Found you through the Something Rotten Podcast, and I'm so glad I did. This is something special. The vision and level of effort put to screen here is astounding. The way you've eloquently put into words and visuals a feeling that is both way too familiar and something I still struggle to fully narrow down myself, all framed in a video about one of my favorite games of all time, is truly inspiring. You "Care", and that's rad. Can't wait to dive into your other works. Maybe it's time to revisit my own unfinished writings. Take care of yourself.

You nailed the fact that Alan hadn't experienced this in real life, and it works because it fits the story. It gets really obvious when Rose gets ahold of the keyboard.....in night springs.

The part in the beginning where timmm talks about not reading much because you had no effect on those worlds so he would write to have agency might perfectly encapsulate why I love writing so much even though I barely ever read. Great video!

I love your videos, and love Remedy's games, so I was super excited to find this in my subscription feed! This one started to lose me a couple times, but kept pulling me back, too. As always, it's a fun watch, but I definitely didn't expect that last 20% or so to hit me in the soul like it did. I felt tears coming, even. It's a change in Perspective. Love it. I've gotta say, I am thrilled and surprised always that your videos no matter which game you discuss always end with me thinking "i should accept my creativity, let it flow, let it ramble on and on, let it be silly and goofy, let it be serious" and i hope you follow your own advice :) and also the remedy verse is probably one of my favourite things that come out of video games

AW had the same effect on me ... The long nights, paragraphs and paragraphs of text, the rivers of coffee and excitement of hammering away at a keyboard called to me, to that lifestyle. I didn't make it. I lacked darkness. Or rather, I was pushing the darkness away. My creativity comes from a dark place. Sometimes I let it take over and it takes me on such incredible journeys. Some exciting, some touching, and some horrifying. I realized that being creative is not something you do, creative is something you are; writing or not writing, the darkness is always there. I use it in my day job to build wondrous things for profit. I would like to try writing again, but I'd need to change how I look at it.

MAGNIFICENT!! I do wish for a 16:9 aspect ratio version, so my not-OLED TV doesn't get confused by the missing pixels. >_> Edit: though it seems to be RU-vid doing it, doing slow colorshifts in the blank area, something they didn't do until recently.

Wow this is....something....im not gonna lie this entire video reminds me of a bad screen play. Youve got some solid ideas in here but your surface level analysis of the creative process of remedy mixed with the strange autobiography you added really did not resonate with me....i wish you all the best of luck though. You obviously have a LOT of talent and passion i hope to see it honed to a keener edge.
