Great analysis on the lyrics. Musically this feels like such a worship song to me but lyrically it's very sad and yet Vessel still makes it sound so beautiful. Can't wait for you to get to the other albums. On a side note, there is a very new band out there that is very Sleep Token like with a female vocalist. They are called breakk.away and only have 2 songs so far but you should totally check them out. Much love!

I believe this song is about vessels true love passing away from some sort of disease like Alzheimer's or dementia from the part where the person's forgetting their words and having to fabricate the past for them to remember and pretending everythings Okay for them to be somewhat comfortable 😔 it's a sad but beautiful song and an important plotline in the story

It certainly comes over that way, but if you know the history of the people involved, it probably means more that the person is moving on to higher things that do not involve vessel. They do not need his love. They've moved on to where his love doesn't matter. That's all I'm going to say about that 😅

"The trauma we cant regrow" for me relates to if you and another go through such a traumatic incident together, that bond is usually strengthened and life long. And he's craving it again since it has probably faded in one way or another. But obviously open for interpretation, god I love Vessel!

This song and others similar from them makes me wonder if Vessel has some experience within Christian worship music. The feeling of the songs is very similar at times, even if the lyrics and intention behind it are different

There are references of a car accident in a few songs. Everything and i mean everything ties together in the trilogy of the albums. You have only scratch the surface of Sleep Token. It is a very very emotional journey.

A sleep token song needs a little roo. To breathe to break it down. Let him say like a whole verse and then try to figure it out. Pausing after like every line will make you rethink absolutely everything two lines later.

@@TheEmeraldKing1988 This person specifically targeted things that are negative stereotypes associated with women (checking the camera to see how you look, playing with your hair) as a way of saying she isn’t a real reactor. Please find me a male reactor who has been told they’re not a real reactor because they look at the screen or touch their hair. I’ll wait. ☺️ I’ve seen dudes who burp loudly while listening to music, who hack up whatever’s in their throat, and who do genuinely distracting things during their reactions. No one says anything about their behavior. But if you fidget by playing with your hair (something that visually doesn’t distract from the music) THAT’s the line for not being a “real” reactor? Come on now. She’s doing great and this guy was just bitter.

You are one step closer to understanding the complexity of emotions one can feel in a dream, and from experience lemme tell you.....the sorrow of seeing a lost one you never intended to lose can weigh heavy so much it almost seems like they can levitate while we sink like precious stones forgotten.
