This is SO cute!! My son isn't in school yet but he does a preschool reading program & parents were asked to bring treats for kids. Im 100% doing this!!
Hi! So excited for you to try this craft! I hope the kids in the reading program enjoy them. My kids are teenagers, so they roll their eyes when I make them take treats to school for their teachers. 😂
Thinking of doing this lovely cardigan with puffy more loop yarn, the one with 2 sides.. wonder how would it be compared to the yarn you're working with, size, instruction, and number of yarn, wise!
Hi! I haven’t worked with the puffy more loop yarn before, so hard for me to advise. Since you say the yarn contains 2 colors, I wonder if it was previously called “Graph It Loop Yarn”. I’ve worked with that one to make a scarf. If it’s the same yarn, the loops are smaller, so the pattern I provided will most likely be off. I do provide a gauge that 5 stitches equals 4 inches. Five stitches across and five rows high will yield you 4” x 4” square. Make a 5 stitch square with the more puffy yarn and see how close or off it is to a 4 inch square. Then If you’re in the mood to do some crazy math conversions, you may be able to make the pattern work. 😆. When I worked with the Graph It version of the dual colored yarn, my scarf turned out way thicker than the single color. Something to keep in mind if you decide to proceed with the More Puffy. Your cardigan may end up being very thick. Wish I could’ve been more helpful!! ❤️
Hi! No need to close off the side panels. I wrote the pattern so that it’s one big piece without side seams. You only need to close off the shoulder seams and the cardigan should at that point resemble a vest. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need me to be more clear in my explanation. ❤️
Your video was so easy to follow, thank you! I watched four other videos to try to make a dish scrubbie but none of them clicked for me until I found yours. These are going to be fun Christmas presents to make.
Hi! So happy you found the video easy to follow. I gave these out as Christmas gifts to my girlfriends and the teachers at school last year. Huge hit! Hope yours are a huge hit too! ❤️
Hi! I’ve used unbleached liners before also. It’s certainly an option if you’d like to skip the staining. I found staining with coffee yields a deeper brown color and you’re able to vary the shades which adds a great visual element to the finished look. Hope that helps! ❤️
I like your crafty treat idea. Thank you for sharing it with us. I don’t have trick or treaters where I live ; however, it’s a great festive idea for a gathering, party, or Halloween dinner for Family guests. Thank you. 11:05
@@CraftingWithYoo Yes, I have a few in mind and an idea to give some as gifts this Halloween 🎃 👻 Season. I believe that the lady who lives next door to my son and his wife will appreciate them because she has a Child Day Care Service that she operates in her home. Last year, I made Spiders 🕷 with felt, pompoms, pipe cleaners, Elmer’s Glue-All, and some ‘ googly eyes. She loved them. I will have to show her how to make them and your broom stick treats . Thank you 🙏. Yesterday, I made pompom ghosts and a Pom 🕷 spider 🕷 for my daughter- in-law because she said that they were traveling out of state and she needed something to attach to their baggage 🧳 so that when she sees them she can spot their bags right away. She was delighted with her little Halloween gifts. I believe that these will be a delight also.) Again, I Thank you 🙏 for your wonderful idea.
Hi! I hope you and your grandkids have an amazing time with this craft! Here's a download link for the gift tags. Enjoy! ❤️ Halloween Spider Gift Tags: bit.ly/4gA4bxU
I used the link she gave it's not highlighted because of You Tube Rules but if you type it in just as it is you will see the tags pop up. They are adorable.

