Early morning fire at Howard Johnson Inn (w/ flames) 

#COLLEGEAREA (San Diego) - August 4, 2020
* San Diego Police and Fire received several reports that the Howard Johnson Inn was on fire
* First-in units confirmed a well-involved motel room
* Police started evacuating adjacent motel rooms
* At least 4 units are uninhabitable, with at least 3 on the second floor with fire/smoke damage, and 1 on the first floor with water damage
* Several motel guests were seen in their pajamas
* A woman who was staying in the room next door told us that she had to duck to get out the door due to the amount of flames
* It is unclear if the residents will be displaced or moved to another unoccupied room
* 3 adults displaced: 2 males, 1 female, per radio traffic
* A male was found in a parking area next door with major burns to his hands (skin was falling off). The male was extremely incoherent and possibly on drugs per radio traffic.
