Jordan Peel has a profound sense of what cinema and storytelling means. I like his non pretentious approach to this art form. That's what greats like Scorsese and Tarantino are like.
Kinda sick of everyone sucking fury road off . It was a real good film when it came out , it was also obvious when it came out it was a progressive left propaganda film , albiet a good one.
The thing cant copy non-organic stuff like earrings, caps on teeth, thing like that... Why does everyone say childs is the monster at the end when you can clearly see his gold tooth!

What happened to aregorns horse? They were surrounded at the end, he gave his speech about "but it is not this day" but when he says "for frodo" he's on foot. Where'd the horse go?
Most articles and declassified material does state that there were many shark attacks on uss Indianapolis survivors. It was not just sharks taking dead bodies. And many were not successful in fighting them off.
John Carpenter stated many times when he was asked who was the thing in the the end and most of the time he answered with "I don't know, i don't know". Later on he would say as it says in the tweet "Yes, one of them was a thing" with him being asked the same question he said "I don't know, MacReady is the thing". Later on in the same interview when he was pressed about the same question he stated "I'm just bullshitting about MacReady being a thing at the end. I have no idea. Nobody does" Producer Stuart Cohen has reinforced that while shooting, they had no clear answer on if one of them was infected in the end. Carpenter has stated the 2002 video game was an in cannon continuation of the movie and it is the true sequel. In the game Childs is pronounced to be dead frozen in the snow and human, Mac is missing but appears alive in the end rescuing the game's hero and helping destroy the thing in boss form. If Mac was a thing he would have no motivation to save the character and help destroying a part of itself, so you can safely assume he's human and Carpenter has apparently signed off they are both human.

I prefere Real Film an Real Explosion on Camera. Cgi is nice. But if the film is 85% Cgi. D´ont make a Film make a good Anime, insted of creating a fals real world. Ore 100% Cgi. Gandalf crying in a Greenscreenroom.
For me Aliens is better than Alien. That said I completly dislike the sequels 3 and 4 as well as the prequels for different reasons. That the Xenomorphs are genetically created by an android that was created by humans which were created by the Engineers is just to much of a construct. It would have been better to just leave the Xenomorphs as an alien species.
Vigo saying that they are cursed is really just an excuse isn't it? It was literally his son that caused this entire event. It's not like outside forces sort of influenced the kid and John wick to be enemies, the kid just straight up decided to kill his dog. I love the point though that John is just taking back the Empire that he gave Vigo. That is actually kind of profound, since most people think John is just going nuts over a dog and a car, which suck, but aren't worth human life.
The walking on snow is why i always found it silly when people were upset at the hobit. To be able to step on lighr fulffy snow that people less then half your weighr are sinking neck deep in without leaving even the slightest foot print is just as impossible he could have walked on water in lotr and no one would have been upset. But steping on a falling object some how crossed a line. Wich is made even funnier when there was a tiktok trend a few years ago that had people beliving normal humans could do a double jump step thing across water.
Could you imagine if both Childs and Mac were BOTH assimilated off-screen. And them coming back together, Childs saying you're the only one left, and then sharing a celebratory drink together and Mac chuckling because the thing won/one. That would blow my mind too.
Just watched this with my wife. Her first time through the first two ‘films’. They are both films. 😂. She was terrified from the dream scene on. As intended.
I don't think that was a "you know what? on second thought..." look. That was a "why are you testing your luck with me?" or maybe a plain ol' "are you f'ing kidding me?" look, especially since Ripley showed the queen she had a flame-thrower moments earlier, briefly shooting it into the air.
Was there ever an explanation as to why the lab clocks were 25 minutes slow? The lab can't travel at 88mph relative to the earth's surface like a car can so it's not the same time-travel mechanism. Since he wasn't there to see the result, was it some slowly progressing experiment?
