Seeking as many experiences and adventures as possible, while hopefully inspiring others to get out there and do the same, with a focus on #chasingsmiles . .
Isn’t that the case for many if not all countries? Perhaps it’s time to focus on the positives and hopefully then we can make a positive difference. Positivity breeds positivity. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Dean I don’t quite know what you mean by that but judging from the crucifix in your profile that is not inverted, I will assume that you are a good person, so I will just assume you are being positive. All the best and thank you for your comments.
@@OverlandingwithBruce I'm being positive. I saw you are struggling with heights. Look at the positives and it will help you bridge the gap. I enjoy your videos. I'm ex Zim farmer who lost my home, farm and livelihood. Brings back good and bad memories. But the harsh reality is, the people are suffering in Zim. Everyday is a struggle to survive. It is a beautiful country that is mourning and it is sad to see.
@@deanhatty 😂😂😂no amount of positivity would help me do that 😂😂😂 No denying people are battling-people are battling everywhere not just in zim. I’m sorry for your loss but looking at the positive side it could be worse if you were in one of the current war torn countries. We have all lost and lost big, but I cannot do anything about that and cannot keep dwelling on the past as it won’t help. I would also definitly want to stay away from politics - we all have our beliefs. The only thing I can do is spread a bit of positivity while traveling in a country I love and hopefully that will make a difference even if it’s in a small way. Thanks for the messages. All the best.
Hi. My brother inlaw is the estate manager. Been there for a number of years. I have passed this video on to him. If you go back, I can give you his number and he can take you around.
Bruce, honestly I love how you add some humor in your commentary. I think you should try comedy as well (pun intended) 🤣🤣🤣🤣. All the same, I love your content my brother very informative, spot on, I have learnt a lot about my country from your videos, keep it up. I am a Zimbabwean living in Russsia and your videos makes me miss home so so much.
Hahaha comedy? No thanks. I will probably offend someone and be thrown out 😂 Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate the positive comment and support. All the best in Russia
Always thoroughly enjoy your Zimbabwe adventures. You really had a tine there on the Zambezi. And for the smiles you always put on those kids, I'm very grateful.
Good day Mr Bruce. I just finished enjoying this episode. This is real bush camping it looks wild and I Love it. I think visiting Zimbabwe should be on my bucket list.
You should. It’s an amazing country with some amazing wild places to stay in. Definitely my favourite but I might be biased as I was born there. 😂 thank you for watching
My Zimbabwean brother thank you. Next time try nyamapanda then cross zambezi from Tete drive into Zambia then Centenary up to vic falls. God bless you. Amen
Thank you. There is so much to explore and so little time and money to do so. Those places are definitely on the list. Thank you so much for watching and commenting
Thank you. Yes you can. It’s a bumpy dirt road but no 4x4 needed. Also use the western entrance after reporting to reception. Much shorter distance on dirt Thank you for watching
Great travel report Bruce. Now we are actually sorry we did not visit Chewore when being so close, staying in Mana Pools. Looks brilliant. But more reason to come back of course. Look forward to the seeing the next episode and your trip to the highlands! Cheers Remco PS you are so right about the cost of the Chitake camp. Would be worthwhile partnering up with another traveller and share the cost.
Shock issues again Bruce I would drop the tyre pressures to 1.8 bar but the problem with independent suspension and particularly where you have a significant deviation from vertical the shocks are worked hard this is why most Aussie vans with independent suspension have double shocks. Almarie likes to rub it in "in your face Bruce" 🤣😂🤣😂
😂 let’s not talk about the fishing. I was running 1.5 bar. The funny thing is the Amorok shocks I found in harare have lasted ever since on much worse roads so perhaps it’s a bad or wrong spec of shock that is being used? Thank you very much for watching and commenting and not mentioning the fishing 😂
Your videos are great you showed us Kanyemba where Luangwa joins now when you in the area, point out where the kafue joins which is bigger than the Luangwa, it would be great thank
Such true words are the start. I love your reflections on people you meet. I have had some wonderful trps though southern Africa and 99.999999% of people I meet (and I make it a point to stop off at village stops to buy snacks) are the most wonderful people you could meet. The only people that haven't, have been people in uniform, but you get that everywhere. Love your travel videos and honest thoughts you present as you drive around.
Absolutely wonderful videos. 60 days until we pick up a 4WD in Johannesburg and drive to Gonarezhou and then Mana Pools. Your videos have provided so much information for our pre-trip planning and getting our excitement levels up. Big thank you for making and posting there wonderful videos.
i fell in love with this episode, first tym watching and u have certainly gained a subscriber. Brilliant content from the commentary to the actual filming. Thanks again 2 Canaan for the brilliant hospitality, these guys are unsung hereos...
Lovely camera work and story in an exquisite region! Thanks for sharing Bruce! An extended Zimbabwe safari is definitely on the list for the near(ish) future.
Thank you very much. I would definitly recommend one. You are welcome to email me through OverlandingwithBruce.com if you need some assistance. Thank you very much for watching and commenting
Hey Bruce. You probably don’t remember me (also a Turner) but when you trek through Malawi again get in touch. Better yet, bring your dad up here. Our dads were friends many moons ago. Have a spot on the lake and camp regularly in the AP parks. Great show btw, congrats.
Hi Brad. Was your dad’s name Lionel by any chance. I think I remember a Lionel Turner. Now that sounds like a great plan. Please email me your contact details to bruce@owb.co.za and let me know your dad’s name so I can tell my old man too. Thank you and thank you for watching
Thank you Bruce, what a great experience, stunning views of so much game & the river. Well done El on catching the biggest Tiger 😅. Looking forward to the next episode! ❤
There are actually several locations with footprints and some even with "bones". Totally amazing. Did you see this video where I visited the footprints?ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3RPothaxMyM.html (Zimbabwe Unknown) Thank you so much for watching
I guess we fit into that category of "some people" . It is common practice to catch and release the tiger fish. Apparently they are not great fish to eat anyway. But I also think that its like saying what's the point of chasing a white ball around a golf course or taking a picture of an animal or ? It's all about enjoyment and I cant tell you it was a lot of fun and remember we are not fishermen/people. Also this is going to be strange but I actually felt better that they were released and not killed also. You should try it sometime. Thank you for watching.
