocoa go into double boiler wait for butter to melt Wait for it to cool so when you add the eggs so they won’t cook , add in eggs etc etc Pour into 8x8 lined pan (our baking dish with parchment paper Also pre heat the oven to 160C* And stick in there for about an hour 20 mins More or less considering the oven When toothpick comes out with moist crumbs take it out (very thick brownies im assuming but pls try🥺) tysm
Thanks for your suggestion! We'll put it on our short list for the next brownie video. But we are still eating up the left over brownies from the other batches, so it may take some time :)
Clarie is my favorite recipe but i use all dark chocolate. i don't like milk chocolate because its too sweet. Also, baking it in aluminum foil will have a better result vs the paper that was used in the video
Thanks for your suggestions and insights. The dark chocolate is on our short list and we'll give the aluminum foil a try next time we bake a batch for ourselves :)
I think Josh’s recipe is remarkably average. Like a mediocre fade brownie. Tbh I expected more- he talks a big game! Claire’s looks like the winner to me. I like how it doesn’t rely on being underbaked to achieve the fudgy texture. Based on what you’ve said I think you might like Alvin’s 100hr brownie
Ghiradelli dark chocolate box mix plus espresso (powder or replace 2Tbs of the water), 1Tbs chili powder, 1Tbs cinnamon and 1/4tsp of cayenne. You’re welcome.
Thanks, it's worth try :). Is this your own personal recipe or did you get it from someone else? Just wondering in case we will rebake it, in order to cite the original creator.
Please try tasty's best fudgy brownie video - made it multiple times and it seems to be the best! worth trying alvin's 100hr brownie - have heard good reviews from that too
Thanks for the suggestion! We'll put it on our list and as soon as we have another worthy contender we can go into part 3 of our brownie contest. But first, we have to eat a lot of left over brownies from this video 😃
Thank you ☺. Cinnamon rolls are coincidentally on our short list for one of the next videos. If you have a specific recipe in mind, which you would like to see, then please let us know!
@@emmaleonmossBinging With Babish, Exrta Fully Cinnamon Rolls by Zaynab Issa from Bon Appetit, and Brian Lagerstrom’s are a few really good ones I’ve heard. I’ve only tried Babish’s, but it was extremely good.
Awesome, thanks for the suggestions and details! Sounds like we definitely will have Babish' cinnamon roll in that comparison video. We'll check out the other recipes as well. Judging from the brownies, Brian could be interesting for this as well.
My favourite method is browning the butter but then fully chilling it so it can be whipped, for me that gives the best of both worlds texture and flavour wise, and leads to a less greasy cookie. I’ll try your method first though to see how it turns out
Thanks for the suggestion :). We also tried this method, but our cookies turned out a little bit sandy or grainy on the edges. We will try another batch. Maybe the problem was something else. But let us know how our recipe turned out for you :)
I’ve only made Claire’s recipe but I’d be interested to try Joshua’s recipe. I agree that aging it 48 hours instead of 24 hours makes a huge difference. I like how sweet her cookies are personally, but I understand why some people don’t like that as much. Having that said, I think Claire’s cookies are the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. One thing about the cookies though at least with my experience is that if you eat just one cookie, you feel like you want to go to bed after because they are so rich.
It'll always be about personal taste preferences, so in reality, all cookies these cookies are great :). But you're right with that richness you describe which makes one feel very full. As the butter content of a recipe increases, that feeling gets more intense...
i make Claires recipe but you're right about it being greasy. Claire likes milk chocolate so i always swap it for all dark chocolate when i make it. Her brownies have the same "too sweet" problem to me.
If you like a chewy brownie, try Adam Ragusea. His different ingredient is sweetened condensed milk and powdered sugar to make sure you get the proper brownie skin on top. I just made them and they are the best I've had.
Interesting and good to know! Would you still keep the air away from it, just without pressing the sedan wrap onto the dough? We'll give it a try on our next batch and see how it influences the taste.
You are correct, good catch! We didn't pick it out from his video that it needs to rest 42 hrs. But in that case we may need to give it another go. It's always nice to have some cookies in the freezer anyways ;)
great review. must pit winner against claire saffitz, joshua weissman and bigger bolder baking. latter has a recipe for each texture.... cakey, fudgey or chewy!
Thank you very much :). We will do another video including your suggestions, as we're still not finished with our journey on finding the perfect brownie!
Tried Claire's and Joshua's. While I do love Claire's, I think Joshua's wins by a hair (excuse me for referring to hair when talking about food). I found myself going back to his recipe (although the second time I admit I didn't take the pan out and bang the cookies down because I found it unnecessary). I personally think he's going for the texture and consistency that Claire's cookies have naturally though. I give a very slight edge to Joshua.
Saw Josh's video👍, my burger food truck had simple juicy cheeseburgers with special sauce and special pickles, if want by # that's 1, 2 would be with tomato, 3 would be with onion ect.. just 1 ingredient simple. Then had sexy, dirty, shameful burgers👊. Your burger looks good, did you grind your beef? Think your burger should've been 8-10oz med rare and would be better in my opinion. When A powerful sauce try havarti cheese. Nothing like a burger you made for yourself right👍, buddy's and I hit the fridge and cabinets and create a burger every week🤤, famous Recipe Suggestion 🤔 if can find it "little donkey" I believe that's the name of burger and restaurant in Boston mass. tyvm tc 🍔
Thanks 😊. We actually had our butcher grind the meats, since we don't have a grinding machine or add-on for the Kitchen Aid at home. We tried to keep by Joshua's recipe with the meat, but personally, we also prefer medium rare on high-quality beef. But that would be really hard to achieve on a smashed patty. Havarti cheese does sound good! We'll give it a try on one of our next homemade burgers 👌
@@emmaleonmoss totally understand use what available, can ground meat in food processor too if have. To get close to med smashburger need atleast 3.5oz ball, after 10 sec or so smash, flip when comes loose, beveled spatula helps, as soon as flip add cheese and done, total 70-90 seconds so it's fast, obviously at home won't be set up like that, unless alone. Yea havarti melts fast, but also processed singles, there's no perfect in smashburger land lol, if it looks good eat it right👊, keep doing what do, saw enough to subscribe 👍, take care
@@emmaleonmoss man our best specials were things we made at 3 am when back from bar lol, like said look around, use what have, and if no shit faced and remember, was a hit, times were too shit faced too remember 🤣😂, and an egg on top makes big difference, that's why such Passion for burgers, the possibilities still blow my mind, enjoy🎉, even if see a video or get an idea just make your own 👍
Sauce wise is one main component to the burgerbread wise almost makes no difference unless it an exotic recipe meat needs to juicy medium with a little spice but increase the veggie to break up the greasiness from the meat
We completely agree on the sauce and meat with you! But you should definitely try to bake these burger buns yourself. You'll be amazed at the difference they can make...
Thank you, we're very happy to hear that 🙂! We will definitely continue to recreate our favorite foods. Feel free to let us know, if you have any recommendations on what we can recreate next.
Thank you so much for your honest opinion! I was too afraid of making their cookies bc of the amount of sweetness in the recipes. Please do more of these videos! I am trying to find a recipe with dough that isn’t too sweet, but has good textures to it
You are very welcome 🙂. We just uploaded a recipe, where we took the learnings from these three cookies, and slightly adjusted and combined them into one recipe to our liking. It sounds like, that it may exactly match your taste preferences as well. Check it out in this link and let us know how you enjoyed it, once you've baked a batch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J-RI1bwki1E.html
Honestly, I love this! I believe you're going to go really far. Do you mind if I be your editor? I'd love to help! I simply request nothing but exposure!
