In Malaysia, it's obligatory to get an STD test before before marrying someone, and you must get married within 3 months of the test or you will have to do the test all over again. And about the guy who doesn't pray, no, it's not okay. He will have to want to pray or you'll ended up mothering him. Trust me, living under the roof with someone who is brought up differently, will definitely require some time in order to adjust your lifestyle entirely; hygiene, house chores etc etc etc

For the sister that wants to get married with the dude that won't pray, girl if he doesn't commit to his lord how do you expect him to commit into a relationship with you? Like I understand the fact that sometimes we might experience lower imaan, but not praying is not a solution cuz at the end of the day, it's all a test from Allah swt. If you rly are into him and feel like he is the one pray for his soul and try to advise him on how to reconnect with his lord and become a better muslim, but at at the end of the day, he should be the one stepping for himself for his own sake. If he persists on sinning then that's up to him, and don't worry, because Allah has better plans for you. Hope it helped ❤

I've found that having a discussion early on in the relationship about how we will argue or "fight" is important. For example, I asked him "When you get upset with something I might say or do, or when we eventually disagree on something big and get into an argument, how do you usually react and respond during conflict?" He liked this discussion a lot because we all have different reactions and responses, so knowing these as soon as possible in a relationship is huge, that way we're both respecting each other and not triggering something too deep. Kinda like rules-of-engagement for an argument. We also practiced some mindfulness meditation together for fun and it helped, we used the book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels because we were both struggling with certain stresses. Or even going through a workbook together can be interesting. It's so important to know each other upfront as much as possible. I say have the difficult convos within the first couple months if possible.

For the wudu one I don’t advise anyone to hold their wudu for 12 hours. I’ve held my wudu for 12 hours in the masjid before bc I didn’t want to renew my wudu but that’s not GOOD. It can cause a infection, I would advise someone to already have their wudu on prior to wearing makeup and if they break their wudu i recommend wearing simple makeup like (mascara, blush, highlighter etc) so it can be easy to remove and reapply. In Dubai, we had to do medical tests and submit to the govt . They call us in and tell us about each other’s medical condition. They give us the green signal and only then can we proceed to marry 😊

About STDs. The thing is they are not only sexually transmitted. So also eg via blood. I’m a medical student, so I would not wonder if I got asked that question (of course in a honoured/ respectful way you know what I mean). A little cut I’m the finger (even tho wearing glothes, it happens so fast). So it’s just protection and keeping both healthy. So I think it is okay. It truly depends on the situation. And if you wonder to ask that question, there is a reason :)❤

About STD and genetic disorders I think it's better to test them before marriage, just to make sure As a medical I know STDs can come by many ways so it's better to be safe than sorry But if he is not virgin that's a big no for me, I know different people have different opinions about this but it's one of the sins I can't accept in my future husband I don't care that most of them are not, I'm just going to search until I found someone who is Not praying is a big no too Girls you need to put some standards and stick with them, you don't want to regret it after marriage

I would definitely ask for STD tests. I think that as long as you see it as a way of protecting yourself and your health instead of using it as a weapon against your partner it's fine. Obviously if you're asking for the STD tests is because you know/suspect they have been with other people and you're kind of OK with it if you're continuing the relationship. Just let them know that it's not because you want to expose them or their past (only God can judge). I would just have a calm and mature conversation explaining why I am asking for the tests and if my partner is mature enough, he should be understanding and willing to take the tests. It also works both ways, both partners need to check themselves, STDs can be transmitted (rarely) through other means than intercourse.

For the girl who asked about wudo and make-up..prayer is your priority- so you have to make your decisions based on it. Additionally, maybe it's good to start thinking about not using make-up at all😊❤ Much love!

I love perfumes and smelling good but then i also remember the hadith by the Prophet (pbuh) considering it not acceptable for women to be smelled by non mahram men when they pass them by... I do liberally spritz at home but in the hospital (i am doctor), i select perfumes with less projection and i do one spritz or two max on my neck on which the hijab scarf goes so only i get whiffs of my perfume or so i hope... May Allah forgive me ❤

In our culture, weddings are usually held at night and the bride usually spends the whole day getting ready (hair/makeup/dress). I like to think that I'd make my wudu before starting to get ready but then I'd have to break it at some point? And then how would I make my wudu again for say, magrib prayers?

Take wudu never hold it in If by holding it in you are more susceptible to yeast infection etc. Its not healthy to hold it in. Also you are not suppsed to have the urge to use the bathroom whilst in prayer. Hth😊

It is so cool in Dubai how u have prayer rooms everywhere, now that is life changing!!!! NGL i struggle praying but I guess everyone has their own journey with prayer.
