This consolidation is actually a huge benefit for Nio. They are already ahead when it comes to technology and infrastructure. They are learning what it takes to win the EV game, while others are retreating.
Agreed. Enjoy your trip. I am invested with Tesla and I am invested with Nio. Hybrid cars are just a short or medium interim step. Yes interim step. The ultimate end goal is Pure EV. Hybrid is just only a way to get there. Also - the successful EV companies will become so much more than car companies. Tesla an Electric Power and AI company. And Nio the same also. Agreed. It is important to think about long-term future. Not just 1-5 years, but most important 10-20 years. All the great companies and all the great investments also took a long time to get there. e.g. Apple, Nvidia and many many more.
I think this step was necessary as next year partners will start delivering swappable battery cars and they will need a huge network. And I think now NIO is delaying the manufacturing of bss with their own resources because they want to optimize the bss network they have with the new Onvo cards and reduce costs
Marcel, correct me if im wrong but didnt Geely partnered with nio on battery swap ? Has now zeekr given up on that or there will be other Geely brands into bat swap like volvo ?
Totally agree. The grid balancing is outstanding. Currently every country is struggling with this, and the Power swap stations can support stabilize the grids!! 🤯
Es ist so traurig, NIO hätte es in der Hand gehabt einen weltweiten Industriestandard bei Battery Swap zu setzen, schafft es aber nicht Mal Intern, Onvo Nio inkompatibel, nur weiter so, hat sich schon mit verschieden Zapfhähnen bewert.
yes, for NIO its becoming a lighter asset while retaining high margins. Its also about scale and furthermore about timing of growth. At all makes sense ..

It’s not a good idea to have different types of batteries. They needed to setup a standard for all car producers and now they need to split batteries for nio and for onvo is very sad to hear this…
