ive heard many people say the reason that the idols are girls is for inclusivity. games with male leads are more likely to have playerbases more hostile to their female players; splatoon is unique in that women are the main characters, and means a lot to the japanese playerbase.
That sounds like a reach in a world where fetishizing female idols is very common, idols are very popular, and you choose the gender of the main character (the one you play as)
If they put apartments, they should make it to where your friends (like online) can appear in your apartment and walk around and interact, also your friends shouldn't be holograms they should appear like they do in battle but obviously without there weapons (when you character is in the city animation). Also make the phones actually do something like you can see pictures or videos of people or your friends online.
I would like to have an ink colour option were you can pick whatever colour you want as your main ink, however it'll not be any online modes like turf war and salmon run
More games should have little customizable player spaces, both single player and multiplayer. It's development resources spent on cosmetics, sure, but it'll help with player retention if they're invested in the digital good. ⭐
TWIINS TALKS ABOUT SPLATOON YAAAAAAAAAAAHHH Honestly never thought about the variety in clothes until you brought it up, to which it made me realize that yeah they really need to diverse in the next game to include way more kinds of clothes in a lot more colors I play ranked more than I play turf war or salmon run, so I too am hoping for more modes cause we got NONE in 3 I’m not a big online game guy (Splatoon is like the only online multiplayer game I play) so I too wish we had more single player stuff besides the hero mode. Side order was cool but it feels way to shallow to really get me invested (even if I did everything there is to do and get in side order) Getting band lore in the actual game would be SICK. Really tired of all of it being in external media. Plus it’d be nice to see the band characters in 3D and not permanently stuck in the realm of a single image I think going back to the 2 splatfest options is the best. Everyone felt way more at each others throats with 3’s splatfests, and if we do have 4 idol members next game, the idea of having them switch around which teams they go on every fest is a great one. (Your inkling/octolings drawings are amazing btw) Personally, I really want the hero mode to be deeper. Have some actually locales and levels and not these boring floating platforms with a cool looking skybox. Have the agents from the past games come in and actually talk instead of just standing there in silence while another character tells you what they’re trying to say. Anyway great video, sorry for the long comment it’s just neat seeing you talk about a series I really like.
The gameplay is good and all, but Splatoon’s biggest strengths really lie with the worldbuilding and culture. So I agree with more customization and the thing you mentioned about love performances of some of the other bands sounds fantastic. Would love to see more Splatoon content from you, I always appreciate your design and style videos ⭐️

⭐ This is more of a boring gameplay balance suggestion, but I wish that food and drink tickets weren't separated by specific categories. I don't want a food ticket for experience, and another for money, I want just one ticket type for food, and one ticket type for drinks. Its a weird pet peeve I have, because my food and drink tickets are literally rotting in my inventory. If we can't have that, then I want to have the option to sell the tickets for money. I want to be able to play all the single player minigames from the past splatoon games. Squid Jump, the rhythm game, table turf all that gimme it. Additionally, I want dresses, I want dresses so bad.
2:17 I was going to say you should give the rank modes a try but I haven't been playing that much since I don't really like the splats 3 maps. Rank is really fun on the big unique maps but the tetris maps are pretty sweaty. I hope the next game got bigger maps or have 3 maps on rotation so there's a higher chance of a good map being available.
They have added a lot of maps to 3, which helps (cuz yeah the original selection of maps are stinky doo doo, unfortunately). But it does also mean you're stuck watching the clock to avoid playing when the worse maps are the only available ones. I've also tried rank a little bit but I'm not very good at the game so those don't usually go too well lol
@@twiinsiink Playing rank solo is pretty tough. I hope they improve the communication for the next game Splatzones is the only one I like solo since it's simple. Rainmaker with some friends on a good map is peak splatoon for me.
I would highly recommend project Spaltoon 3 by squeaky to anyone who hasn’t seen it and new ideas Nintendo could get inspiration from it’s really good for Spaltoon 4
I’ve been playing splatoon since the first game and honestly we need new hairstyles!! If u check the splatoon art book there are so many unique hairstyles that aren’t in game so if splatoon 4 drops I’ll hope we get new hairstyles 🙏🙏

i just want more haircut and Nudibranch representation (like Flow,, her design is so great i want more like her ! see different appearance that her specie can take ! we saw how Anemone and Sea urchin can look very different from each other yet still having trait similar,, i want to see other nudibranch ! even in the multiple band we didnt saw any,,, and the sea angel in the underground doesnt make any sense to me and theyre Sea slug but not nudibranch also i would like to know what the heck is Tosh supposed to be
I personally would love the option of custom ink tanks. Like having the ink tank you use in the story mode or bringing back the classic ink tank from the first 2 games. They could jump be some sort of vanity that doesn't affect gameplay or they could be a new gear type with its own exclusive abilities.
I used to have a Project splatoon 4 before..before the Real splatoon 3 came out and was only announced. My project had...stolen characters and poorly made stuff. I also made a Project Splatoon 5 (with playable Miis) and Project Splatoon GO, which are actually kinda better. How about you guys? Would splatoon need more games?

