Inside my Santo Domingo Apartment | Living In Dominican Republic As An Expat 

Bro, you have a beautiful apartment. And I'm with you, I seriously dislike the term "third world." With you living in the Dominican Republic and with me having visited the Dominican Republic last year, I think we both can attest to, there are multiple places in the DR, that can rival some of the best places in the US. Truth be told, there are some place here in the US, that look "third world" don't get me started.....lol

Guys, I only pay $350 USD for my large apartment here in the Dominican Republic! It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Definitely, you should consider the Dominican Republic if you're thinking about a move to a peaceful country with a low cost of living.

I love the Dominican Republic it reminds me of my homeland the Philippines. My wife is Dominicana she’s from Santiago! We got condos in punta cana etc!

I’m from DR, I own a home there, but living in PA and I can tell you that every time I go over which is every December I think about moving over there . No stress living life , going to the beach any day I wish. Watching your videos have made really consider it. Here is working cooking cleaning go to be and do the same thing the next day. Always rushing and full if stress

Maaaan $1300 a month for that wooow!!! I am jealous. I live in Germantown, Maryland which is considered a suburb of Washington DC and there is an apartment complex around the corner from me that has a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit that cost about $3500 per month for rent. That is amazing what you pay for your condo per month. Amazing!!!

No my plans are to rent for a few months until I find the right vibe that fits for me and my wife. She love shopping and going to the mall, but me I just need a good cigar and a strong drink of whiskey and a swimming pool in the morning.

The only thing never ever get out of the shower and walk barefoot on the shiney tile floors. Slippery as wet ice. Oh man twice I broke my butt in the hotels. 😅 Nice place 👍

I pretty sure I know where it is.Let me tell you, a 3 bedroom with a balcony on both floors I would think goes for more than that. Yours is really nice. I owned a 3 bedroom about 3 blocks from Downtown Center. Sold to buy in Punta Cana. I miss being in the city sometimes... Thanks for sharing...

My wife and I just got back from celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary at Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo in Samana, Dominican Republic. That place was beautiful. The food was great and the service was top notch. Can't wait to go back. How close is the nearest beach from your area? If I convinced my wife, who's Dominican but born and raised in NY, to move out there when we retire in 8 years, we would definitely want to go to the beach often. Be safe!

Well, I'm Dominican and El Naco is considered a very very good (rich area). Glad that all has worked out. Good that you ran we are paying right now close to $3,200 in Boca. No, Dom. Rep. is not a 3rd world country. It's like every other, good places and bad places. You choose where you want to be. There is no other place like back home at the end of the day. Very honest review. I live in Santo Domingo myself. Piantini and Naco are top rated and most people living there also have cars. I like to walk and be near the Malecon and Zona Colonial. Gascue is nice. I live In LA espirilla and pay $850 for a 1 bedroom in a tower wirh all the amenities. I walk or Indriver everywhere.

I appreciate the tour of the crib. I'm presently purchasing a penthouse condo (3 level), ocean view, in Guayacanes. The beach is across the street and moreso private than public. This, in the US, wouldn't be possible for me yet, in the DR it is. Salute to those judging books by their cover and not taking their time to understand the paradise between the pages. Cheers to you and yours and hopefully run into you in the city sometime.

Great info bro, thanks for sharing and keeping it really real. I live in Los Angeles and I have 1 bedroom that rents for $2000 a month and the gas , electric and cable are another $300 a month. Your apartment in LA? Maybe $6000 , it’s furnished, split level , 2 balconies and lots of square footage. Nice place boss.

You can purchase a new or used portable tub that can be placed in and out of the shower.

Thanks for sharing the tour and price. I passed on the DR because of the bad press. I live in Montpellier, France, or the French Riviera and the rentals don't look half as great as your rental, although the prices are lower if you can get an apartment (Studios to rent 400-500 euros/buy 90,000-140,00 euros, 1 bedroom rentals 700-1000/buy 150,000 - 200,000 euros, 2 bedrooms rentals 900-above). The only bad thing is some lower-priced apartments look like dorms or low-income housing. France has strict rules. You either buy a home/apartment, rent Airbnb, learn French, get a job that comes with a Social Security number and then you can rent an apartment with a guarantor. France makes it difficult to get a place, but once you're in, it's hard to get you out. They even have a rule of no evictions during the Winter months. The only good thing about my area is little to no crime, and friendly people unless you live in Paris.
