I've had a few of my experiments be sticky or otherwise undesirable after they dried. I put packing tape stickers over them. It seals in the stickiness and adds a lot of interest. I love your techniques and certainly will be using them soon! I have about a ream (or more!) of old medical report papers I am going to play with. They have sensitive personal info on them so they are great for journaling! Great way to make the info secure!
The secret ingredient in children's bubbles is glycerine. Glycerine helps to keep bubbles suspended longer because glycerin makes water wetter. You can buy glycerine at any supermarket, Wal-Mart, ect. It's sold as vegetable glycerine and is only a couple bucks. All you need is a couple drops to a cup of water. Also works great when thinning down acrylic paint by improving paint flow because the glycerine helps to break the surface tension more than compared to water alone. Hope this helps and happy creating 😊
I have to do a project in history and i thought about those techniques. I need to do the project on a big carton and i think it will look so good and historyc if i do it like this but i dont know what color should i buy the paper(carton). Give me an opinion please for the carton color white or light brown and for the technique which one should i do??
Stunning! I've achieved some pretty amazing results with paper dying myself... And it's just so much fun, I don't even care what I'm going to do with them afterwards 😊❤
These are so beautiful. The bunched up plastic wrap reveal made me gasp, it looks like gemstones! the sharply geometric pattern reminds me of my experiments with bubbles!
I have made bubble paper, but certainly as not as nice as yours. I am new to your channel, I am a former fine jewelry artist but have turned to mixed media. I strive to use my own papers and have a nice stash of Silk Fusion, momigami and Joomchi papers. I don't throw anything away that I feel I can use. I am always looking for new techniques and look forward to seeing more of your channel. I am not a junk journal artist but rather display single mixed media pieces in our local at gallery. We are retired -- living in a small townhome currently. Will be happy to see more of your work.
Thanks so much for that sweet comment, I took two years of jewelry classes and had so much fun, how cool would it be to mix up ideas and techniques from both things and display them, mixed media and fun jewelry style techniques and what ever yr heart desires! 💪🏻😘
What a difference the type of paper made to the end result. Thanks for showing these experiments. All of them will have their uses I'm sure. The one with ink looks like ostrich skin! I wonder what it looks like on fabric???
❤ J adore votre travail, J et ne imaginais pas pouvoir utiliser des matières comme le café, thé et autres. J AI très envie d essayer, merci beaucoup, Daisy Schauwers
