The very tip of my selenite wand blunted and broke off. I think it would be very quick and easy to sharpen it back to a point again, but I am unsure what the best tool is for this. Should I just use sandpaper? If so what kind? Or is a different tool better and more efficient?
It’s beautiful. I can see that you are using a flex shaft but I would love to know what the tips are that you are using with it. I am assuming that you start by sanding and work to finer and finer tips? I guess wearing a mask is a must as well. Thanks
Hi Jessica,I use rotary power tool and sand papers. There are lots of different brand and size for the rotary tools.I found some of the handles are too big for my hand,so it's probably better if you go to a tool shop to acturally try them to find one suits you.
This is exactly what i've been looking for, thank you so much! I hope to make a zen garden of my own one day so this was very helpful. How did Zen gardens come to be?
There are wooden doors called amado that you can (should) put up/shut when there is a big rainstorm. and the roof overhangs enough to protect during light showers (if there is not too much wind). Also merely wet paper will dry. Replacing is for when it's damaged by dirt, tears, mold, etc. In modern houses, shoji are only inside the house, either as partitions or acting as interior windows behind which there is a standard, modern window, so no rain issue. Unruly children or pets are a bigger risk. I also have damage on the paper of one shoji due, I think, to the fact that the paper was replaced when the air was too humid, too soon after a small water damage elsewhere in the room; the paper teared along the border, and I think this due to normal shrinking when the air got dryer. Planning to replace it now, which is why I watched this video.
Recently purchased one very similar it's just a little shorter and closer to the flame of a very small candle and it gets pretty hot at the top is that okay should I be concerned and should I be using real candles thank you I appreciate
Hi Connie, most of the landscaping place will sale this type of gravel and rocks. Spend some time ,feel and talk to the rocks, then you will find the suitable rocks for your garden.😃
Try mason stone supply yards. We have O&G in CT. I made a Zen inspired fire pit area in my back yard. I used the stone I have in my yard, 9 acres, there was a lot of glacial activity, so rocks and boulders were plentiful but for the gravel I bought 5.5 tons which, with delivery came to about 500 dollars. The Home Depot and Lowe’s sells gravel but it’s by the bag…if you’re doing anything substantial, you need to get it by bulk🙂Do it. Everyone needs a Zen garden🙂
