I love this tutorial, i have only one question... Why do you cut the yarn? Is it not easier to slip stitch until the place you need to be in next round? Or did i miss something and it is necessary?

It's not as clean. When you do SS it'll mess with the pattern

It's probably wood wrapped with yarn or maybe a small hula hoop wrapped with yarn. You could use a metal ring too.

Aca en Chile seria un aro para hacer deporte, especificamente un Uslau es de un material muy parecido a las barras de silicona , y tambien podria ser una manguera delgada como por ejemplo las que se usa para conectar desde la cocina a la cañeria el gas 👋👋
