@@thejfrd2490 I agree. High angle rescues like that can be pretty difficult and honestly, you guys made it look a lot easier than what I’m sure it was.
I seldom see a department work so well together and do so in such an organized and calm way. Especially on a fire as tough as this one. Kudos to everyone for doing such a good job.
No amount of training will prepare you for every possible situation. In the end it's ingenuity, skill and co-operation among teams you rely on. This was very evident here. The psychological impact on the rescuers seeing this victim is intense. Hope the young man recovers as well as possible. I wish him the best. Greetings and respect from a retired German firefighter.
It takes special stanima of the most unique kind, physically, mentally, emotionally for what you do! The elite! So grateful for you, a true blessing from God!😊
I think the loader driver could have probably gotten out himself safely without calling FD. But I suppose an abundance of caution was in play here. Glad nobody got hurt. Ladder trucks are very handy for sure.
The way those firefighter worked impressed me a lot. Quick, calm and already know what they’re doing. God bless and those firefighter. 🙏. Also very cool the way the cut the side of that vehicle 🙏
Jeepers! How friggen fast were they going? That car came off it's rear wheels & had to be almost standing on it's bumper when it hit to get a dent like it has in the front.
OMG poor pt care. No ALS interventions while pts were in vehicle screaming. not a BP cuff vitals 02....nothing until in the back of the ambulance. (no on backing the other ambulance up) No one appears in charge just a group all doing their own thing. Not one white hat.
You are showing your ignorance...watch again...there are multiple chiefs there handling business...This extrication went extremely fast...you cannot do patient care without getting in the way, we would rather get them out fast and treat them, rather than do useless patient care and prolong the extrication... But thanks for your input!
From the UK, retired Ff, a very complicated extrication, would it have been easier to have removed the roof to give you more room and better access for the medics to monitor the casualties ? I'm not knocking you guys , you did a great job but here in the UK, we are always looking at ways for better access to the casualty for when the medics need to step in to monitor before extraction onto the trolley.
