Are you a frustrated guitar player? Been playing guitar for years but are having a hard time understanding guitar scales or even guitar chords? Or when to use them for guitar improvisation? How is your Music Theory? Do you yearn to understand how Modes work? Want to learn when to use a Pentatonic Scale vs a Major Scale or Minor scale? Heard about the CAGED chord system but don't truly understand the guitar yet? Want to learn all the best guitar tips and tricks in a truly understandable manner, and better yet play guitar with confidence? Well, you have found the right place.
My name is Ian Stich. I truly understand what is going on in the mind of our favorite guitar players and also what is in the mind of a guitar student. I invented the NeverLost Pentatonic series to show students how easy the guitar can be. Let's take those guitar tabs you have been learning and become confident, educated guitar creators.
11 years of noodling in different instruments especially guitar but it s just lately that i find out that most solos are just arpeggios of the actual chord progression maybe you can add some chromatic , diatonic or pentatonic flavor to it . Otherwise the foundation us the chords.
This really helped connect a few dots that have not really made sense to me related to CAGED plus other stuff like how Hendrix mixes the chords with the pentatonic which I thought was like crazy good
Whenever this guy plays his version of Sugaree it brings tears to my eyes, cause it cause to remind me of a childhood friend who I used to go watch Grateful Dead shows in the upstate New York area, the Rochester area to be precise! But he died of congestive heart failure when he was 18?!
Thank you kindly for your time. I have been looking for this explanation to soloing for a long long time… Darn it, this easy… PS. side question, did you at onetime also teach math?
Complicated. As a total beginner who played few chords back in the 80s and now decided to learn to play a guitar again seems complicated, but maybe with time I'll get to a stage where I'll be learning arpeggios.
I’d wondered what ol’ Hopper had been up to since we last saw him on Stranger Things. Come to find he is dropping mind blowing tips on guitar on a channel that deserves to be at a million subs. Outside of the knowledge aspect, it’s the genuine personality that comes off the screen & hugs the player with encouragement. Great channel my friend! 🤘
Thank you so much, this is good training. You are speaking directly to me because I find myself in the same position you spoke about .Guitarist make it look so easy and I keep trying all the time still I cannot do what they are doing and don't seem to figure it out. THANKS for the helpful and encouraging words.
Does “home” mean where the cord progression starts? So if I’m in the key of G but I start my cord progression with B minor then I would be in the mode of “the 3rd”
