@@z-made you are welcome sir, I'll pop up now and then, I just got a sonic pad for my cr6-se, I'll be taking a closer look at the other videos to optimize it. I tried to run klipper on a Rpi 4, no luck, couldn't find or tune the machine, there is hardly anyone online that goes into detail when it comes to the cr6-se, thankfully I got the sonic pad working out of the box, although didn't notice any improvements in term of speed like you mentioned. so yeah, I'll be sticking around here until I get my printer to print reliably and fast.
Great video! I am in the process of building my first Voron (kinda) Enderwire from an OG for me, E3V2, aka "Ole Betty." My first build from the ground up. I am in the calibration stage and MACROS.
Once again great job!! I’ve got to hand it to you, you come up with the best videos I’ve seen. Nobody else has so much information for us Sonic Pad users. We’ve got to stick together. I was thinking of a great Sonic Pad video, if your taking requests. How about a video on setting up a remote connection, on your home network, with the Sonic Pad, just an idea…??? I still can’t figure out what password that Sonic Pad is looking for, when your setting up a remote connection. Keep up the awesome work that you do. You’ve got one devoted viewer here.
Hey Robert glad to see you back! thank you for all the kind comments! that's a great idea for a video, and I will definitely try to get that out soon, just wanted to let you know that I'm currently working on a video about designing for FDM printing using Fusion 360 I hope it will be out by Friday, I'm planning to put out a series on designing using fusion 360, I really hope that this is still something that interests you, I'm kinda hoping to take the channel in the general direction of creation and making stuff using 3d printing, what's your opinion? is this something you think might work?
@@amrmedic2009 Hey Robert, I saw your response in my bell icon but it wouldn't let me respond, I don't know some weird glitch, first of thank you very much for all your kind comments I appreciate it a lot, second the thing with Fusion 360 is it's free for personal use, so as long as your not using it for a business I think its an awesome powerful tool but on the other hand tinkercad is free but limited in the functionality, truth is I your right there is only so much I can do on the sonic pad and I would really love to contribute as much value to my viewers as I can, I have a degree in industrial design and learned cad in university, and I feal that I have sufficient skills to really bring some value to the community with this skill I find fusion 360 is a great balance of functionality and simplicity, and as long as people aren't running a business with it its, free, on to of that i'm not familiar with the ins and outs of tinkercad, but that is definitely something i want to brush up on and Mabey do some videos about in the future, i appreciate your input and it makes me happy to hear that you find value from my videos Robert, i hope you take a look at the new one i'm putting out (hopefully on friday) and let me know what you think and where to improve
I didn’t know that Fusion 360 was free for personal use. Truth be told. I’ve always wanted to learn Fusion 360. I have been into 3d printing now a little over a year now, mostly tearing the darn things apart and putting them back together. 😁 I have learned quite a bit on how they work, that’s for sure. I just started using, and learning, Klipper, it’s definitely a different beast. So now it’s about time to start learning CAD. I’ve leaned a lot about tuning, thanks to a few of your videos. I think I’ve got my printer.cfg all tuned up, so now it’s about time to get use to running Klipper. So on with the Fusion 360 videos😁
Hey Robert, Ya for sure I apologize for the oversite, I'm kinda new to the youtube thing, thanks for reminding me! I just put all the links in the description, let me know if I missed something
thanks for the vid. a question about the start print macro. do i need to change the nozzle and bed temp everytime manually because there default 190 or default 60 in there? thanks for the answer
Hey there turion b, the answer might depend on what printer you're using, but in general once you configure your macro and save it to your printer config file your good to go😊
Hey there Frank, Truth is I cant assume to be familiar enough with it to give you an honest opinion ( Kingroon KP3S v2 Klipper version) because I haven't gotten to play around with it ...yet. However, as far as I understand if you happen to be living in the US, they sold out of the first run (what I heard) so it might be a bit difficult to get ahold of, but aside from that, as far as I know, this is an awesome printer if you love to tinker around and mod. I was wondering... what brought you to this specific printer? and how much experience do you have with 3d printing? if you don't mind me asking
how do you disable macros? The one in particular is when I rooted my K1 Max it changed the purge settings. I can turn it off for that session but I've yet to find a way to fully remove it or at least have it disabled so I don't need to worry about it messing up my print. How do I do that? I'm running Mainsail.
@@GeorgeDotExe_ I found it, you had to go into the KAMP settings... so now it doesn't do that line BUT, it does no purge line at all once I remarked out that setting.
@@97JoMiller oh, you haven't mentioned that you're using kamp, what purge method were you using? Line or voron logo? If it doesn't purge at all anymore you should go in your slicer, machine gcode, start gcode and check if you have the purge line gcode.
I cannot paste the macro in my printer config. It gives me errors and wont let me update. I also tried to put it in the mainsail config but that file says read only for some odd reason. Any idea why mine is doing this? This is the error I get when trying to paste the macro into my printer config: Source contains parsing errors: '/home/biqu/printer_data/config/printer.cfg' [line 11]: 'TURN_OFF_HEATERS ' [line 12]: 'CANCEL_PRINT_BASE ' [line 13]: 'G0 Z{z_safe} F3600 ; move nozzle up ' [line 14]: 'G0 X{x_safe} Y{y_safe} F20000 ; move nozzle to remove stringing ' [line 15]: 'M107 ; turn off fan ' [line 16]: 'G90 ; absolute positioning ' [line 17]: 'G0 X60 Y{max_y} F3600 ; park nozzle at rear '
@@z-made I do notice it the odd time too but it's your content and personality I'm here for which is helping me a lot. Most do a certain amount of hand movement and it helps some who are chatting to a camera feel more comfortable. People have to realise your sitting in a room with lights and a lens pointed at you, your not having a conversation with anyone. Keep up the great work mate.
Would make a great drinking game, drink every time there’s a finger point and a head tilt. Ha ha. But all that aside, the contact really is on point. Thanks!
Hey Max, I understand your frustration, and your right I forgot to add the links in the description, I just popped them in there if you still want to check them out
