I got one and it has never worked and Crealirty customer support sux. 4 Months of back and forth I have perched NEW CABLES AND SD CARDS AND PRINTED SEVERAL CLIPS TO HOLD ALL THE CONNECTORS TIGHT LIKE THEY TOLD ME TOO. I SENT THEM VIDEOS OF IT FAILING AND COPYS ON WERE I PERCHED IT AND THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE THEI BAD PRODUCT. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD QUIT HELPING THESE PEOPLE RIP PEOPLE OFF.
I don't understand the way you present marlin pros. I mean dude you can do multiple extruders on klipper aswell, it has a huge community aswell (and vorons and ratrigs community just ads more to it). And y'all still target the fact that klipper is hard to install and such but as a person that made a custom 3d printer with almost 0 knowledge in this field i can say it was pretty easy to do it. You just take the rpi imager and flash klipper on the sd card and you're almost done. You just need to make the firmware file for your mainboard (this is sometimes hard to do it but if you follow the klipper documentation and READ it's straightforward). Now don't get me wrong marlin is amazing for printers that don't need much quality or speed and just need to print something. And cnc machines! I use a old skr 2 board of mine to run laser marlin for my corexy laser cutter and it's amazing.
28 times pointing fingers in the first minute . I would like to watch the content but it's too much for me. I also like when people point out things that I maybe don't notice. They are usually right. Even though it makes us angry. Not trying to hate. Its just Constructive. Your content seems ok otherwise. Just chill out. 😎
I don't see the link to the stl file for the tablet mount

Hi, I have a Creality ender3 s1 pro printer, I don't have any problems with small prints, but when I want to print large prints, it says communication with the MCU is lost at different times and the printing process stops, when I want to continue from where it left off, it starts from the wrong position. Why does this machine give an error with large prints, I searched the internet and couldn't find much information that would be useful for me. I talked to a service and they told me that this could be due to overheating of the sonic pad, stepper or motherboard. I don't know what to do. Do you think cooling the steppers could be a solution, if you have published a video about this, I couldn't find it unfortunately. I would be very happy if you could give me advice. Unfortunately, I don't have enough technical knowledge on these issues. 😞
This does show a useful quality of 3d printing but that is not a food safe print and the carbon fiber will be embedded into your hand and anything you cut.
Great review. How often have you had to strip the head to unblock it. It’s the only thing I’d be concerned with following g your video. Great content, keep up the good work 🏴
I’ve been trying to set this thing up for 4 hours, it’s not straightforward when it doesn’t work as it’s supposed to be, google doesn’t help, Reddit gives only answers to questions I didn’t ask, discord doesn’t respond at all, error messages are vague and every hates you when you don’t understand them. And the touch screen is a living hell, some parts don’t respond at all. And all this time I could’ve just used a raspberry pi?
If you have a 7 year old printer is now worth 100 dollars max, it’s not worth of buying a raspberry pi to get clipper running on it, investing all of the time it needs to install , configure and tinker with it until it runs right. Marlin would be the easy shortcut to improve the result without much extra time spent. Clipper might speed up thing but the extra speed will also introduce extra problems in many cases , especially with cheaper hardware.
Thanks for the video, been out of this side of 3D for a few years and it seems.... sure didn't slow down in my time away. I've got a HyperCube Evolution I build and moded a bit from the base project, it's ok or good, but never been FAST, so I tend to use only a small portion of the build area as filling it would be a multi-day print. So, I find myself looking to improve that and start using it again. I'm still using the ramps1.4 stack with Marlin (1.9 i think). Any recomendations on new boards, screens (touch if possible), drives? Hesitant with Klipper simply because I know my limits programming, if a base file for my printer is avalible, could probably stumble throught changing some parameters (size, setsp per mm...ect)
how do you disable macros? The one in particular is when I rooted my K1 Max it changed the purge settings. I can turn it off for that session but I've yet to find a way to fully remove it or at least have it disabled so I don't need to worry about it messing up my print. How do I do that? I'm running Mainsail.
@@GeorgeDotExe_ I found it, you had to go into the KAMP settings... so now it doesn't do that line BUT, it does no purge line at all once I remarked out that setting.
@@97JoMiller oh, you haven't mentioned that you're using kamp, what purge method were you using? Line or voron logo? If it doesn't purge at all anymore you should go in your slicer, machine gcode, start gcode and check if you have the purge line gcode.
Was kind of shocked to find out the Ender 3 V3 runs the OS (Linux) and Klipper on board, no Raspberry Pi needed! Originally I was afraid of dumping Marlin and octoprint, but the Klipper system is much better and MUCH more configurable/customizable.
Thanks for the information! I dont have a printer yet but was s rolling the reddit and everyone has a raspberrypi it seems on there enders... just wanted to learn some more information before buying mine... (also waiting for payday)
I have a spare Raspberry Pi but I never got around to installing klipper on it... for no other reason than I stumbled upon mriscoc's firmware and have been super happy with it's feature set and configurability. That being said, klipper may be something I revisit once I pick up my new Ender printer.
9:03 Couldn't agree more... I'm actually doing some final research on what I should upgrade my V2 Neo to, and I think the S1 Pro is what I'm getting in a few days when I get paid. I could save a few paychecks for a Bambu Labs, but to me the community support and open source nature of Ender's is what seals the deal for me. I started using Linux in 1996 so I'm not afraid of putting in some proverbial elbow grease to get something running the way I want it to.
You are right both Marlin and Klipper work really well. I used Marlin for three years and it worked well , although I did not config it I used Kersey Fabrications firmware which worked really well. Then I got bored one day and had a go at Klipper , because I am not tech savy it took six months of trying to get it to work. Now I would not go back I have it sorted and it is easy for me . I have not leveled the bed for a year and my start routine is the same every time . Home, z-tilt, home and print. No print failures for a year. Good vid 😀
10-50 !! 10-78 !! nobody noticed the JB-WELD in the screw holes that is now on the bottom of the Sensor. so now the Sensor AND Screws are JB-Welded to the badass bracket. lol good luck getting it off without cracking the housing of the sensor. guess you can always make another housing. lol. but i do like the idea of a Magnetic G-Sensor Mount for the Bed. and now, with just a small piece of steel mounted to the Extruder, the whole thing is easy to move from Extruder to Build Plate !!!! and just flip the X,Y,Z to any orientation on the Sonic Pad and you dont have to worry about breaking the sensor housing to get it off the JB Weld you didnt clean off from the bracket. rofl.
I’m thinkin’ your OS is running on “OG”-Code..‼️ Great Videos… Personality AND A Lot of useful knowledge and information… So happy I found your channel… Thanks for sharing 😛
An overall big picture is too important NOT to watch and learn. Thank you and thumb up for you as now i understand better of the firmware on 3 D printer. I am NOT new in firmware update and configure but i am new in 3 D printing and boy boy it is fascinating and fun to learn and make thing. I had bought the Ender 3 S1 and definitely will update to Klipper and a touch screen using an old Android phone.