Hi! I’ve never tried it, but I know baking soda and vinegar are used together often for cleaning. I don’t think adding vinegar will hurt anything. Let me know the results if you try it! ❤️
Hi! The care instructions provided by the manufacturer states “machine was cold, gentle cycle. Dry on low heat. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean “. Personally, I wash mine in cold water using the gentle cycle. I line dry the blanket to ensure it doesn’t skew or distort in any way. Hope this helps! ❤️
Hi! I purchased the metal sheet from Home Depot, but it should be available from other hardware stores. Here’s a link to a similar one: www.homedepot.com/p/Master-Flow-24-in-x-36-in-Galvanized-Steel-Flat-Sheet-GFS24X361P/202191776 I purchased the magnets from Amazon: GRTARD 12pack Magnetic Clips... www.amazon.com/dp/B093GZDXY2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Hope this helps! ❤️
Hi! The color is “Burgundy” and is one of my favorite colors of loop yarn. Here’s a link to the Joann’s website where I purchased mine. If you don’t have a Joann’s near you it’s also available on Amazon, but at a higher price. Hope this helps! ❤️ www.joann.com/bernat-alize-ez-loop-blanket-18yds-jumbo-polyester-yarn/16301483.html
Hi! I was trying to think of the best way to pin it to a shirt or lapel after reading your comment. My advice is to wrap the “stem” of the flower with floral tape and then use a straight pin (the kind used for boutonnières) to attach. This will cause small holes to be made, but I think it’s the most secure way to attach the money flower. Don’t want it falling off and getting lost! Hope this helps! ❤️
Hi! I haven’t had a jar crack yet. Most jars used in the US commercial food industry is soda lime glass which can tolerate hot water. Make sure your jars are room temperature before pouring in hot water to avoid thermal shock. Hope this helps! ❤️
Hi! I currently don’t have any kids patterns.😔 Reaching way back to what I learned in pattern making, it’s difficult to adjust an adult pattern down to kids sizing because body proportions are different. Children tend to have smaller chest measurements compared to their waists and vice versa for adults. If you want to make this cardigan for a child (would be totally cute!), it might work as the fit is pretty boxy. I would start by measuring a cardigan that already fits your child and use that as a guide. Take the width of the cardigan’s back panel and knit loops until you reach the same measurement. From there, follow the fit checks to ensure you’re on the right track. Sorry i couldn’t be of more help! ❤️
Great instructions! So clear and easy to understand! I'm going to use a slightly more abrasive netting, if I can find such a thing, to improve dry skin and stimulate circulation. Thanks again!
After hot water releases the label, a bit of mineral spirits on a paper towel quickly and easily removes the adhesive residue. Incidentally, this is best done in your garage or outdoors. If done indoors, dry paper towels soaked in mineral spirits outdoors.
I really like your video.. it's very informative and thorough, showing every step and detail to make a perfect, beautiful cardigan. I will try to make it soon after I finish working on my blanket Thank you 🥰
Hi! I have a different loop yarn blanket video which uses a cable knit design. That blanket only needs about 6 skeins of yarn. For this throw with the ripple design, you will need 8-9 skeins of loop yarn. The ripple design requires more yarn than a cable knit design. Hope this helps! ❤️
I followed your instructions and it worked exactly as you said. I had some "goo-is-gone" to get rid of any glue residue. Excellent results. Thanks so much for sharing! Luv from Alberta Canada. 😊
Hi! It’s totally your preference! I like to use fishing wire for leis because it’s invisible and floral wire when making bouquets. You can use floral wire for leis, but make sure you’re careful about placement of the wire ends. Don’t want them poking anyone! ❤️
I love how you instruct. I can't remember what type bills you said to use in another video. I believe you said not to use new bills which is what I always ask for. Lol. I think you had a name for the particular bills that fold more nicely. Thank you.
I like to use what I call “newer” bills. Ones that have been in circulation for a short amount of time. I find they are a little easier to fold than brand new bills. Hope this helps! ❤️
Is it 6 yards for each ribbon with 2 rolls total so 12 yards for one color since you’re doubling it??? I just bought 6 yards and cut into 2 since you said we need to double it and it’s super short -did I do it wrong?
Hi! Oh no! You’re correct that it’s a total of 12 yards for each color. Two pieces of 6 yards long ribbon for each color. I apologize if that was unclear in the video. All is not lost! You can try either gluing or sewing the 2 pieces of yarn together to make it the 6 yards you’ll need. As you’ll be weaving the ribbons together it should stay together without separating and if you add in the roses, it will mask where you glued/sewed. Hope this helps! ❤️
Hi! If you have another ball of yarn available: 1, Keep the last loop on the working yarn unknitted in the row. 2. Count out one loop on the new ball of yarn and start knitting with loop number 2. Knit as normal. 3. For the last loop in the row and the first loop from the new ball of yarn that you didn’t use, snip the middle string holding the loop together to undo it. Tie the yarns together to secure the 2 balls of yarn together. Hope this helps! ❤️