Yeah, I don't get why Switch needed two mainline Splatoon games - a spinoff to go with Splatoon 2 would've been great to keep things fresh, plus all the Splatoon 3 stuff we got could be updates for a MUCH longer support of Splatoon 2 thru the Switch's life to avoid the COD/Battlefield issue
This actually made me pull out a calculator xD. As of version 4.6, there are 83 characters in the game, the current ratio of characters is 31/52 with (as you can guess) girls forming the majority, putting the "male population" of Genshin at around 37% Now, I can't say about how good that is as far as gacha games go, since I don't have much experience with many outside of GI, but considering how this video seems to frame the problem, I can only assume it's usually worse than that.
Your sister starting her AU reminded me to watch this, it's been in my Watch Later list awhile. I wish I'd watched it before my RWBY Motif video, I never really addressed the behaviour of the protagonists in volume 7; I was focused on *the* stupid thing that happens in each volume, and that was the tundra fight. I have to admit, I never considered the ableism; given the culture behind the scenes that developed once RT sold out, I'm not surprised. That, and losing Monty... at this point, if someone *does* pick up RWBY, I think I'd prefer a reboot than a continuation. "And then our 'heroes' showed up." Heh. Edited to add: I'm pretty sure they had someone who knew about combat PTSD, because I liked how they handled Yang's shakes.
And my least fav character in this game is Akito Shinonome. Though to be fair, I’m engaging in the main story at my own pace, starting with More More Jump because they’re my fav band. I don’t dislike him but I wasn’t a big fan of him making Kohane cry during their Main Story. I just have the least to like with this guy, because Tsukasa has his amazing bond with his sister and Rui is supportive to Nene from what I’ve seen.
Also I completely understand why Shiho is your least fav character. I did find her a bit too harsh during the Main Story but I do think she’s a bit easier to like during the stories I’ve seen.
I guess if I had a hot take it would be: I’m not as big of a fan of Tsukasa and Rui as the rest of this fandom. I’m neutral towards both and overall they’re among my least fav characters in the game because I have something to like or love about almost every other character. And my desire is for English voice acting for Project Sekai characters: the voice acting in Japanese is really good, but I feel like it hinders my enjoyment and willingness to engage in the stories. So if I could hear these characters I really like in a language I’m fluent in, I feel like I can care more for these characters and their conflicts more than I already do.
Holy Crap… @16:40 Yeah… That tan shirt is a really bad choice of color because for the longest time I have never noticed the chest area was open until you just pointed that out.
Imo i actually like Mizukis, even though i prefer the old one Though i like her in colour, her dressing slightly darker makes them look more coheisent, i would also point out they are the only one without a pale white/grey ombre, which could represent that they are the character who has had the least development, or focus from others. We still don't fully know what's going on with them, though we have a pretty good idea, as opposed to the others who we can say "this is what's going on" with certainty. So if the white represents them effectively growing out of their cages, that might be why mizukis seems so dull. Also, i would like to point out that they are the only one other than miku with completely covered legs, leaving the only part of them exposed being their head and hands, which could be showing that they are keeping a secret.
For cinder mistral outfit I don't like the long dress like I feel it should have been shorter or something else when I look at it in the show it just what does it look right to me
when it comes to the new looks my opinion is pretty simlar to yours sure here and there i prefer and dislike diffrently but it's pretty minor expect VBS Miku i love her OG look in fact it's my Miku fav design (there's are reason why i bought her statue) but her new look.... i really hate it, it feels like came from Transylvania it feels gothic to me not street, hip hop or anything like that i just don't think it fits VBS what so ever kinda funny how she went from my fav look to one of my least fav i hope the fuck when the 3rd design it's more like her OG or something along those lines

i think i can get why shiho wasnt really friends with anyone but like thats not a good reason for her to just not wanna be friends with her childhood friends ESPECIELLY SAKI, who we already was already close because they used to argue alot according to honami, so her just shutting out and not wanting to be friends with anyone couldve been implemented well if they didnt say "im rude so i cant friends with anyone" and you wanna know who else is pretty rude, AKITO and yet his friends with toya and an so like this kinda contradicts shiho's reasoning for why she cant be friends with people, but if anything we can put the blame on "student a", you know who they are and they do too
