I think that they should add that you can see other people’s gloves when walking around the map or after someone wins they can see their gloves when they show the winners
Im the type of person that studies and uses a game’s market/skin industry to its maximum potential, i have been playing c-ops for 6 years now and looking at all that shit that they are doing infuriates me. Literally fucking scrapping the idea of +5 year old rare skins to let people buy them any time they want, why? Cause there is a chance to make an occasional penny from bought credits. Hate to say it but c force tries everything to milk as much money as they possibly can from new players since 99% old players left the game already. I had never seen anyone addressing this particular issue and i’m more than happy that there are people caring about it. You seem like a really interesting person to chat about that with too.
I think that the marketplace is one of the only good things about the skins. I obviously understand your take on it and I relate to it, but I also think that there shouldnt be any restrictions on a community determined market like this. If devs were constantly offering the skins for a set price, then that'd be dumb, but with it being community driven, the value of the skins and the price of them on the market will adjust over time. With only beta having access to the market atp I dont think prices are representative, and even now some pass skins already eclipse the price of their original passes. Few of those skins look particularly amazing by modern standards, so few players are going to pick them under those pretends. Old Counter Strike and Standoff 2 skins have been able to rise to ridiculous prices under the same conditions, so I dont see any reason why that wouldnt be the case for C-Ops as well. Their supply is forever hard capped, and actually decreasing, because accounts that have them go inactive all the time. Eventually the demand will overtake the supply and from there on, those prices will rise. This is more of a long term thing tho. Especially currently, tons of players cash their skins out, because they prefer liquid currency over potential value, even if they are selling far under value. This is different for the case skins, which is one of the things I addressed in this video. I don't think your viewpoint of "milking money out of the playerbase" makes that much sense. While every company (especially one that offers a free service) has to do this to an extent, in order to stay afloat, I dont think it interferes with the rest of the game in c-ops' case. Some of the competitors are much worse in that regard. I do think tho, that constantly re-releasing the skins sucks for players who already supported the game years ago.. I understand CF's side of this too tho. They have either full time, or comissipn based designers creating unique artworks for them and they obviously want to make as much money from this initial investment as possible. Part of this is probably also how they want every skin to be available to a player somehow. They could see a skin ingame, which they can then buy. The re-releasing also puts them under less pressure of constantly paying for new designs, because this way they can keep releasing events and cases with hundreds of cosmetics in them. I hope that, with the marketplace both offering all skins to players at all times, and being an additional source of income for the devs, the re-releasing may stop, especially because an increase in the market value of skins now also increases the transaction-fee-based income CF makes with the market. Thank you very much for the comment tho.
First of all, love your determination to the situation. My comment was kind of driven on anger but i absolutely understand how they need to make money off a free game. The market is a controversial feature itself for this particular game since x years ago devs wouldn’t even look into adding it. How was the game back in 2018/19? Peak. since then most popular players left, casual players are whining about how worse the game’s experience got etc. I saw implementing such a change as a last resort. Even tho i still enjoy playing with the market from time to time. For now the only thing that the playerbase can do is observe. Thanks for the reply. Kind regards from the ceo of destroying kids in a mobile shooter.
Part of the reason why the game was significantly bigger in 2018, is because there was far less competition. Other than standoff and maybe forward assault if you are being generous, the roster of high quality first person shooters was relatively small. Everything else was either pay2win, full of ads, or both if you were lucky. Players who wanted to actually play something else, still had to pick one of those games. 2018 we got PUBG Mobile, 2019 Codm was released 2021 Area F2 and PUBG New State dropped 2022 Apex had a really high peak 2023 Valorant, Rainbow and Warzone were teased. It isnt realistic to expect a small game from Finland to sustain the same market share, when several high budget games release, with many times CF's financial and marketing resources. Actually, the game holding on as well as it did is a good job on CF's part, even if not all of their decisions have been correct in retrospect. Back when it was openly communicated that a marketplace was likely not going to happen, there was some legal issues stated with it as well from what I remember I believe that there are some permits that you have, in order to operate a marketplace in the EU. These are likely either hard or expensive to get, which is why most marketplaces you'd think of, are operated from China, Russia or the US There were also tons of challenges with the game's code, because obviously none of this was ever intended when the loadout, cases or what have you, were initially created. Either the game has grown enough to validate tackling the challenges or they found some sort of loophole, but I wouldnt know more than anyone else on that. Most casual players who complain about the game, go for low hanging fruits like hackers, server issues or whatever, which first of all exist in every single game, and second of all, often cannot be fixed because of restrictions with the mobile platform and the devices on it. Most players also sugarcoat the shit out of "the old game" Some things were better, I agree entirely, but overall I would not want to go back. There are so many quality of life changes that I couldnt live without and patching out the few things that have gotten worse, is a much better approach than "going back". I will keep pushing for the things that I think need to change, as soon as anyone listens. I think many players also misjudge the actual size of the community. Looking at content creator's viewerships and whatnot, is not representative, because not everyone cares about content, and most content is quite boring anyways. There are thousands of players who open the game once every few days, and the time they spend and money they pay is likely 5x more than what the competitive scene is making them.. Not even speaking about the normal casual scene that grinds the shit out of passes, missions and milestones. As I said earlier, I dont think marketplace is some sort of last resort attempt at all. You need to stop thinking of "the devs" as 1 united entity. Parts of the team have entirely different views from each other, and the team is constantly changing as well. Some devs that you might remember have been there for almost a decade, others have just joined relatively recently. If someone argues for a change and backs it up with data that it is both desired by the community and would improve the game, then chances are that they'll get to make it. If the feature is set to generate additional profit, then odds are even better. As I said above, I think the mindset behind skins in the past had been, to keep all skins available to all players. Marketplace accomplishes that same goal, WHILE making money and also without decreasing the value of the items in the process. Whether we got market because of a change of mind or a change of leadership, I dont know, but I'll tell you that much, it is definitely better than the old system, especially if devs now follow through on removing old items from new operations and cases.
