This channel is about my kayak fishing adventures in South East Wisconsin. I target Smallmouth bass, Largemouth bass as well as Northern Pike and Muskie. Areas I fish from the Kayak include the Fox River, Milwaukee River, Big Muskego Lake, Browns Lake, Eagle Lake and more.
There will likely be other areas besides Southeast Wisconsin, so watch for new content from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I practice CPR (Catch, Photo and Release) and exclusively use artificial lures and bait. Some of my favorite lures are shallow crank baits and wake baits.
Used a cart for a year and went over to landing gear it’s 1000% easier lol I just roll it all the way into the water, paddle out a little bit, pop the wheels off and lock em in and then when I’m coming in to dock I just put the wheels on while in the the water and roll up the dock. The thing that sucks tho is the landing gear takes up some space and it’s more stuff to get caught up on.
Have to disagree, you can't do that except on deep water launches, most of the more rustic kayak launches you would break the landing gear trying to launch it in 6 inches of water. You simply cannot do what you said in like 90% of situations not to mention landing gear makes the kayak nose heavy. But if you only launch in those mostly perfect locations and it's working for you, more power to you 😁
@@BassManStrikes I feel ya, most of the launches in my area are normal boat ramps or sand/mud. Neither are very “rough” lol. But I have launched in some shallow water with no issues. I suppose it really depends on where you launch out from.
No, unfortunately, it won't work with usb c mics. You have to plug the receiver into adapter. However, it will pair with some Bluetooth mics directly like the dji mic2 transmitter.
I literally just bought this camera yesterday after i lost my hero 10 gopro on memorial day. Thanks for showing us this quick adapter and where to get it. Amazon out there trying to charge double of that. Now i can get back to filming my fishing adventures.
I'm finally getting around to installing the haswing on the newport mount. Did you do anything to take up the slop between the shaft and hole it mounts in? I measured it and my newport shaft is about .050 larger than the haswing shaft. Cats and dogs, I know.
most likely it's airtight and stop people from exposing it to air as temperature changes can cause condensation. Don't want that fogging up the lens when you're scuba diving with it.
Got mine yesterday but been too busy to use, tried it out with onboard recording and its great, a lot smaller than it looks in videos which is also a good thing

You can get filters that will fit but not sure about their waterproof rating and your warranty after you break the seal . From what I heard in another video they will replace it once within the first year if you break it . Not sure I wanna try this until after my warranty runs out .
I added spruce as a bottom shelf and a black roll down shade as a front cover and it made it disappear. I like the spruce on the sides might have to add that to mine 👌🏽
I bring it if I need to portage. Otherwise why bring it if you know the river etc and you don't need to portage a dam etc? Just to get out along the river I don't need the cart. Maybe if I was going down river and someone was picking me up but I never do that, I always go up river and then just go back to the launch site.
I usually bring it back to the truck as it's almost always close, no sense to haul a cart around if you don't have to. The only time I bring it along is if there is a portage, then it just sits in the rear tank well with wheels up. Sometimes I lock it to a bridge tree etc if the launch is really far from the parking.
It is easier. You literally push the yak into the water step on pull the landing gear up and go on about your day. Instead of pulling the wheels out from under and carrying them to the truck. Not like a cart is that much harder to use but saying landing gear isnt easier is just your opinion. Id have been setting down ready to go by the time you were tugging your cart out. Now half a min wouldnt matter to me normally and for the price difference id probably even recommend a cart. But landing gear is faster taking in and taking out. It is what it is. Literally just put them down paddle to shore step off pull to truck theres no pulling up on cart and strapping it down. I literally have my yak loaded and rods up by the time my buddy is strapping his down. Now literally its like a 2 min difference. Isnt that huge at the end of the day and landing gear is expensive i say get $50 cart put the rest into a new rod. But landing gear is easier and faster.however slight it may be.
You understand you don't have to bring it back to the vehicle. That's just how I do it when I have to move the truck anyway. I don't pull the cart from under. I slide the kayak off like a trailer because the cart has center bunks. I went thru two sets of landing gear, and this cart is easier it's not just my opinion. For one, it's perfectly balanced, which makes moving it long distances super easy, even fully loaded with propel drive, batteries, and all other gear. 2ndly I can adjust the position of the cart by sliding it to the front or rear to make loading into a truck or trailer easier . Landing gear is horrible at anything other than perfectly smooth deep water launches. If the launch is shallow and muddy you are pretty much lifting your kayak near shore on each side and then dragging it in...if the landing gear encounters any small obstacles it does a springing action which is detrimental. So in the end, you are just basing your whole argument on your opinion which is exactly what you accused me of doing ....
I grew up there and even lived right across the highway from the Landing for a couple years when I was in highschool. It was called Memory Lane Resort back then. I can attest, the crayfish problem is real in that area of the river. Throw a minnow out and leave it on the bottom for 5 minutes and you'll bring back an empty hook. They are voracious eaters.
my one leaked!! not through the o ring it leaked into the electricals it melted the uv globe connection blew the house fuses never again , so i bought an oase secondhand with a prefilter can't be happier
It's a maker pipe kayak cart from a kit. Google maker pipe kayak cart. The kayak slides off and I bring the cart back to the truck, unless it's a long way back then I just put it upside down in the rear tank well.
It's easy if you have an impact wrench. It's just 6 bolts and it comes right off. Shouldn't be bad on a 2019, mine is a 2012 and it was pretty rusty LOL
