I’ve made several hats from your tutorial and everyone loves them! Would you have any recommendations as far as stitch count / hook size, if I wanted to use a chunky yarn?

55 stitches is too small. It doesn’t even fit around my head and i’m a teenager lmao. I can try it with more stitches, but i’ve never gone “off script” a pattern before.

I had so much fun learning this pattern. Mine came out small but I think the yarn I chose was a tighter blend and I tend to make tighter stitches, I'm going to try again and see if I can find the yarn you used. Are you able to post the written round instructions? Sometimes that's easier than stopping and starting video. I agree, you're a great teacher though, cery easy to follow. Thank you!

Very clear instructions. It would be better if a light colour yarn is used so that we can see clearly.

You’re a great crochet teacher! This was my second hat and it turned out so great except I made an extra round so it’s big haha. But practices makes perfect! Thank you for this lovely tutorial.

I'm from Canada and I don't think we have that kind of yarn was wondering if you know if there's a similar kind of yarn to that thick yarn your using?
@OmiCrochet
@OmiCrochet Месяц назад
@@natalielinton1624 you could always check on Etsy or eBay for that exact yarn. I found some sellers when I was looking for something comparable. If you Google yarnsub.com and search for the yarn that I used, it comes up with quite a few options. The first option is by “ we are knitters” and the comparable yarn is called “the wool” I hope this helps. Thanks for watching :)

I think it depends on the ply. I used 8ply and they are very small. But the other pattern I used 10ply and they were bigger

I went wrong somewhere and my two sides were not equal in width or length! Lol. I just added to the length and hung it anyways. You can't really tell because you can't see both sides at the same time!

Is the resulting fabric thick and "solid" or is it see-through? Is the yarn worsted weight for substitution? And is there a written pattern ?

I made this beanie and love the way it turned out. However, instead of it fitting my boyfriends head, it fits mine, which is significantly smaller. So, with that being said, how many extra stitches would I need to make it about 3.5" larger?
