REACTION TO SLEEP TOKEN: THE NIGHT DOES NOT BELONG TO GOD 

As a grown ass man, I am not ashamed in the slightest to admit there's several songs in their discography that I physically cannot listen to without crying. The lyrics and the way Vessel delivers them brings up things I burry deep down, and simultaneously shows me that I'm not alone in those things that I feel. There is no other band out there that I connect with on such a deep level. Worship.

If you are going down this hole, don’t listen to Euclid until you listen to every song. It will make you appreciate the song beyond measure if you do that. Get goosebumps every time I hear it.

Every sleep token song is unique. They don't sound like anyone else, even when adapting multiple styles. Its so cool to see them getting the recognition they deserve. 🤘

Going from the album Take Me Back to Eden to Sundowning always feels like a change in pace because of how vastly different their discography is. Listening through their album’s chronologically is so satisfying I hope you enjoy it! I cry every time I do

I like that this song ends with the same melody that begins, like a loop, endlessly... ,loops are kinda recurrents events in theif songs,if you have the chance to listen to Euclid by them you gonna definitely remember this moment

There are so many theory’s behind the meaning to everything he’s singing about. I highly reccomend checking out the lore behind. It makes the experience more intriguing. I definitely reccomend starting from the very beginning to the very end. It all comes together so perfectly!

Great to see you experiencing Sleep Token from the beginning of the trilogy! It may have been mentioned that there's a connection between 'The Night Does Not Belong to God' and 'Euclid'. So when you finally get to 'Euclid' at the end of this journey, everything inbetween will make it soooo impactful! Also, I suggest maybe taking a slight detour between each main album to react to their Ep's 'One' and 'Two' and the individual singles 'Jaws' and 'The Way That You Were', as all their work is connected to the overall lore/story of the band. Glad more people are reacting to this song. Been my favourite Sleep Token song for years. You're gonna have a blast checking out their full discography, they are so so good. I've found that the more i listen to their music the more i appreciate their other songs when revisiting them.

What I'd give to be able to listen to their discography for the first time again

Sundowning (the name of the album) is a term used for people with dementia which usually happens at night where they feel agitated and out of place. I bring this up because it's a major theme of this album and the main character losing someone to the disease which is referenced several times through out sleep tokens albums

Nothing like Sleep Token. My absolute favorite. There is no band that can blend genres as coherently and cohesively as them while simultaneously slapping the emotion right into you. You’ve got to react to Alkaline and Blood Sport. Blood Sport being the most gut wrenching song they have.

Theres a deep lore that follows behind the band and theres a full acoustic show he did that deepens it as well. As far as what to listen to next you can go anywhere but I'd go farther back and listen to Calcutta

I was also at louder than life on saturday!! I did want to see falling in reverse, but saw sleep token instead, wish they hadn't played at the same time. Sleep Token live was absolutely amazing!!!!!!

I think you should go with Jaws next. That song is something else I can’t explain it. On what the night means, I think you got it spot on. Since this is the first song off their first album Sundowning: sundowning is a medical condition in which one’s mental deteriorates as the sun comes down and lead into the night with confusion anxiety aggression etc.

I've always taken this song as having double meanings. Sundowning is a symptom of Alzheimer's as the disease worsens. So I've taken it as the passing of a person he loves. "When you live by daylight with angels at your side. In order bestowed by the sunrise." In the daytime, their memory is clear and they are wonderful, and everything is good. "And you remember everything only til the sun recedes once again." The person's disease takes over and they lose their memory and cognitive ability, becoming angry or aggressive. "The whites of your eyes turn black in the low light. In turning divine, we tangle endlessly like lovers entwined" I take this as not only that shift, but also that persons passing, and as their whole theme suggests, he desperately wants to dream to be with Sleep. So with their passing, he's begging to be given the night, so he can dream and be with the parts he loves about this person again, the only way he can be.

Hello again, glad to see that you're doing more Sleep Token songs. An interesting thing that I learned regarding this album is what Sundowning is. The term "sundowning" refers to a state of confusion occurring in the late afternoon and lasting into the night. Sundowning can cause different behaviors, such as confusion, anxiety, aggression or ignoring directions. There are hints of that referenced in this album. There are many great songs on this album (Well, all of them really) but if I had to recommend a few it would be Higher, Levitate, and Bloodsport (From the room below).

Dont let the negativity get to you. Plenty of good people that want to watch others grow and suceed instead of just trying to tear things down.

From what I gather. He only sees the woman he loves in his sleep. And so he Worships the deity Sleep. So that he can see the woman he loves in his sleep. Also when you look at his album trilogy you can see that it goes through the phases of night with symbolic references to moon phases. Sundowning is the beginning of night, This Place Will Become your Tomb is the middle of the night. And Take Me Back to Eden is when the night is ending. And so the last song on their newest album Euclid ends with the beginning of this Song which is the first song of their Album Trilogy. Might I suggest listening to Calcutta from sleep token. That song explains this idea that he sees the woman he loves only in his sleep.

It describes a certain accident from his past and why he chooses to go to sleep to see a certain person in his dreams, every song is connected and each album a different stage in its process but if you dont know he was in a band previously before sleep token called blacklit canopies and yes it gets even more sad

I think you will find the Sleep Token community very accepting and positive. No need to worry about being canceled even if you have an unpopular opinion. Just be prepared to have good reasons if you dislike something. There have been a few instances where someone got heat for hating on sleep token for no good reason. Enjoy your journey!

I think you have what it takes to grow into a big reaction channel. And you seem to already be aware of / fan of some of the best artists to react to - Ren, NF, Sleep Token, Falling in Reverse - that's some reaction bread 'n butter right there. Here's a little tip for you though: You probably ought to do some research or get someone to help you to try to do whatever you can to reduce or eliminate the background white noise / fuzz in your audio. Obviously, it would be best to eliminate the static/fuzz completely, but until you figure that out, there is also something you should be able to do immediately during editing process - and that's to simply mute your mic's audio track when the music is playing to get rid of the background white noise/fuzz at least while the music is playing, just so it sounds better and is more immersive. Good luck. I'm sure I'll be back for more Sleep Token and Ren reactions, when you make them. 👍
