A sleep token song needs a little roo. To breathe to break it down. Let him say like a whole verse and then try to figure it out. Pausing after like every line will make you rethink absolutely everything two lines later.
I visualized something slightly similar...instead of flowers I would make a scene with him on a huge mound of metal/wires, no nature from foreground to horizen. He is holding the last vestige of life...a single rose with with its last pedal separating and wilting as it falls onto the foreign cold ground....not even in death can it find solace in the familiarity it soo yearns to embrace if even for a fleeting moment. Just where my thoughts took me when listening to Vessels torment.
This one song is so rich, varied, it feels like a whole album by itself. It truly is a masterpiece. And yes, I don't cry easy but this one and Euclid is among the very rare songs that can make me cry (Hurt by Johnny Cash is also a strong contender) I loved your reaction and deep analysis of that song it was very genuine, great job ;)
I perceive it as wanting to go back to being innocent as a child again and wanting to return to a world where you have no worries or stress of being grown.
Stuck in a quantum patern, tangled with what I never said is deeper than you touched on. In physics, 2 particles can be entagled in what is called quantum entanglement. These 2 particles are forever bound and act identically no matter the distance between them. This means that he is forever entangled with everything he never said and can never escape it, it will haunt him eternally. This is a testament to he fact that in any relationship, if something needs to be said, you better get it out or you will likely live to regret it as Vessel does. The part about atoms stopped fusing is in reference to a dying star. When a stars atoms stop fusing into usable fuel, the star dies. Good reaction! I enjoyed it, keep up the work!
"Somewhere the atoms stopped fusing" - Basically, the atom's split. It's their relationship coming to an end. "I'm still your favourite regret." - She cared for him deeply, but regrets being with him. "You're still my weapon of choosing." - She's still what he still uses to hurt himself.
It's nice to see someone react so sincerely that I can truly relate to. I'll just say this. For some reason, ST makes my heart beat in the correct rhythm again, no other way that I can put it...
“Science lesson”. The atoms stopped fusing actually refers to the death of a star. Fusion happens under immense amounts of pressure which is what happens in the center of a star and is it’s source of energy. Once the atoms at the center of a star stop fusing, there is no longer an energy source to fuel the star. A few things can happen. The star might shed it’s outer layers becoming a dimmer, colder star. Or if the star is extremely heavy, the force from the fusion was the only thing keeping the star from collapsing on itself. Either way, he’s using the death of a star as a metaphor. And the second line “stuck in a quantum pattern, tangled with what I never said” is another science reference using quantum entanglement. Basically when 2 or more particles cannot be defined without referring to the other, even if seemingly unrelated. Being bound to something he never said. Gotta love this dudes metaphors.
I dream in phosphorescence Bleed through spaces See you drifting past the fog But no one told you where to go We dive through crystal waters, perfect oceans But no one told me not to breathe And now the weightlessness recedes My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I will travel far beyond the path of reason Take me back to Eden, take me back to Eden Take me back to Eden Well yeah, I spit blood when I wake up Sink porcelain stained, choking up brain matter and makeup Just two days since the mainframe went down and I'm still messed up Room feels like a meat freezer, I dangle in it like cold cuts Missed calls, answered phones from people I just don't trust Mirror talk, fake love But I'll take a pound of your flesh Before you take a piece of my paystub White roses, black doves, Godmother, rise up I need you to see me for what I have become My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I guess it goes to show, does it not? That we've no idea what we've got until we lose it And no amount of love will keep it around If we don't choose it And I don't know what's got its teeth in me But I'm about to bite back in anger No amount of self-sought fury Will bring back the glory of innocence My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I have traveled far beyond the path of reason Take me back to Eden Take me back to Eden
I don’t comment on older videos but I truly didn’t expect to open this reaction to baggy jeans being played😭 Metalkpoppies rise up🫶🏻🤟🏻 I saw someone explain their three albums like Sundowning ( and obsessive relationship) This Place Will Be your Tomb ( heartbreak/ Vessel realizing that Sleep isn’t good for him) Take Me Back To Eden ( trying to get over sleep and reminiscing about when he was himself )
Hey! I’m trying to save up money for some stuff for my set and then I’ll come back in full swing! There is this chair that I want but it’s pretty expensive and it’s just taking awhile! But I miss making videos so much!
@@BriBeeReacts Girl, get some Ren reactions done. You'll earn more than enough to buy your chair! React to the Tales series. It doesn't matter that you've heard the songs before. Just tell us how you felt when you first heard the songs. I mean this as politely as I can say it, we don't watch your videos to look at your set, as pretty as it is - and it is pretty. You're very charismatic and we watch your video because of you. (and the fact that you're pretty doesn't hurt. Sorry, just saying).
The “sea of glass” connection is awesome; you’re going to have to listen to the whole discography for metaphors of water, the depths, drowning, the ocean, etc. and realize just how much meaning is couched in your keen insight.
