You are easily one of my favorite 3D printer channels! Not only do you somehow make videos that come out just in time for me to do upgrades, but you actually put the effort in to make your videos flow nicely. I can't tell you how often I see a 30+ min long video that could have easily been 10 minutes with some basic editing. Thank you for making helpful content that is engaging and entertaining!

The ender 3 especially the s1 is a perfect platform to really master the basic concepts of 3d printing. I know some people talk crap on the ender 3, but I have mine so dialed in it's insane and it gave me such a good platform to springboard off to other models of printers now. The ender 3 will always be great

New subscriber after watching this. Really well done and explanations were very well done and easy to under stand. I just got a BTT Pad 7 and have it all hooked up and was searching youtube for exactly this and found yours. The Klipper plug-in is now in the marketplace and easy to find. Any chance you might beable to do a video about the different Klipper setting and what they do and how to adjust them for better speeds and print quality? I'm having a hell of a time getting mine to come out decent. Thanks again and keep up the great content.------- Johnny.

One of the first things I found is Klipper does not understand G29 to to bed meshing. That was the first macro I created. did a little comment # Marlin Compatibility # in my printer.cfg file to add GCode that Marlin knows, but Klipper doesn't :) I was able to find both plugins in Cura Marketplace.. I'd previously used Octoprint so remote control was an absolute must for me when I moved to Klipper. I found letting Klipper do most of the advanced features, like using Klippers firmware retraction, pressure advance, input shaping, and not having Cura push these settings across not only made slicing quicker, and created smaller GCODE files, but also resulted in better prints as the optimised settings in the actual firmware took over. This is a huge advantage with Klipper over Marlin as it is a lot easier, using an outboard device (such as a Raspberry Pi) to do all the processing instead of it all being hardcoded and running on the printer MCU. I know Octoprint does some GCode processing and with plugins can simplify the code Marlin has to process, but Klipper just takes this to the next level as it is baked into the firmware

Like this video very much. It opens the eyes for different setup. I use Cura on RPI400 where I save stl files over Samba service remotely from other PC having Fusion.360. From RPI400 I send GCODE to Octoprint comnected to one of many printers in my small farm. I am looking for architecture where I can use Sonic pad with the clipper instead of each printer dedicated RPIs but still having ease of slicing all the job by Cura.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:26 🖨️ *Cura and Clipper can be optimized for seamless collaboration, enhancing 3D printer performance.* 01:00 🧠 *Cura, optimized for Marlin, may need adjustments for Clipper compatibility due to differences in G-Code flavor.* 02:24 ⚙️ *Fine-tune Cura settings for Clipper by adjusting options like coasting, acceleration, and jerk control.* 04:47 🔄 *Clipper may not recognize certain commands (e.g., m600). Use macros from the Clipper Community to enable these features.* 06:39 🛠️ *Moonraker Connection Plugin streamlines the process by allowing direct uploads from Cura to the printer, eliminating the need for SD cards.* 07:55 🧰 *Clipper Settings Plugin in Cura provides an intuitive interface for easy customization of printer settings without manual config file editing.* 08:49 🚀 *Increase print speed gradually by 50 mm/s to find the optimal speed for your specific 3D printer.* Made with HARPA AI

I was getting better quality prints using SoftFever now renamed to Orca Slicer plus seems a lot simpler than cura. Could you make a video on calibration with klipper start to finish? Klipper prints a LOT slower than Cura for some reason. In Cura I specifically set the print speed at 120mm/s but Klipper prints at 60, similar problems with initial layers; I set them to 60 but Klipper starts at 20, then 40 for a bit. Eventually after a few layers it does get up to the 120 that I originally set, but I just wonder what initial settings mess with the first layers that much. Does anyone have any ideas?
@SmarK2K

first layers have separate settings, also for speed, cuz it is meant to be printed slower being the "foundation" to the entire object

Nothing wrong with using curas acceleration control. You can’t customize perimeter acceleration in klipper. The acceleration setting in klipper is just for the max limits.

I haven't watched the entire video yet, and I do appreciate the fact that you made this tutorial, however, in the future when you do videos like this please try to eliminate all fof the opening dialog and just start teaching. The first 2:30+ of the video isn't necessary. Too many aspiring RU-vidrs are following the failed formula of television media, which includes long introductions, which really are just filler to lower production costs for studios. One of the best ways to grow an audience is to get to the information immediately. Show people what your made of before they have a chance to click to the next video. I hope you take this advice in the spirit that it's offered.