A big part of why we have people complaining about the game now is simply nostalgia - no one looks at all the bugs and game breaking glitches from the past, its natural that the brain remembers only the good part, which is unfortunate. I also like your idea on pushing for changes, let's create a damn movement, im struggling to write that with a straight face. Just imagine a critical protest lmao. Yeah the content is boring, i tried making something myself and i thought it was pretty low quality so it would have no views but idk, i might just got lucky and comparing it to any other c-ops channel i don't think it was that bad, since the views went kinda crazy for almost no subs. And yeah, it gotta pay pretty when they're releasing bundles or whatever you can spend money on so often. The "devs" part - i have no idea tbh , but i guess you had some insights since they promoted your market video. I sometimes wish i would talk to them from a player's perspective( as most of us do) and see their perspective on everything, cause without that, all i can do is bitch online without a clue on how do they want the game to be. I sometimes thought why would they add the market and it obviously made sense, player want skin, player buy credit, hmmm.. more skin to buy = more credit bought. I can agree that it is a better system since it brought me back to this game, but it has flaws that you already covered. Overall, we come to a conclusion that no matter who, no matter what he will do to the game someone surely will complain. I also can't comprehend how much time do you have to write this much. Im jealous on your english, unless you're using some kind of AI.
hey , i was jus randomly searching critical ops vid, your channel came across me, ii wanna ask is it possible to play CO in Pc ? , cause ack in a day 2016, i used play it on Fb and all of sudden i stopped played , many years later i came back now. when i check the game they removed on Fb. I wanna know is it possible to play pc emulator something like that.
Emulating the game is not allowed and will get you banned. The game is not available on PC anymore, you can however play the game with mouse and keyboard on mobile.
So there is like 1150+ skins in critical ops remove 50 or some skin that has simple design let's say we have 1100 and the developers decides to make it in hd quality so I don't know how they put the texture to gun it could be from one single texture or multiple texture but let's say they wants to put actual 4k texture on every skins depends on the format of the image it could be at least 5mb for one texture if used another image format it go even higher like 24mb for one picture which I don't think they would do that but I think it's probably from 3-6mb for one texture so do the math that to 1150+ skins y'all think how big the game size will be, surely the skins will looks so much better because it is in hd but at what cost?. Especially the skin that has too many stuff on them it's looks very ugly if on low resolution that's why they added skin quality feature that should solve the low quality skin problem right?. Or you can make it to be downloadable let's say 600mb of hd textures etc.But still some of the skins even on high quality they looks so ridiculous it's like you find some art.png on google edit the the pic play around with it then just Photoshop to the glove and just be like yeah that would do it and then boom!.It's in the game already. Notice how some low tier skin looks so much better than the high tier one?.Despite it having a simple texture desgin. Quantity over quality. 😮💨
no, the one choosing is the buyer. from experience, the buyer usually chooses the cheapest option. if i wanted to sell my item to someone who i know, i’d make sure to sell my item a bit more expensively, as there’s a lower chance of someone robbing the specific buyer of your skin. for the price of a higher cost for your mate🤷🏻♂️
I'd love to see more free skins or cases in the game because I'm playing 1 - 2 year(s) on almost new account and I don't have knife or gloves or some really good skin on gun. And I'd like to see more skins on the characters. Have a great day 🥰
I think prices will go up long term.. Right now is a good time to buy, but selling makes no sense because everyone is just selling their unwanted stuff way under value atm..
